Lady was very nice, but it took two hours to have a trailer inspected. They only had one worker handling trailers.

It's just a place to park a tractor trailer. No bathrooms just a dumpster. No passenger vehicles allowed to park there

For a place that's supposed to be a "rest area" for trucks most of the parking spots where filled with dropped trailers. No real place to park except for the staging area and behind the dropped trailers. West bound side was the same way.

If you are a first come first serve inspection station, and your hours say you're open till 3:15. And i get there at 2:07pm just to be told you don't take anybody after 2:00pm then you need to change your hours to 2:00pm. Come on state of Kansas. Be specific.

It was a horrible experience. Unclear signage if you are new to the state/area. Then I waited for an hour for the inspector, just to find out this sight only does salvage titles. Their site could have been clearer.

Two cars in the lot and they wont inspect my missouri purchase because its not a salvage title because "this is the only location that does salvage inspections"Now i get to drive 30 minutes either north to i35 or south to olathe because they dont want to do their job. Neat. I love when mandatory bureaucracy is casual on their end, and a crime on mine if not completed.

UPDATED REVIEWAbout a year ago I had about the worst experience I have ever had the misfortune of experiencing, and I left a lengthy review. BUT today, never have I been more impressed. The staff have stepped it up and I see a noticeable difference in the general outlook of the staff. They were happy, helpful, courteous, and a pleasure to interact with. Sharon Jones specifically is well deserved of a shout out for being so friendly and helpful. Thank you everyone for the big improvements. It shows

Staff was very friendly and informative. I was in and out within 10 minutes. Overall the building interior could use some updating and a little fresh paint but functional. Very easy to find and accessible location.

EDIT 10.12.22: It now appears open but I'd suggest calling ahead to verify days/times.Please note: the KHP Inspection Station on I-70 westbound between 54th and 78th looks to be functioning but might have amended hours of operation.The other inspection station off of I-35 in Olathe was predictably busy but still efficient, helpful, and friendly.

Parked and saw the sign that said call the # and someone will come out to you. Called & stated we needed a vehicle inspected. Then was asked if it was a salvage title. Said no.. then were told we had to go to a different location. Not sure what this place inspects.

Exceptional safe place to leave your vehicle overnight or even multiple nights It is a nice clean well supervised resting area but as far as conducting business it should be noted that it has been closed all year for vehicle inspections with no kind of notification as to when it will be operational

The process is easy and quick but the employees there are so rude. I first called to see what i needed to bring and the guy that answered had an annoying tone when answering my questions then when i got there they did my inspection and took my payment but then when doing the paper work the lady asked me for my address. I had just moved into my new apartment so i gave her the street address but did not know the zipcode and she rolled her eyes and took a heavy breathe as she looked annoyed because she had to google it.

For starters the process was simple and easy, they have a three-person team knocking out inspections. My wait time was short and on top of that the ladies were very helpful. I just moved to Kansas and they were very detailed in answering my questions regarding tagging vehicles in this state.

Dont go around 11 because it will be packed. The people were kind and when it became your turn they were efficient and fast. One employee did take their time chatting with a friend who came in when she knew certain people had to be at the dmv by 2 for tags or elsewhere. Other than that itd be 5 stars.

So I'm thinking this is where everyone in the neighborhood parks their trailers when they come home.. I was under the impression it was a rest area but it's nothing but trailers parked here.

Had a very pleasant experience when getting the inspection done on our vehicle. The process was well organized & easy to complete. The staff was friendly & efficient & worked at a good pace so the wait went quickly.

Went to get a vin Inspection on my car and they referred me to the Lamar location. They said they only do trucks trailers and salvaged titles is what I was told by the KHP employee. This doesn't not make sense because they used to do them all. And the car vin Inspection is the easiest out of all this.
