I traveled from Colorado Springs, Colorado to Mountain Home, Arkansas to watch the solar eclipse of 8 April 2024. On the way back, I started hearing a loud vibrating coming from what I thought was the rear of the vehicle. Earlier that day, as I started the return trip, I drove about a mile with the parking break on, so I was incredibly worried. On a side note, why do PARKING BREAKS allow you to drive with it on from a stationary position? Anyways, I was worried and I found the nearest tire and service center that I could find on my route home.Luckily, Google Maps took us to Kansasland Tire in Fredonia, Kansas. According to Maps, we arrived arrived at 3:26 p.m. on 9 April 2024. The gentleman at the register was a heavyset man of average height who appeared to be middle-aged. He had appropriate customer service skills and was very patient as two parents unstrapped two kids from their car seats and let out their grandma. He took it for a drive and he told us he heard the buzzing, but strangely not on the way back. So, he said they needed to put it up on the lift and take a look under it.Less than 30 minutes later, another gentleman, slightly younger-looking, with light-colored hair and a short goatee, also of average height approached us and told us that they looked at everything. They said the break pads and rotors, along with the tires and everything around the tires to make sure there was nothing rubbing, and everything looked good. The only thing they could think of that it might be is the wind vibrating the ratchet straps that are holding my suitcase and skateboard to the top of the van.I asked him how much I owed them for the inspection. He told me there was no charge. I had to give him $20 for the effort. If I had more, I would have given more. If I ever become a billionaire, I'm starting my own franchise with those two gentlemen as the first owners. These guys could have charged us for all new break pads and rotors on all four wheels, and I would've never known there was an issue. Instead, they exhibited incredible integrity and a sense of community in helping out a family on a road trip.When we started driving again, it became apparent that it was indeed the ratchet straps... Gentlemen and scholars these two.I really hope you put the names of these two individuals in a reply to my comment. I came in roughly between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m. on the 9th of April 2024. These men deserve their honorable mention. OUTSTANDING SERVICE.

I was passing through, when alll of a sudden Boom! I blow a tire on my camping trailer. Fredonia Kansas is a tiny town with few amenities. After asking around, I walked in and asked if they could help. They ordered the tire I needed, which came the next day, and fixed me right up. I was staying for a few days anyway, so no big deal. The staff was very nice and accommodating, and the price was perfect, for what I needed. I would definitely buy from them again. Thank You for helping me out!Service: Tires

Absolutely phenomenal service!Had a flat, I put a spare on and drove a few miles to Kansasland and they fixed everything for 22 bucks (replaced stem valve super quickly).Friendly and chipper staff

Had a tire blow out. Luckily we were just outside of town. They didn t have a tire replacement, because it is a run flat tire. They took us home because it would be an overnight wait. I've been getting oil changes here for the past 6 years on multiple vehicles. They always have a time open for me when I need it and do great work. I've also had tire service and tow service from them and they do a great job. Won't go anywhere else in Fredonia. We were traveling through Fredonia Kansas for work and had a blow out at 5pm. Called and Steve stayed open for an hour extra to get us 3 new tires on the trailer. Excellent customer service. Thanks!

This business totally saved my butt during day 1 of 6 weeks traveling the US still looking for my forever home. They were fast, courteous, happy, efficient, and cared for my safety by checking my other 3 tires after travelling for 1.5 hours on flint rock roads. Affordable with excellent customer service. Enough said!

Hello, I just left of your stores in Kansas to get Alternator checked out cause my battery light came on. They say it was good and changed my battery terminal for $130. 40 miles later light is back and the a.c. don't work now.

My husband and I were stranded at Pete's Gas Station in Fredonia, KS with our 3 daughters. Our minivan broke down and we needed help getting it on to a trailer to haul it back to our home mechanic in Branson, MO. They arrived quickly and took care of everything. They were incredibly kind and generous. We were desperate and had called so many companies that could not help us, we were feeling helpless when they came and saved the day! Thank you for everything!!!

My family was heading to Shell Knob for the 4 th of July and our boat trailer blew a tire. On 400 and we changed tire but luggs keep loosing up. We pulled into Ks tire and they replaced hub and took 2 1/2 hours they stayed 2 hours after closing to take care of us so we could get back on the road. Many thanks great people.

Mechanic for the roadside service arrived within 35 minutes of me calling my dispatcher and he wasn't even there 25 minutes before he had changed my tire and got me back on the road! Technition was clean, well organized and very courtious! As a professional driver that makes his living driving that means a lot. Less money lost and more money made! Thanks BIG time KANSASLAND!

I can count on one hand the number of reviews I've written online, but I can NOT stress enough how strongly I urge you to avoid this "shop". I had an engine swap done and less than a week after getting it out here is a list of the problems so far discovered-radiator hose not secured properly so it rubbed against the pulley and wore a hole through it.. effectively dumping all antifreeze-neither exhaust manifold was correctly attached ( one side had two bolts and other had one..there was also a socket left on one of the bolts)-multiple brackets were simply not reattached to secure hoses, lines, and cables.+These exhaust leaks can cause major damage to your engine as it throws off fuel-oxygen ratios and can seriously effect the combustion of fuel-the engine is misfiring and when I asked them about it they said it was simply because of the "slight exhaust leak at the manifold mounts" .....yes, they knew about the leaks and decided to just leave them and direct me to a muffler shop who could "fix it for around a hundred bucks"Edit: after inspection from the Andover shop they discovered 2 coils were wired backwards, and fixed the misfire- This is all after a whole month in the shopON THAT NOTE kansasland's corporate office has been very helpful and agreed to pay for a tow to a different shop and have a more experienced, senior mechanic go through everything. He listened to the motor for less than one minute and said "wow this thing has at least one misfire". Corporate has agreed to cover all costs related to the workmanship of the other shop but I have already had to miss one day of work, and will most likely have to miss another.DO NOT use this shop.. they are incompetent, seemingly totally ignorant to basic mechanics, and have zero quality controlEDIT: I would like to note that rest of the kansasland corporation, has had nothing but exceptional customer service in resolving this situation. They towed my truck to their Andover location free of charge, and made fixing my truck correctly while reviewing the work of the fredonia location a top priority. The communication between myself, the store manager, regional manager and several other facets of the company was outstanding. Initially I thought I would never use ksland again but given the quick response and prioritization of fixing my truck I would highly recommend any other location and will be returning to them in the future.

I was broken down in the field with a rear flat on my tractor. They came out on Saturday morning and had me back in business in about an hour! Great folks and awesome service.

Good pricing for services rendered. New tire sensor failed to sync within first 20 miles. The gusy made it right with a smile and apology.
