Small town..small community...small school but nice apartment style housing..great football coaching staff..nice people in town. Overall I felt comfortable leaving the baby of the family for his first year of college...

Nice campus, engaged community! Excellent vocal music program and campus life experience! The large on-campus population in a small town makes for a uniquely valuable social growth opportunity for students coming into college. Small class sizes ensure students are able to be given the one on one interaction time that all data shows to be beneficial. I was a student here and met friends from all walks of life, from around the country who I'm friends with 20 years later. The staff and faculty care about the success of their students, both academically and personally. Like any college experience you will get out what you put into it, but Highland truly offers a unique opportunity for growth during those transition years of a traditional student coming from High School and going on to a 4 year.I'm also very impressed with how much the technical programs have grown and evolved! Or maybe I just didn't know how cool they were before. Either way, good stuff!

I have taken all my college credits though Highland however the last two times have been a disaster. I did online classes and set up a payment plan, I paid off my tuition early but they didn't communicate with the 3rd party company so they tried to continue to charge my account. This year I signed up for an online class but they screwed up and put me in an in person class so I had to drop the class. I emailed to get my deposit refunded and cancel the payment plan and over a week ago and they're still taking money from my account. On top of that the communication is awful and online learning is cumbersome.

Their prices were a little high for being a college in Kansas. I also didn t like that the long distance learning program insisted that they sent you books and automatically added it to your tuition, because as many college students know, the $200 books at the book store are usually $15 to rent from amazon

A disgusting institution that literally steals and scams students out of their money. Promises to help and then no follow through. Their sports all suck and are a joke. Their music teachers sleeps with students. And teachers are rude. Go to JCCC or leave kansas. These people arent good people.

Went to pick up my buddy about a month ago from here. He was on a scholarship here but they lied about his money and everything. They scam people for their money. And the living conditions are terrible it looked like he was staying in a prison.

This is a great college to go to. Sure the dorms need work but that is true for most colleges in the United States. If you want quality education for a low price go to this college!.

Kicked me out even after I was enrolled and attending lectures with my books in hand. They are not friendly to international students.
