Adding to my Review from years ago because this is STILL the place to go and STILL 5 stars!They take great care of their customers! They do NOT rip you off or hike up prices - incredibly fair! Been in business a long time, trusted in the community and known for quality, affordable work. Don't make the mistake of trusting your vehicle to anyone else! Specialty Auto is the answer!

The owner was very personable, professional, reasonable, knowledgeable and convenient. He was able to gain my trust more than any of the other big corporate shops in the area such as discount tire, big O tire or Firestone. I will definitely bring my vehicle back in the future to get serviced.

Honestly didn t even want to give one star. Brought my car in that was having engine problems(pistons misfiring) and asked if he could take a look and figure out if it s a plug or distributor problem. Told him BEFOREHAND that my key release doesn t work on it s own and you have to manually stick your hand under the shifter and pull the key release to let the key out. Waited four days and called to ask for an update. Guy told me that he couldn t get the key out and that he had set the theft alarm off, and had unplugged the battery because he didn t know how to shut it off... MIND YOU, I told him how to release the key so this didn t happen prior.. he told me to come get my car cause he wouldn t have time to work on it anyway. WASTE OF TIME. Wouldn t trust this guy working on my car if he didn t understand how a simple key release for ANY vehicle works... ( I originally had this problem three years ago, and the TireMan from SAMS CLUB showed me how to release the keys.. he wasn t even a mechanic. Think about that for a second) the two times I came back to try and get the alarm to shut off and retrieve my car, he didn t even say a word to me and wasn t helpful at all. I always give people the benefit of the doubt... BUT Won t be bringing my business here ever again.

OVERCHARGES FOR PARTS!!!!!!! He saves at least a minimum of 25% on parts he uses to repairs vehicles. Make sure you research the part he gives you and shows you the actual receipt from the store which is usually Advanced Auto Parts.He makes so much extra money doing this he won't even work on a car if you bring him the parts (certain people get special treatment). He claims it's for warranty reasons but that's BS because the parts already have a warranty. Only thing that needs to be warranties is the Repair labor.Shop around for prices and parts to make sure this guy isn't ripping you off with a smile on his face.

I've been taking vehicles here for several years and they have always taken care of what I needed at a fair price. If I can give this man NEGATIVE ZERO stars I would I hate to bash people businesses that's not what I do but this guy purposely mess people cars up and have to bring it back the next week for the same problem and have the nerves to try and charge the same amount

The first time we went, we had first been to another shop for an estimate. Specialty gave us a lower estimate and told us some of the work suggested by the other shop was unnecessary. They've saved us money more than once, and will always take a look for no charge and let us know what work is needed before they start.
