Greg was amazing. I m confused by all the nasty reviews on this page. I ve just moved to KS and he was an incredible help. Great people skills, very kind, truly a tremendous help. Absolutely no price gouging, don t believe any of that. I HIGHLY recommend taking your business here. Thank you Greg!

Fastest service I've ever had in my life! A wheel bearing failed on my pickup and took out a while slew of parts.The team pulled out all the stops to have my vehicle safe and road worthy in less than 2 days .They were very reasonable on pricing and walked me through everything they repaired and why.I would recommend this shop to anyone who needs service from basic to major. They can do it all at Progressive Auto!!

This guy has a really nasty attitude. He will play nice untill he realize he can t squeeze money out of you. Went to him told him that my car was not moving he said tow it here . I did that the next day and when I got there he said it will need to drop outside but when it s time to put it inside he s gonna call another tow truck to put it inside, however am gonna have to pay for that tow again. Surprised, asked why cause that didn t make any sense. He literally threw a fit, threw his hands up in the air and yell take your car and leave . LITERALLY!! And I had to. My thing is, how am I gonna pay for a tow already to drop the car on YOUR premises, at the door of your shop. And still you expect me to pay for another tow again to push it 5feet in the shop! (Which I know he d wanna charge another $100 minimum for) Makes no sense. That s why you buy shop equipment such as Dollies to move vehicles around and hire workers. PS *he does not have any workers that should speak volume! DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUISNESS TO HIM!

Owner has terrible people skills. Google is used for good AND bad reviews. Helps people know who and who not to go to. There was definitely some good reviews, but to see the one star rating that high? I doubt all these customers are wrong. Work on your customer service skills and you'll get better reviews. Easy as that. No argument here, just stating facts.

Didn t even get service from this place. The mechanic or owner kicked me out within seconds of me getting there, yelling at me because he had to work on a Sunday and said he couldn t take any questions which is all wanted to do, ask a question about the uhauls. That alone shows no good customer service and I would be worried if I ever had to ever take my car there. Really bad experience within just seconds. Update July 4,2022, how was I able to get in if the doors are closed and gate is closed lol, just like you have cameras I also have a dash cam. Please don t do business with this guy, just by the other reviews and how he argues with customers shows the lack of customer service.

PLEASE USE CAUTION! I had a horrible experience here. You can simply read through his reviews and his responses that he is horrible with customer service. Our car sat here and was never fixed. I had to tow it somewhere better. I don't even need to provide details just read through the reviews. Save time and find another place to take your car. The reviews speak for themselves. I was there August 2021, Silver Chevy Malibu. Your service is so terrible you don't remember. Focus on improving your customer service skills instead of reporting folks to Google. These comments speak for themselves! You don't remember dropping my keys off at Family Dollar on 6th street? Like I said read the comments folks! I'm still waiting on Google to call me.

Went in to pick up a UHAUL tow behind car hauler from these folks and upon the inspection we realized my equipment was beat and broken. They helped me quickly, cost effectively, and explained everything incredibly. The couple working here are kind and personable and extremely honest and kind folks. Thanks again guys I appreciate you!

Carrie and Greg were very personable and kind to me! The service was of reasonable time and I was ensured prices before the service even began so I knew exactly what to expect with no surprising bill at the end. I am amazed at this place and I will be coming back! As I am fairly new to the area I wanted to find a reliable location for my auto repairs and maintenance and I m glad I have found the one! Plus it is in the same parking lot as Stacy s restaurant which is a great place to have breakfast or brunch while you get your car looked at. Thank you, Progressive Auto Repair for serving me today

Greg exceeded all expectations I had. My daughter was on her way home to Indiana, from Colorado on her first vacation. Unfortunately her car broke down in Junction City, Kansas. I got a call from Greg. He let me know exactly what he had done, and his plan for getting them back on the road. He used his best judgment and was honest and kind. He even checked back with me to make sure they got home ok. Restored my faith in humanity. Thank you so much Greg. God BlessRandy McCune

Let me tell you a little story.Once upon a time (about a month ago), my friend and I were driving to hike a mountain loop in Colorado when our car said, "Nope." The "nope" came in the form of our serpentine belt adjourning for a lame duck engine session. Basically, stupid is as stupid does. We limped into East Manhattan and cried all over Greg's parking lot (I'm sure the gas station across the street is still cleaning up all our green engine coolant).This was at about 9:45am. Greg told us he would help us out of the pickle we were in, and that we could just chill at the diner across the parking lot. (which has very friendly service by the way). By 10:30 he told us that we weren't going anywhere fast, but that he could get us out squeaky clean by 5pm. We were already four hours into our eleven hour trip, so we had no alternative to get home.7 hours later, and literally at 5pm just like he promised, we were rolling out of Greg's shop and into the wild blue yonder. Greg's honesty and affability are immensely satisfying when he could be yanking your chain for all it's worth. I would recommend his services to anyone. And just for kicks and giggles, I am still very biased towards Kansas, but every time I will pass through East Manhattan, I'll think of the kindness a good man showed a simple stranger and his friend.

I have taken my vehicle to Progressive Auto Repair for the past 1.5 years. They have a small town feel and really treat you like a person. They do not use pressure tactics to try and sell you on a repair. At progressive, they simply explain to you what they found and suggest the repairs, they do not try nifty tricks. Each time that I had my vehicle worked on, they took the time took explain everything. They even went as far as printing off diagrams and explaining to me how the part they replaced works. Also, they kept the old parts and showed me the damage that was being caused. Their pricing is beyond fair and their customer service is top notch. I recommend them to all my co workers and they are the first people I would recommend to anyone!! So, if you are having issues with your vehicle, I HIGHLY suggest Progressive Auto Repair!

When we drove there after U-Haul company told us to use this affiliate we were told to unload. Owner would not come out and even check under the hood (5minutes) Then stated they couldn t get to us until after lunch 3 hours later. How can you make a decision without even looking at issue. We left immediately! We have air conditioning issue since picking up U-haul and 90 degree weather while moving. Would not suggest using this auto place if owner would not even take 5 minutes to get up from his chair to look. Wow just wow. I understand waiting your turn, but not to even look.

Greg was so patient and helpful, and was able to get my car repaired very quickly. I broke down on the side of the interstate on 4th of July weekend and I live out of town, so I was extremely stressed about how I was going to work with a mechanic over the phone. Greg was kind and made sure to keep me updated on the progress of my car, and worked hard to make sure that I could get it back as soon as possible. I'd highly recommend Progressive Auto Repair to anyone who needed fast help of great quality!

I picked up a U-Haul truck and auto transport here when I moved out of state. The folks here were really nice and made the process easy. When they hooked up the trailer, they discovered a wiring problem. Greg was super nice about it and made fixing the truck his priority as I was stuck waiting until the truck was again in good repair for my trip. Once the repair was complete, Greg made sure everything was ready before I left town.Two thumbs up for customer service!

Was told it could be brought in for the warning lights to be checked at no cost since they just got done working on it less then a month ago, brought the car in, they had it for two days and then when i went to pick it up charged me $203. Said the labor for checking the warning lights and testing a few parts was $178. Was lied to about it being free and will never bring a vehicle there again.

I'll be honest, as a Mizzou student I've never thought extremely highly of Kansas. But if the state has any redeeming qualities, Progressive Auto Repair (and its owner Greg) is undoubtedly one of them. When I was hours away from home with nearly complete auto failure, Greg rearranged his schedule to make sure that I wouldn't be stuck in town with no car for three days over the long weekend. He was remarkably friendly, delivered outstanding service, and charged a very fair price. In my worst car troubles ever, I found my best mechanic ever. If you ever need auto services, Progressive Auto Repair is certainly the place to go.

I have a 05 Chevy Silverado that needed some extensive work done on my brakes. I went to different auto shops to get a quote on how much it will cost to get done. Needless to say, they wanted to charge me arm and a leg. But when I came to Progressive Auto Repair, Greg gave me an awesome service! Due to the fact that I had to drive to Nebraska that day, he made sure that my truck was in tip top condition to hit the road. I highly recommend their shop to anyone!!!

Im glad I brought my car to these guys! Nobody else on Junction City wanted to work on my Evo IX, so I tried them out. The people are very helpful and friendly, the service is fast and on time. They did a really good job fixing my exhaust, installing break pads and threw in a quick change oil too. All in one day! Thank you Greg. Its been a good experience. Definitely going to refer this place to other people.

I have called this place a couple of times and also gone in. Each time I have talked to Greg his customer service was horrible. He was disrespectful and inconsiderate. Imagine my surprise to find out that he was the owner of the place. He has no regard for repeat customers apparently. He didn t even care when I pointed out to him when I came in that he was being a jerk. So don t take your vehicles here he doesn t seem like he knows what he is doing and his demeanor is lacking. I would never recommend someone taking their vehicle here just because his customer service is so wretched.

My family and I are traveling cross country and had an AC problem. Stopped in here hopping for the best. Greg was great. Took the time to explain what could be wrong and how he could fix it. Dionostics were done and there was no repair needed. Greg did not charge me anything for the check. There are still nice people out there.

Took my poniac in with difficult tap work needed and other issues that most shops would have turned me away for or charged a ridiculous amount,but not Greg. If you're car is having any kind of trouble Greg at progressive auto is the man to see. Family owned business run by Greg and his wife couldnt ask for a better experience honest and fair priced. Despite them being the only two running the show extremely fast and efficient service. Dont waste your time with anyone else in junction city or Manhattan progressive auto is the place to go.

A P.O.S, stay away from it.I thought it was a one time thing and he was just having a bad day four month ago.I went there today with my buddy who needed some service done on his bike and not even a welcome, straight up starting yelling you need to leave and when asked what was his problem, he stated don t walk in my shop and proceeded by saying YOU PEOPLE NEED TO STAY AWAY way to treat Soldiers in Uniform. Frankly I don t even know how people like that can stay in business. Definitely would not recommend to anyone even as a last resort. And I just saw you reply from my first post 4 month ago, either you blind or see what you want to see, you were rude right of the beginning, your camera will show that, your sign was on, your doors were open and you were there, the first thing you said when I walked in was you need to leave, we closed then you proceeded by turning the signs off and locked the door. No integrity whatsoever.

Greg was amazing with my work!! I just moved here and did not know where to go when my new truck acted up!!! He was fair and honest bout everything!!! His wife and machnic was just as friendly!!! I will definitely go back!! THANK YOU GREG AND SHOP!!!!! AWESOME JOB!!!

it was by a fluk that I landed at this place off I-70 with a car that was not going to go much further. the sign said "open" on a saturday and I pulled in. Not only did they fix the car, they were fast, extremely friendly and efficient and I was on my way within 2 hours. I had a lovely chat with the owner while his most competent employee fixed the car. It was a miracle they were open and so capable of finding the problem and fixing it. If you are ever on I-70 in Junction City, Kansas please go there. Thank you Glen

I own a 99 Ford Expedition (anyone who knows anything about Ford's knows they can be expensive for repairs), the SUV needed the exhaust manifolds replaced. I called around to several places for quotes, when I was referred to Progressive from Dave's muffler I was surprised by the "customer" service. Understandably the repairs that were needed were pretty extensive and could vary in price due to the known condition of the motor (in order to properly replace the manifolds the existing bolts had to be removed, heated up to get them out without breaking them off in the block itself). They gave me a base line quote with the variable costs that "could" be. the total came out to roughly $1200.00, after all repairs were done and paid for I could not be happier, the SUV runs great and plus side does not sound like a "blown out lawn mower" anymore. After reading the other reviews I could not disagree more with the negative comments, I am a soldier not a paid to post "glam" reviews these guys are as professional as it gets including the owner, what most people do not understand vehicles are such a large running variable that even during repairs things can go wrong and if its cause is do to the vehicle itself then its on the owner for cost.

Pros: Cetified MechanicsFast WorkCons: Extremely Disrespectful OwnerCost a lot more than other places in areaStory: Had my car towed in, they fixed it. I went to pick up my car and got a ride from my buddy, my buddy was like dude they way overcharged you, next time come to me, the owner heard this and FLIPPED OUT of my buddy, got to the point where my buddy had to LEAVE and leave me there to find another ride.I was in the waiting room, been there a while so I stated up a convo woth the owners wife. He came in and started bragging about how much money he had! This was after my buddy told me they were overcharging, and I went to another mechanic place and they were $25 CHEAPER AN HOUR!!!! Why you bragging about all your money then saying you're giving me a good deal when places charge MUCH LESS?!?!?!I had to get a credit card through them to pay for it and that was easy. I called back a few weeks later because credit card company said he had my info to access my account, he did. I tried getting the info and was met with extreme disrespect, he only said it once, I didn't get the info needed and then HUNG UP ON me. Very unprofessional.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Greg Clemmons is a very rude and hostile person. He was so upset with my husbands review, that he called and tried to threaten him by asking to speak with his higher ups. NEWS FLASH GREG, if you want better reviews give better customer service. There was no need for any of that. I would NOT RECOMMEND this place. If I could give negative stars I would.

Worst auto service I've ever received. Tried to tell me my transmission was busted, which was not true at all. Mechanic knowingly lied to me to try and Jack up the price. Awful customer service, even worse actual service. Left for a two hour break charging $90 for a check up. Never go here, there are plenty of other shops that are better. Can't be worse
