They were able to fully refurbish a Technics dual cassette deck which needed specialty work done. No other local repair shop was familiar with cassette deck repair. Very happy to be able to reliably record mixtapes again!

I had problems with my internet not having a valid IP configuration. I tried all these trouble shooting solutions, restarting, etc all to no avail. I got to texting Prabh and he had the solution in half an hour. Top notch guy and service. Highly recommend!

I would say they do a fairly good job. Requested for the lower case of my laptop to be fixed and it took quite a long while to get the part delivered. Fingers crossed, I hope the repair lasts.Edit:It's been 4 months, and the repair still stands. I would say they do a pretty good job .

I had dropped my Xbox elite controller and one of the sticks quit clicking. After seeing how tough of a repair it would have been for me to do I handed it off to these guys and they fixed it up like nothing had ever happened to it! I even had a bit of trouble the first time I got it home, told them of my issue and got it resolved the next time I went in. More than happy with the experience I had with Budget Repair. Would highly recommend to anyone with a problem they can t fix. Thank you!

My dad recommended this place to me, and I'm very glad I came here! Prabh is very kind and helpful. The prices are great, and they go to great lengths to make sure that you are aware of everything and get the best service. They even made sure that I knew if I got my new but poorly working computer fixed or replaced with the warranty that they may try to get out of it since it has been fixed by a third party, but that it is illegal for them to do it. They also offered me a backup computer for free while mine was getting fixed! I will definitely gone here again!

Budget Repair did such an amazing job and made the process of repairing a cracked screen on my iPhone 7 easy and stress-free. I dropped it off and it was fixed by the next day. I am so impressed by their professionalism and customer service.AND the repair was half the cost of every other iPhone repair place in Lawrence and nearby towns. I did a lot of research before choosing Budget Repair and can confidently say this is this best option for repairs in the Lawrence/Topeka area. The price was fair, the work was excellent, and it was all done quickly and efficiently. You can feel safe leaving your phone with them and trust that they'll do a good job. This is the kind of small-business customer service you always hope for.

A couple weeks ago, my iPhone suddenly could not hold a charge. I would charge it 100%, unplug it from the charger, and not use the phone. Then 2 hours later, the charge indicator was at 30%.Prabh said replacing the battery would likely be the solution. The price was reasonable and he said the new battery is even more efficient! It s true. Now my battery charges super fast and stays charged longer.I work full-time and want to thank the kind technician who fixed the phone on a late Friday afternoon

So I'm actually writing this review on the device that was repaired. My chromebook had a cracked hinge and a small part of the screen was opening up. I originally took my chromebook to uBreakiFix as it was only a five minute walk from my apartment. They were able to diagnose the problem and said they could make the repairs. They needed to order a certain part first and told me they'd call me once it arrived. Nearly three weeks later, still no call, so I went in to ask. They apologized and said they had the part, but it turned out to be the wrong one. Of course I wasn't going to wait any longer, so I took my service to this amazing place called Budget Repair. When I explained everything, Prabh immediately knew what was wrong and what to do. I left my chromebook in his care as he said it would be ready by Monday. ( I went in on a Thursday, I believe). When I picked it up, it was in excellent condition!! It truly looks as though there was never any damage at all. I wish I knew about this place sooner, but now that I do, I want to highly recommend that everyone should take their damaged devices to this business. The pricing was good and Prabh definitely knows what he's doing. I'd give ten stars if I could. Need something repaired? This is the only place you need!

Saved me from having to buy a new printer. Diagnosed over text in less than 15 minutes when HP Tech Support never mentioned the option that worked in a 3+ hour phone call. Great service with compassion and caring; you can't beat that. I highly recommend them for any technological needs.

Excellent customer service!! My phone repair ended up being more of a PITA than expected. There was some damage done to the back glass during the repair and the new LCD ended up being defective. Prabh was upfront about the damage and ordered a new back immediately. And when I reached out to let him know about the defective LCD, he ordered that too. Replaced both at no cost, and gave me a discount on the original repair price for the trouble. The repair seems to have gone a lot smoother this time! Haven't had any trouble with the new parts so far. I would definitely recommend this business!! Helpful, accommodating, and affordable.

By far one the best phone repair companies! Easy to communicate with and really quick repairs. Cracked my iPhone 7 screen and they were able to get me in and out with a new screen in 30 minutes. Price was way lower than what the competitors were offering me!

Got my iPhone 7 s screen replaced. Great price since they gave a discount for shipping it to their Lawrence branch and returning a few days later. Excellent communication and the screen looks good. The only issue was that they told me that the phone will be back in 4-5 days but it took around 10 days because of delays in shipping. However, they gave an extra $5 discount even though it was out of their control.

I was an idiot and flew my drone too close to a tree to get a shot and then crashed tf out of it. The right front propellor arm was totally broken and the drone had to be rewired. I started the process thinking that I was smart enough/had the right equipment to fix it on my own. I quickly realized that I couldn't do/didn't have either of those things.I showed up with my drone half disassembled and they saved the drone and me hundreds of dollars for my business because I didn't have to purchase an entirely new one. These guys are super friendly, helpful, and resourceful. Any and all technology problems you have, this is the place to start I would recommend their services to anyone.

This is the cheapest place you can find in town and customer service is also superior. If you find somewhere cheaper, he will beat the price by $10, but tbh that probably will not happen because he's already being very fair with prices. Higher value+ cheaper price.Why is Budget Repair completely worth it?The guy who works on your device is super nice, knowledgeable and humble. He charges a fair price and is completely honest about costs. He will go out of his way to look for cheaper alternatives unlike corporate chain repair places. He will look at multiple websites to get the best part (whether used or new) for the cheapest price. Some places will only go to one website to buy all of their parts because they are bound by contract I think. My computer broke because my brand new backpack had a manufacturing issue I was completely unaware of.I was originally quoted $450 dollars plus 5 weeks to finish from china but the same repair and part from Budget Repair with a brand new part from China would cost about 100 dollars less.10/10 would recommend. Great experience.

Great service and pricing! They are very responsible and super efficient. USPS sent the part to a wrong address and the owner spent about two hours on the phone trying to contact the almost-inaccessible USPS customer service center to figure out where the part was. Really appreciate that. Once they got the part, they managed to fix and return my laptop to me within 24 hours! Highly recommend!

My husband tried to fix cracked glass on our iPad due to the pandemic and most repair stores were closed. Bad idea! He tore the home button and ultimately damaged the LCD display. We reached out to thumbtack for help. Budget Repair was the first to respond! He helped diagnose our issue online within a few questions and offered to repair for a very reasonable price. But that was just the start! As an essential employee, our schedules were not working out for us to drop off for the repair. We reached out with the dilemma and within minutes he had sent a postage paid label for us to send it to him! He alerted us the minute he received it and kept us updated on the progress throughout even sending pictures along the way! Once complete he shipped it back quickly and carefully packaged. It works perfectly! Cannot thank Budget Repair enough for getting our iPad back working! Here are some of the main things about his business that we most appreciated:1-FAST response from start to finish! Typically had a response within minutes!2- Very professional and easy to work with! 100% satisfaction! He guaranteed his workmanship for a year from the repair!!!3- Affordable!! Great pricing!4- Greatly appreciated the pictures of the progress and constant updates!Bottom line We HIGHLY recommend Budget Repair for any of your electronic repair needs! The owner is a wonderful man with a friendly and easy demeanor. He fixed my wife's laptop, a windows 10 machine, which had a broken screen. It works perfectly now, and everyone else in town had told her they were unable to do the repair.He was very clear about how he would fix the machine and demonstrated a remarkable understanding of its mechanics.I will be bringing my phone here to repair it as well too. I'm new in Lawrence and am happy to say I've found my tech guy. =)

Good place to get repairs. Got my laptop keyboard working again although they couldn't figure out how to get my power button working; requiring me to always keep my power cord to wake up my laptop when it goes to sleep for too long. Small inconvenience but I've never travelled w/o my charger.

HIGHLY recommend!! I was having issues with my MacBook, and Apple quoted me a $500 repair to replace the entire keyboard for 1 broken key. After just a few shorts minutes, he was able to determine my laptop was included in a previous keyboard recall he remembered seeing. He recommended I contact Apple and confirm the model with their repair service. Apple immediately apologized for giving me misinformation on my first quote, sent me a box to ship my laptop to them, and fixed my laptop completely free of charge! (which I'm using to write this post)

Disappointed my Samsung TV quit after warranty but very pleased to find someone in Lawrence to make several attempts to revive it. Through each attempted part he kept me informed of next option.For my 10-year old TV, it was time to be recycled as repairs would ve been the price of a new one. No worries - they recycle so I didn t need to take time off work to pick it up. Very pleased with customer service!

We used budget repair for a computer that was giving me problems. I was in a tough spot because my classes started in less than 2 weeks. It was finished promptly, with an incredible price, and all through the process I was updated via text which I really appreciated. The drop off was quick, the pickup was quick, and the experience was great. If you have computer problems, I would definitely recommend using Budget Repair. It's TRUE to its name!

I came to Budget Repair to back up my laptop that would not even turn on. The battery had expanded to the point of cracking the touch pad. The server I brought with my computer was very complicated and I no longer needed the advanced functions it provided over a much simpler external hard drive. An external hard drive that is MUCH more user friendly than my server, was suggested via a live link to Amazon. All I had to do was tap look over the specs and reviews and purchase. Saved me tons of time wading through all the potential options.For one very reasonable fee, my laptop was backed up and later installed on my replacement laptop. He was available to personally help me set up my new computer and gave me quite an education on what I could expect going forward with my new laptop as it ages.I believe the owner of this business to be very professional, courteous, knowledgeable of both pc s and Apple products and competent working on either. He has always been reasonably quick to respond to messages and I feel he went above and beyond what I expected. I would highly recommend Budget Repair to anyone in need of computer diagnostics and/or repair.I came to Budget Repair from a google search and decided to entrust them with my 8 1/2 year old MacBook Pro, based on the positive reviews left on several sites.

My laptop suddenly broke down and I was suggested to try this company to get it fixed. The staff was very kind and helped to fix my laptop in just two days. During the period, I received the updated information everyday on how the work was going on. I am quite satisfied with their service. Now my laptop has been fixed and I've found the system starts even more promptly than it was before being fixed. That's so great!

I brought in my almost 4 year iPhone 6S plus to get an estimate for a poorly working rear camera. The estimate was reasonable and the necessary part was obtained in one day. The actual repair was completed in under 2 hours. The new camera lens made my pictures better than when the phone was brand new!Bottom Line: Great repair, fantastic service, and all at a reasonable price. As an added plus, Prabh is a great person and will engage you in interesting conversation if you have the desire and time!!

The ABSOLUTE best repair shop in Lawrence!I came in with a a laptop that wasn't turning on and just wanted to check my laptop charger and battery. After some time Prabh offered to open my laptop and take a look. He advised that it could be an issue with my motherboard, he offered to take it and diagnose it for free. It took a couple days and I got my laptop back good as new. AT SUCH A REASONABLE PRICE!!I can't express to you how wonderful my experience was, he kept me in the loop with text updates and was incredibly kind.I hope for your sake when your looking around for repairs for your device you choose Prabh and Budget Repair you will not regret it.
