We had an exhaust emergency an hour before closing on a holiday weekend. Pulled in and asked for help. An hour later we were quietly on the road again.We called and got a Spanish speaking mechanic, we don't speak Spanish but went there anyway... Chepe was awesome and spoke English just fine.

DO NOT USE CHEPES. After doing some wiring and without talking with us replaces the blinker switch in son s car. He warrantied work for 3 months. The very next day the car is having issues starting and temperature gauge wouldn t work. Took it to him and he said no issues had anything to do with his work. How can you say that without taking a look at it first. He then puts a used starter on along with a thermostat. The car is still having issues. Terrible mechanic and charged us full price for all work. We now have to buy a new car because he has it messed up so bad. Terrible customer service!

We were traveling through KS when we ran into car problems. Although Chepes was the only repair place willing to take a look at our vehicle (the reason for 2 stars, otherwise it would be one star) they completely ripped us off. They only cleared a code and said that it was just something weird that tripped the code on the fan clutch and we could make it to Denver with no problem but to replace the water pump when we got there. They charged us $195. We got less than 5 miles down the road and the car did the same thing. Upon getting to where we needed to be, an honest mechanic found that the water pump was bad and said that no clearing of any code would have fixed the problem and we were lucky to not have it seize up. I do not recommend taking your vehicle here. We were charged nearly $200 for what was basically a diagnostic fee and code clear that did absolutely nothing.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I went to get my exhaust fixed they told me to bring it down onc I was there they started speaking in Spanish as if I didn't understand them. Talking about we are gonna make this white girl wait. They them told me to go outside and wait. I set.outside for almost an hour and they never came out to estimate my repairs. There wasn't anyone in the garage they wasn't busy. They were very rude an rascist. This place is ridiculous I would not suggest going to anyone to take there unless you are Mexican.. very unsatisfied.

Broke down 2 blocks from Chepe's. They towed my car, replaced my starter and had me on my way in less than 2 hours. Gave a 3 month warranty on the starter. Price was competitive with others in the area. Very happy!

My radiator was leaking. I'm from Ohio and I stopped here at 8 AM on my way home. They had a new radiator installed in 3 hrs. A bit pricey but comes with warranty as long as I own the vehicle. 571.00 total. Owner was very polite and courteous.

Let me share a little background with you, I'm local and had worked as a manager for a parts store in dodge city so I got to know all the shops and their owners pretty well. This place is a bit of a mixed bag, the owner is, from what I've gathered, a good guy and will take care of you, however he's not the only guy there. The other employees seem to give you about a 50/50 chance of doing it right if they even do it at all. For example, several years ago I took a car there for a custom exhaust job, the price was incredible and the work was clean and proper, overall a great job at a great price. Recently however I took a car there to get ball joints, control arms and an alignment (didn't go to an alignment shop due to time constraints, lesson learned lol) and when I got it back they didn't reinstall the rubber inner fenders by the frame, didn't install the grease zerk on the control arms and didn't grease anything that was installed, oh and did I mention that they didn't even touch the alignment even though they charged me for it? Now, bear in mind, every interaction I've had with the owner has been positive but there's no guarantee with the rest of the guys there as to the quality of work you're going to get.

On a Saturday at 5 AM we broke down outside of Dodge City. We had the truck delivered to them a little after 8, and we were back on the road by 10. Quality service and friendly people.

Passing through and our radiator went out. He had us up and running in less than an hour AND gave us his personal vehicle to use while he worked on our truck, so we could go somewhere air conditioned to wait.

I didn't have my vehicle repaired I wind up finding out that my battery was just completely dead enough that it would not run any of my components so I didn't even have to take it to the shop I wind up fixing it myself

Awful! I just needed my ignition switch fixed, they completely overcharged and my car looked broken! They also ruined the alignment of the steering wheel! DO NOT GO HERE!

MIsdiagnosed a car. Charged $190 for a new car battery and then gave no receipt.It was a bad alternator.Shame on them.
