So I went to this Calverts about a week ago to get my oil changed and my brakes checked. They told me they would call me after the inspection.. So the technician Daniel called me and told me that my radiator had a crack in it, transmission fluid is leaking, my oil pan has a crack in it etc etc. All of those things r not true, my husband checked to make sure. They were trying to charge me $1,493.46 to fix all of those things that turns out don't even need to be fixed!!To top off all of that, when they did the break inspection they didnt tighten my lug nuts when they put the tire back on. So when I was driving my jeep the other day I could start to feel something wrong with my tire & it felt like my tire was going to fall off when I was on the highway & luckily I made it home safely. When my husband looked at the jeep's tire he noticed that all five of them were so loose he could turn them with his fingers!!! I'm very lucky to have made it home without my tire falling off. Also, I'm not even sure they changed my oil since my jeep is still saying to change oil....I will NEVER EVER go to Calverts again, nor will I ever recommend anyone to go there!! In fact make sure u stay clear of that place. You don't want this to happen to you!!

I had a 16.00 oil change coupon. I took my Subaru in. the first thing they did is jacked the price up to $29.99. which I agreed to . I then left and one hour later they called me up and informed me my car was done. I went to retrieve they informed me they couldn't do my oil change because my engine is junk and needs replaced. I asked them why, their answer was I had 300,000 miles and my rods are knocking in which I could not here and I have a blown head gasket. I took my car home and checked the antifreeze level . it was good, I pulled dipstick and no sign of antifreeze in oil. I took my car to my mechanic and had him do the oil change and check over the engine. the only problem with car was both the upper hose clamps on the radiator were loose. if they didn't want to honor the coupon all they had to do is tell me they wont honor their coupons or that they were just to lassie to work on my car.

I dropped off my car & simply told them...the car is running hot. When Clay called me & told me the price of the service - he only quoted me for the service I needed. He didn t try to throw in extra services that I didn t need. The entire experience with this location, has been the best. Honest, good prices and excellent work!!! This will be my go-to place for all auto repairs!

I came here to get new front brake pads. I had a coupon for $59.99. my car ended up being one of the ones that didn't qualify for that deal. I only had $70 (enough for the coupon price and sales tax). After explaining this to the manager, Tyler, he made sure I got the brake pads I needed to make the car safe to drive again for the price I could afford. This is by far the best auto repair shop I've ever been to. He could have easily told me too bad and sent me on my way without doing the repair. He went way above and beyond. He has earned a customer for life. We will be bringing all of our cars here from now on.

They tried to over charge me for a simple thermostat change a $13 piece that takes a few minutes. Had the nerve to say for parts and labor almost $500 dollars on my 05 Impala. Never go there crooks plain and simple.

I typically go to other places for my oil changes and service, but received a coupon in the mail for a $14.99 oil change and decided it was worth the extra drive, and decided to give them a chance. Upon arrival, I was informed that because of my vehicle (2002 CHEVY CAVALIER, so not a particularly 'nice' or new car) that coupon was only good for $4 off. That led to my $14.99 oil change becoming $32. Very deceitful. On top of the extra charge, most places tend to top off fluids as a part of the oil change - NOT the case here. I paid an extra $4 (!!!!) to have them do it, as I didn't have time to get to it myself. Unfortunately they just collected my money and never bothered to even fill or check the fluids (my washer fluid was bone dry prior to arrival). This was all bad enough, but I had asked them to get me a quote for new tires prior to my return (the service writer even noted & highlighted it on the ticket). When I returned to pick up the car, I had to wait for the writer to go out to the lot to get my tire size, then a bit longer for her to put together a quote. Overall my experience was terrible, and unfortunately Calvert's has lost my business for good after just one visit.

Today's experience is bad.... I was the first person there and was told I couldn't have an oil change today because all the bays where already full. So I asked for an appointment and they wouldn't make one for my day off. I work 2 jobs. However I was able to go around the corner and make an appointment with Firestone for my day off next week. Thank you Firestone for that. Calvert's your inability to be flexible and help customers will cost you customers. KatieService: Oil change

Dropped my car off at 9 am. It wasn't ready until 5:45pm that same day. My 2-3 hour service turned into 8.5 hour service. When I had left that morning I was told 3 cars were ahead of me, only 3. Not sure what happend, and it wasn't addressed either at the time of pick up. I had to call and check up on my service at least 3 times. My advice, be prepared for the unexpected, have a back up plan just incase your veichle isn't ready until 15 mins before they close! Everyone was nice though, no problem there!Service: Oil change

I went to calverts to get a simple oil change and they gone tell me i need front break pads and a coolant flush and two new rotors. So i paid for the oil change and told them i would come back for the breaks and coolant flush. Once i left there i went to go have my breaks and rotors looked at and i did need breaks but my rotors were perfectly fine and so was my coolant in my car. They did a excellent job on my oil change but they be trying to get extra money for stuff thay dont even need to be touched. Also its stupid they don't accept appointments anymore for oil changes. Nobody wants to wait 3 hours for a oil change even if you there when the doors open.

Phenomenal is the only word to describe this place. Great service, super friendly staff & the best prices anywhere. They had my F150 in & out with a new exhaust system (which sounds amazing) in less time than it takes to order pizza. Shelby at the front desk was great & Josh explained everything they were doing & why it would work the best for me. I could not be happier with the service I received. I will gladly recommend this place to everyone I know!

This place is a rip off I wouldn t recommend my enemy to take there vehicle to this shop. First of all I dropped my vehicle off at 9:00 am I was just getting a alignment and tuneup. I guess because I came in with with a nice truck and fancy rims that they assumed that I had money. I was told that my truck was going to be ready within two hours. I didn t receive my vehicle until after 7:30 pm. Manager had called me because they got a tool stuck inside my truck. Your best bet is not to use this company otherwise you ll be ready to whoop somebody s ass in there

I have never been to this business but I had a coupon for a $16 oil change so decided to try it out. I am not making this up but from the time I checked in until I drove away was 15 min. I couldn t believe it. I didn t have an appointment or anything. I walked in handed them my coupon for an oil change and 15 min later was done. I will go back for sure!!Service: Oil change

I went for brake service 7/15 and was refused service by Josh because I couldn't afford the brakes he wanted to put on my truck. I called Corporate and they talked to Josh. I was told by Kevin at Corporate and he told me to go back 7/16 and my brakes would be changed. I felt like they shoulda gave me some kind of discount for the burning gas going back and forth and the inconvenience I had to go through. When I went on 7/15 I sat always 2 hrs to just be turned away. Smh. I will be looking for a different place to go from now onResponse to whom ever responded to my postLies. I went in for the $59.00 special for brakes. He wanted to put a different kind of brakes on my car that at the time I could not afford. Josh then said that he would not do the service on my truck because I would just be back and forth with the brakes that I wanted on my vehicle and I had to leave w/o my brakes being done. You was not there and you can be told anything but we have the whole thing on record. I was turned away because I did not have almost $140 for brakes when I only went there for the $59.00 special and this was stressed to them went I first arrived yet I still had to leave w/o my service like I said. I'm gona always hav my proof and I didn't even no my 6 yr old was recordn everything wit his phone. I have none to lie about. I no what I went through there & the only reason I said they shoulda gave me a discount was because I was turned away after biting my gas to get there for a specific service. After I called Corporate he the one that talked to Josh and told me I could go back the next day and he will change them for me

The workers here were very friendly but after I checked my invoice I m not sure they know what there doing. I by all means am not mechanic and am not sure what needed to be done but when I went in told them I needed my breaks and pads changed that in my mind would include all 4 breaks and all 4 pads apparently not here. My Invoice states there were only 2 rear break rotors and only one rear break pad replaced so now after 422$ I will have to dish out another couple hundred to finish the job I ve already paid Calverts to do.

I went in earlier this morning I needed to get my brakes fixed and they had a special going on only to be told that my calibers was locked and that the total to get it fix was $620 on the low end $680 on the high end. I left there actually went to my car dealership just to be told that there wasnt anything wrong with the calibers my brakes needed to be changed my brakes were bad and my rotors which only cost me 2 something long story short never again thank god i went for a second opinion

I was told no appointments on Saturday, first come first serve be here at 8am. Cool we're ( my 7yr old and I) here before 8am and the door was open! Great I thought this should be smooth! I get to the receptionist and tell her what's going on with my car. IDK if she was confused or what but she decided I needed to talk to someone else. Two minute conversation with this man and I'm now 7th in line! Been here two hours and they still haven't gotten my car back there! They are nice otherwise but come on you put me further to the back of the line why should we have to suffer and wait?! Update: after 4 hours we were paying and leaving with the issue fixed. Thanks for fixing the part. No thanks to making us wait longer than we needed to.

Clearly they don't care what lengths their customer have to go through. Given a person cannot sit and wait for shop repairs. I called before coming to ensure I could come drop my vehicle off to obtain a simple oil change. After taking 20mins to get to this location getting my 3yr old out. I was declined service when arrived. After being told I could come, I even advised ot would take me 20mins to arrive. Laugh outloud. He compared himself to a doctor as to why he cant work on my car after calling. It's fine I will never come bac . 0people please don't waste your time calling because when you arrive you will not get service, because they choose what customers they want to service. I just walked out laughing. How unprofessional and a waste of my gas and time calling.

Would not recommend to anyone. Went for an oil change, and had coupon. Explained that was the only service I needed. Was told they wouldn't change my oil due to problem with front crank shaft seal. Saying my car had oil pouring out of it. They could repair it for fee of 254.24. All I wanted was a 15.00 oil change. I left in total dismay. Had not noticed oil in my driveway nor show low on dip stick when I had checked. No low oil light lit on dash control panel. Drove my car to another auto service business. My car was not pouring out oil nor was it low on oil. At this point I was enraged. I purchased oil and oil filter and changed my own oil. Still driving with no oil pouring out or any sign of a leak. Did they assume a female would just fall for their BS. Not this one! But how many other females have they pulled this stunt on????"CONSUMERS BEWARE" CALVERTS EXPRESS AUTO SERVICE....HAS AN EXPRESS PATH TO YOUR WALLET!

My vehicle over heated on a Saturday afternoon. This Calvert s was the closest option with immediate availability. I requested they check the radiator and cooling system, and run diagnostics if necessary. After two hours, the manager informed me diagnostics ($80) indicated a bad radiator cap ($25). He also said they found a blown O2 sensor and torn front CV boot. He claimed all the work with premium parts could be completed in 1-2 hours. The sensor would be about $380 with labor. However, the radiator cap and CV boot with axle had already been replaced about four months back. I decided to take my car back to my regular mechanic and have him redo the work I already paid for. The Calvert s manager was very pushy, kept saying What can I do to convince you to get the work done here and make us your new mechanic? And generally he tried to convince me my mechanic was no good. I just had to smile at that because there s no good answer for a salesman s question like that.Initially, I agreed to have them replace the O2 sensor simply for convenience of time, thinking it d be the same cost elsewhere. Then I tracked down the exact part number and distributor he claimed to use, and found it was one third the price he was charging. We discussed this and he claimed it was a different part. Not to mention the $25 radiator cap when the previous one cost $10.99 from my regular mechanic. More on that in a second. So the sensor... I was in the waiting room more than four hours only to be told they had the wrong part and wanted me to leave the car over the weekend and they would finish it Monday. Personally, I think they knew I would be able to look and see if it was the same part we discussed earlier that I told him I didn t want to be upcharged for. I told them to put the bad sensor back in and ring me up for the radiator cap, because by this time it was late in the evening and if I m waiting until Monday it will be for a mechanic I trust. So Calvert s charged me $108 for diagnostics and a radiator cap. Which is a rip off and they should be ashamed to run their business like that. Additionally, I took the old cap deemed a faulty part back to my regular mechanic who sold it to me. There was nothing wrong with the cap. He ran diagnostics and found the car has a bad head gasket that s about to go, that s why it s pulling too much coolant from the radiator. Not only did my mechanic repair the cv boot free of charge because that was actually a faulty part, but he did not charge me for the diagnostics. If Calvert s had actually run the diagnostics they charged me $80 for, or maybe just known what they were doing, they would have found there was a bad head gasket. Not that I would trust them to do the work. The people here are personable and it was an ample facility. But the triple plus upcharge on parts, premium labor costs for mechanics that are obviously inexperienced, the pushy salesmanship tactics, and the sparse and dirty lobby will have me calling a tow truck on the side of the road and waiting for my regular mechanic over ever pulling into this location, or any Calvert s location, again.

I received a coupon in the mail for a $16.99 oil change and decided to go. Upon arrival, I was informed that because of my vehicle was 2010 Hyundai that coupon was not going to be applied and told me it was going to be around $30. So, I decided to leave because they told me a lie. Other people could have stayed, but not me... There is a Jibby Lube close to them with discounts and no lies.

If I could give this establishment negative stars I would. I took my car in for a brake inspection because the car had some pulsating when the brakes are applied. I receive a phone call 10 minutes later informing me that all rotors (front and rear) are bad and my brakes need replaced. Okay, how much? I was quoted $700. You've got to be kidding me! This place should be investigated by the attorney general for bait and switch practices. They routinely mail coupons out advertising a $59.99 brake job. I gladly told them thanks but no thanks. For $700 I can put money down for a new car. I then went directly across the street to O'Reilly's and purchased everything brakes and rotors for $166. I then took the car to a different mechanic and his inspection revealed 3/4 of brake pad was present on all pads. Furthermore, this place only removed one tire, I know from the handprints from the brake dust on my rims. Yet, they quoted me $700 and stated, "that should get rid of most of your problem."Horrible, untrustworthy, bait and switch, overcharge for unnecessary work, low-down rotten scoundrels. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!

It was the worst experience of my life. They are big scam artist. I went there for a front end alignment. They told me they were unable to do it because i needed new tires on tbe back. Then they charged me 50.00 claming that it was for inspection.

I went for a brake service. They told me 45 mins but i was there over 3 hours. They found unnecessary things to tell me needed fixing. Things that are less than 6 months old thinking I would agree to them but I'm not that woman that's not alert and on top of my maintenance. However the ladies around me, mainly elderly women, seemed to be targeted. Guys take time to go with your mother/grandmother and have their vehicles serviced. Please

I paid a lot of money to have my vehicle fixed which they said the alignment machines had a vehicle on so they did the old way. They claimed it was to windy to justify their work, on my way home no wind was blowing and the steering wheel is off now. I brought it back like they told me to do and once again excuses. I would never recommend my enemy to come have their vehicle fixed here! Can't keep a good word!

If I could give no stars I would, I will never take my vehicles here ever again not only was it a waste of time but also a huge waste of money! I took my suburban in last Wednesday because the brakes were acting up they did a diagnostic and said it was the abs module. This was going to cost over $1,200 to fix but decided that it needed to be fixed so I said ok. Me and my husband asked how long it would take and the guy said about an hour and a half this was around 12-1 pm I called around 3 and was told he was having issues getting the part off but that he was still working on it. At 5:30pm I hadn t heard anything else so I called back and she said that he was still working on it and that it wouldn t be ready untill the Friday. I called the next morning and was told that he needed to get more bolts to go back on the part that the ones that were on it broke so he was almost done. Later that afternoon I finally get word that it s done and when my husband got home we went and got it. Low and behold the problem wasn t fixed there were also no bolts holding the part in place so if it would of came off someone could have gotten seriously hurt. I called the corporate office and was told they would get ahold of the guy and he would call me back. Still haven t heard anything I wouldn t recommend this place to anyone and if you go there be prepared to spend a lot of money and there is a good possibility that your issue won t be fixed. I ll be contacting the better business bureau!

I have read the reviews that don't reflect positively on Calvert's, and I couldn't disagree more. My experience was one hundred percent good ! The staff are friendly and helpful, and the cost is very reasonable. I will be using this crew for all of my auto repairs from here on out . You should too !

I won a free oil change at an auction. When I went there I was informed that it doesn't cover the oil my vehicle needs and between paying half cost for the oil change at the auction and the additional charge they provided me the total came to a five dollar discount. So I technically paid more than if I had just taken it to Walmart or CarMax.

I went to get an oil change and for them to check my brakes and rotors. I asked the cost and was advised they would have to look at it first. I get a call 15minutes later saying my car is ready and I have a oil leak. Mind you I inquired about brakes and rotors. Never mentioned that, nor did I see anything leaking from my Car until I came there for an oil change. I arrive and was given a 700$ quote to fix a oil switch. Lol are they serious. Iwill never go back. I took my car to Firestone, my oil pan was not properly secured after my oil change. I believe this company tries to swendile p eople

I don't know how this place stays open. They send out coupons for a cheap oil change. Then they say the oil on the coupon is not recommended for your car. They get your car on the rack then call you in back and tell you everything in the world is wrong with your car. I have seen them get older people for up to 900 for repairs.

Had front brakes and rotors replaced w/ an oil change. Days later heard squeaking from brakes, which I was told to expect due to ceramic brakes( never had this issue in the past). A few days later, noticed grinding noise from newly replaced brakes. Took car back in for concern. Technician no longer there, new tech claims no findings. However, the brakes occasionally grind and squeak before coming complete stop.Services: Brakes, Oil change
