Never have I ever felt as compelled to leave a bad review on a business s google page until my experience with John s Body Shop of Dodge City. To make a long story short, after much frustration surrounding the fact that they held my vehicle for nearly double the estimated amount of time they d originally stated, miscommunication with my insurance company, and unexpected surcharges, the paintwork done on my vehicle by John s failed within 6 months of completion, [photo included below], and I was told that since they go through a third party company that primes and preps the surface for them, they wouldn t fix it on their dime. These people are master con-artists, they boast about a warranty that has so many stipulations as to not make them responsible for a single thing that may go wrong with their work. At best, I was offered to cover the cost of labor and they d cover the cost of their cheap, faulty, third party parts. After an entire year of being given the run-around, missed calls, and backpedaling, I ve decided that these people don t deserve any more money, time, or stress they ve caused me. Absolutely do NOT do business with these people under any circumstance.

My car got side swipped and ended up looking bad! John s Body Shop in Dodge, took it from bad to looking new again! I just picked up my car today (6-19-23), and it looks awesome!! They did excellent work on our crown Vic quite some time ago and they came right back and straighten up some things for us we highly appreciate them after I left them yesterday I was in good spirits till I got a phone call and found out that my better half car got totaled out i didn't get a chance to get it over to John's body shop but I don't think they can fix this one but the bread wagons going over there to get some drivers door work done on it and it's good price so I'll look in to see them before next Wednesday

These guys are so helpful! We were stuck at a gas station with a dead battery on our car, he boosted us and had us follow him to the body shop. We had a car full of people. They offered us to wait in their waiting room in the ac so we wouldn t be out in the heat waiting for help. Definitely have not lost all faith in humanity! Definitely 5 starts for these awesome guys!

You want an honest shop, this is the place m. So honest when I asked about why the insurance company was paying less than the estimated cost, they flat out said the insurance company said to use after-market parts, not oem parts. Great service.

They were rude and took over a week to even give an estimate even though they received signed authorization the very next day. Then they refused to let us come and retrieve our belongings without extorting $650 from us for "holding" the car. They never told us there was a per day holding charge, and the reason it was there so long was BECAUSE of them. Never go here.

I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. My vehicle was towed by this company ($150 for a two block tow job) then I was charged another $25 for storage for a day because I couldn't figure out where my vehicle had been towed. The day I went to pick it up they pushed it by the front axle with a FORKLIFT!!! I heard popping noises and asked them to put it down. I talked to the owner and manager who refused to admit any wrong doing. I called the police deparment to make a report and me and the officer were told this is "how we move vehicles". Take my advice and steer clear of John's Body Shop.

They were so nice! If they missed a call, they returned it and kept me up to date on everything. I would highly recommend them.
