Worn down hotel that has not been maintained. First room had stains in the tub, on the shower curtain, tub didn't drain. Dirty bathroom. Second room, tub didn't hold water, staining on carpet. Also stained floor in elevator, worn carpet, and litte scrapes, nicks, broken edges in corridors. Room did not receive house keeping service, not that it was a huge deal but just another situation where expectations were not met. Desk staff were the exception, the service was exceptional.Rooms: Underwhelming and in need of remodel

Visited for business. The room was way more than expected. Spacious and clean. High pressure shower was great. Compared to the other options to stay, this was by far the nicest and best priced. PLUS you get a really good breakfast buffet!Rooms: Clean, put together, and complimentary dove soap, body wash, and shampoo.Food & drinks: Maria's Mexican had great food. Huge portions.

The room was very clean, the staff were extremely friendly and efficient. Breakfast was great, and had good variety (shout out to Teresa, the hostess!). I would definitely stay here again. Yes, the hallways needed vacuuming and the elevator is still out of service, but none of that affected the quality of my stay. More Americans should do stairs anyway.Rooms: Clean, roomy, and comfortable

We stayed at the Holiday Inn in ElDorado, KS Feb 6, 2024. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The front desk clerk gave recommendations for restaurants in town. Breakfast was impressive! Biscuits and gravy, omelettes, sausages, scrambled eggs, pancakes etc.The shower could use some repair, but it worked well enough. We would definitely stay here again.

What a disappointment. I'm an IHG loyalty customer and have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express locations around the country. This one should be removed from the group. Pool was closed, elevator wasn't working, toilet in our room wouldn't flush (had to move to another room). The rooms/bathrooms were not particularly clean or fresh. One of the queen beds in our room had a mattress that should have been replaced years ago. On the plus side, the desk clerk tried her best and breakfast was really good. I needed to return to El Dorado the following week to complete business--I called ahead to ask about the swimming pool and the elevator and was informed that neither was operating and, interestingly, was given different reasons for each this time. Needless to say, I didn't book another stay there. I would describe this location as definitely "down-at-heel" and needing maintenance in all areas. You have to wonder where their profits are being spent--definitely not being put back into the hotel.Safety: The elevator has been out of order for an extended period of time. Months, at least, but I finally stopped scrolling back through the reviews. It could be years. When I complained about it not being ADA-compliant and not being informed when I made my booking, I was told that they were compliant since they had first floor rooms. Yes, they do, but when I stayed there, none of those rooms were available. And many other reviewers had the same experience.Noteworthy details: I choose Holiday Inn Express because I can be confident of the quality of the hotel as part of the IHG group. I now see that I can't rely on the Holiday Inn Express name to mean that it's a quality hotel.

We were in town for a conference Thursday 19th we stayed at this hotel. The elevator was out of order and we were offered help with taking luggage upstairs. It was an inconvenience but denied needing help to take luggage up stairs. This morning on waking and preparing for the day there was no cold water for shower. So my shower was very short!

Not worth the price. We stayed 2 nights. Elevator was down, pool was down, fitness room was down, ice machine didn t work, toilet in our room would continuously run unless you jiggled the handle multiple times. My brother also stayed but was offered a discounted rate when I asked I was told I would be reimbursed and only charged the same as him. 2 phone calls and 1 week later still nothing. I m a Holiday Inn member and have always tried to stay at Holiday Inn hotels but unfortunately that will be changing.

Just writing to give Manny at the front desk a big shout out. We had just come from a different hotel that tried questioning my 100% disabled combat vet husbands need for a service animal- asking about his medical issues and what specific tasks the animal performs, etc. Not only a hippa violation but discriminatory. So we went in to Holiday inn instead and met Manny at the front desk. Though the hotel had no rooms that night, he went out of his way to try and find us a room at another hotel, and he had a wonderful positive demeanor and candor that was so appreciated after the experience we just had at the other hotel. You're great, Manny! We appreciate you, God bless you!

The staff and breakfast saved the rating. We didn't get the room we reserved online, but the evening desk clerk worked hard to make accommodations for us including getting us a rollaway bed. She did her best to make things right. Then we found it the pool was closed. Our youngest was extremely disappointed. Fortunately a great breakfast with bacon and a ton of hot and cold options satisfied the kids. The breakfast attendant kept things stocked and clean.

The staff here are the most friendly accommodating hotel we have ever been too. We are with a group of over 125 antique motorcycle riders. The staff is just wonderful.Rooms: Nice clean roomFood & drinks: Always a good hot breakfast

This used to be a good place to stay. Have stayed here on and off for several years. It is now unclean. Tile all over the building just looks nasty, the elevator is filthy. Room had a water leak. Staff is pleasant, but it is unkept now. Room had black stuff in the corners of the bathroom presumably mold. Won t be staying here anymore.

Staff was incredibly accommodating in allowing me to check in very early, because I wasn't feeling too well and didn't want to drive anymore. I was very grateful for this!Get to the room, it wasn't completely cleaned. Front desk clerk made it seem as though this was the only room available, so I did not mention it during my stay. The bathroom had not been cleaned. Last person's used bar soap still in the dish, dirty towel on the counter, hair everywhere, etc. The bathroom could definitely use some touch up remodeling, as well. Crumbs and food splatter in front of the microwave. Used coffee items/trash by the coffee maker. The sheet on one bed was all jumbled up under the comforter and there were alot of hairs on the sheets, so I don't think the linens were replaced. Neither locks worked on the door, which was slightly concerning. The carpet throughout the room was sticky too. The volume and mute buttons didn't work for the TV and there were no buttons on the TV.Pool was out of order.Went down to the lobby about 3 hours after check-in and the housekeepers were having a pizza party in the guest dining area. The entire housekeeping staff was at the front desk when we checked in too. Seems like they should spend a little more time actually cleaning the rooms and a little less time hanging out downstairs.Edit: Mentioned all of my concerns upon check out, the lady literally answered her cellphone while I was speaking and said it was because it was her boss. I was offered nothing but an insincere apology. We stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in Wichita, Kansas last weekend and were sent to four different rooms before we got to a clean one. So, the room cleanliness seems to be a recurring issue in this area. I will probably not be using any of the IHG lodging in Kansas ever again. We checked in on 7/9/22 and stayed in room 222.

My gal and I stayed in room 103 on 5.1.22. The very helpful and polite staff is why this is getting four stars instead of three. The pool's been out of service for a month, the bed frames are squeaky and the outside lock on the side door didn't work which is very annoying. It also leads people to prop the door open which is a safety concern. Having worked in hospitality earlier in my life, it's usually not the on-site manager that's the problem. It's usually an owner who doesn't want to spend money on the basics. Everyone on the housekeeping staff was super friendly as well as the front desk people. Trinity got us checked in on Sunday night. It took about 3 hours from check-in time to when we could actually check into the room. Like every other business they are experiencing a staff shortage. We weren't the only people that were a little put out, but Trinity handled it very well and maintained her composure. The general manager gave us a break on the room rate to compensate for the trouble. We did appreciate that. I will say the hot breakfast was one of the better hotel breakfasts we have had!

I've never been disappointed with a Holiday Inn until now. The bed was comfy as always. However, we walked into the bathroom not cleaned. Hair in the shower and sink. Dirt all over the bathroom floor. Hardly any toilet paper and I had to ask for more. The room key doesn't work on the outside doors of the hotel, making us walk all around to the front. During the evening, the lady at the front desk wasn't visible so we waited paitently and then knocked on the front desk. She walks out just saying, "what". I found that rather rude but was friendly regardless and asked about snack priced. I'm hoping we just caught them during an "off weekend" but this visit was very disappointing

I made a reservation and showed up with a confirmation number only to be told they did not have a room for me and that the hotel was full. How can you have a confirmation #, but not have a room? I have never had this issue with any other hotel. Then the front desk person said I could drive another 1/2 hour and get a discount in Andover. Really... I just dove 10.5 hours to get here. Holiday Inn Express won't be getting my business again.

Staff and facility were top notch! Very welcoming after a long day on the road. Breakfast was cool too, still providing some choices. I miss those cinnamon rolls! SUPER comfortable and clean rooms! Don't forget to tip the housekeeping staff! They work hard and do an outstanding job. I have been very pleased with the 5 or 6 times I have stayed in the Holiday Inn Express & Suites chain. I have always been pleasantly surprised with the details and amenities included in the rooms. Did I mention the power room darkening shade in our junior suite? Did mention the epically comfortable bed? (It really was, just saying!) We had a great, restful night! Thank you to the management and staff for keeping the place pleasantly squared again. Will stay there again the next time we drive through. Many Thanks!

They get 5 stars not because they are a 5 star hotel, but because they are the best of the best in the 3 star hotel range.Very nice, clean rooms. Sheets so soft I Googled "holiday inn sheets" the next day.Accommodated me last minute and late at night. The front desk staff "Gabriel" was super nice and got me situated quickly. They had a really nice breakfast set up the next morning with hot foods: eggs, sausage etc, as well as cereal, fruit, and tons of beverage choices. This particular Holiday Inn is an example of why I almost always stay with this chain.Good job!

Although we came for a funeral of a loved one the people of this Holiday Inn made it so much better. They were absolutely the kindest, most caring staff I have ever dealt with. Everything and everyone there was top notch. Rooms were perfect, clean and quiet. The coffee and breakfast were great. We never had a better stay. Thanks to all of them.

I m here at this stay for WORK PURPOSES ONLY. The staff here is not FAIR I m not being treated EQALLY down to the room service. I come home from work expecting room service to had service my room properly satisfactory professionally accurately and clean as that is your job. This is terrible service only one side of my room was clean. My bed was not even correctly made up(lazy- careless) TRASHH EVERYWHERE from my roommate that was moved out of my room because of neglect to clean. And for room service to TREAT ME as if I m not clean or would leave trash everywhere. This is unacceptable. I have brought this to Mikes attention( manager). He said he is going to take up for his housekeeping . Instead of APOLOGIZING AND SHOWING EMPATHY. HE SHOWED NO CARE TO ME DUE TO AN ON-going situation. Sarah needs to be aware of how her staff handles customers and personalizes situations that doesn t envolve them bad for business this is poor service. I JUST CAME TO WORK.

Our bed was comfortable, which was outstanding! However, the noise level was not....sounded like a bowling alley above us most of the night! And the pool wasn't working, which I gather from the other reviews is a long-standing issue. The back doors were out of order! Which is a flagrant fire hazard!! Hope there's a better place in town since we have an athlete in college.

Holiday Inn Express, El Dorado, KS isn't the worst Holiday Inn Express I've been to, but it's far below the average. The beds were clean and comfortable, and even the pillows were nice. Beyond that, the hotel just felt neglected and dirty. The ice machine was broken and disassembled, the elevator carpet was worn thin, dirty and stained, and the shower drain was clogged (someone had even removed the drain cover in an effort to improve drainage). On the plus side: the parking lot was well lit and appeared safe, he AC worked well, the rooms were quiet, and the location was convenient to the interstate. This hotel needs an overhaul of the property, the management, and the maintenance staff. Or perhaps it should be re-branded as a low-cost weekly rental hotel.

The staff has always been amazing. I felt so sorry for them because the hotel had over booked for a wedding party Labor Day weekend. We also had The Butler Grizzles first home football game of the season. People were being rude to them and they were very pleasant and accommodating. My son has been @ Butler since Jan 2020 and every time I have visited him I have stayed at this hotel. Since it's the only nice hotel in El Dorado I have noticed over the past 18 months it is needing some structural TLC. The pool area, elevator and some of the rooms need improvements but nothing major. The decor of the rooms and lobby are nice. The beds have been comfortable and rooms very clean! The kitchen area and front desk are Great! I love the way breakfast is set up due to Covid precaution's. Again the staff have been very nice, kind, professional and helpful in a few of my dramatic times while visiting El Dorado (at my own fault, not theirs). Keep doing what you do :) God bless and always be kind!!

Pool was put of service because "the repairman doesn't want to fix it." The microwave had a plate that was too small and almost started a fire. The desk chair was broken. The carpet was sticky. The elevator was really dirty. The carts for luggage were covered in smashed food. There was a group of guys grilling and drinking beers on the sidewalk outside the back entrance below our room and they were loud all night. The guy at the front said he received many complaints and spike with them and if he receives more complaints then he will "have another talk with them." Card keys repeatedly stopped working. I expected a little more, I guess. Overheard the manager, over breakfast, tell someone on the phone "Yeah, I'm in a meeting. Could you have someone send me the paperwork that we ordered that part so when the fire department comes out again we can show them proof it's coming?" He was not in a meeting. And the place is falling apart. The back door is covered in duct tape and opens without a key card. Slams open and shut when there's a strong wind... which is daily.

Nothing worked. Shower didn t drain. Toilet ran forever. Elevator busted. Ice machine out. Tv remote dead. One star for accepting service animals and another for reasonable prices.

Had a short overnight stay here recently. Easy off and on from the turnpike. We stayed in a king suite which was was spacious and clean. The water pressure in the shower was AMAZING! I really appreciated that there was hot breakfast available. All of the staff was professional and courteous, especially Stephanie at the front desk.
