From the rude receptionist, to the very sad room, this was a very poor stay. The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location right off of HW 81. The room had cracked plaster, the tub had holes in it, the furniture was in need of repair, the lamp was rusty, and thank goodness there was no carpet in the room as I can only imagine how dirty that would have been. Oh, the beds were comfortable and clean. Not worth the cost of $87 at all.

This location should be an embarrassment to the Wyndham family group of hotels. What they label as a suite is simply a larger room with cracked walls and an afterthought cabinet with sink mounted on a random wall of the room. The furniture is old and in very poor condition. The staff seem bothered to even help with simple requests like checking in and having to go back for a new operational key card everyday of a four day stay.Rooms: Poor quality and condition of the rooms. From the old wore out and partially broken furniture to the cracks down the walls and in the corners, with partial repairs for the paint and drywall.

What a shame. This used to be a decent hotel. All pictures still apply for room 205 from Baley's Post 9 months ago. No repairs have been even attempted. They also completely ran out of coffee and the milk was frozen so the solution was to put it back in the refrigerator. Since they have put vinyl on the floors they must assume that they no longer need to clean them as well.

I would stay here again. However, the ruins were most. We could hear the TV show in the neighbors room and all the street noise. We had to have a new sheet brought up because the one we had was stained, like it was never cleaned properly. They accept pets so they have nice looking linoleum floors which I think is a good idea. The ruins were generally nice and clean, no odd smells or anything like that. Comfortable enough bed. Breakfast was a waffle machine, yogurt, bagels, cereal, etc.

There are only 3 places to stay going through this town. Holiday Inn was booked. The room was non-smoking but smelt like smoke. It was not very clean. There was hair in the tub, mold on the wall, and the ceiling was peeling off in the bathroom. On top of that, we paid $135 for this. We only stayed because there was nothing else available, and we needed to be safe driving, and we were tired. It is right off of the highway, and the staff were pleasant.Rooms: The room was big (2 full beds with a sleeper sofa). It was not cleaned well, dirty, and smelled like smoke. The sleeper sofa was horrible. Would not stay here again.

Check-in was easy enough.nice lady at the desk. Given my key and went to room and it was a standard room bed tv desk and chair. A dorm room minus the comfortable furniture. Rv worked the gentlemen working nights was very polite. Later that evening family came over and discovered that one of the closets I had was storage for sheets and towels all new still in packaging. I can honestly say that's a first for me having the hotels linen storage in my room. I went to the front desk and asked if those linens were for guest to take home and she said no its storage I said oh I didn't realize I was sleeping in the storage room. She wasn't amused we moved our conversation along and it was all ok just very strange to have that in a guest room.Rooms: Need comfortable chair at least to sit in. A room not used as storage by the hotel also would be good.

The staff was all very friendly. But Tv was so very small! Microwave wouldn't work in the room. Beds were so very hard. No elevator and I'm an amputee so that kinda really sucked but rooms go fast here. Husband works in Belleville so we also had to drive further. But the rooms rented out so fast in Belleville it was the only room we could find that day. So we we're grateful we had a roof over our heads but hopefully won't have to come back.

If I didn t have to stay here I WOULD NOT have. However, I had NO choice because the Holiday Inn Express & Suites was TOTALLY booked. This building is seriously in a state of disrepair. The paint was literally peeling off the walls, and there was a MASSIVE splotch of white paint smeared ALL OVER the bathroom door. There must have been a whole on the door, in which they DID NOT do a good job of covering up.The personnel at the front desk were EXTREMELY unfriendly and it took at least 15-20 minutes to get checked in because the system was apparently NOT working correctly. The breakfast food was left out it looked like literally for days, and TOTALLY grossed out my traveling companion. The hallway, along with the room had an AWFUL odor that smelled like smoke. We ended up having to burn a candle, just to make it smell better. If I could give this DUMP zero stars, I ABSOLUTELY WOULD! I will NEVER EVER stay here again if I DO NOT have to. Please do yourself a favor, and DO NOT stay here!

Room was rough. Cracks in the walls. Flies everywhere. Woke up mid night to cigarette smoke yet it was supposed to be 100% smoke free. Springs in the mattress were broke so a huge dip in mattress.Rooms: Room was rough. Cracks in the walls. Flies everywhere. First. let me say that the front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The motel is located within walking distance of restaurants and some local attractions. We asked for a room upstairs and were given a room that was apparently a manager's living quarters at one time. The room was huge, but mostly empty. The couch was unsittable (it was obvious as soon as we saw it. It rocked and was full of animal hair.). The room was dirty. I carry Clorox wipes with me and I used them! There was food in the fridge from a previous occupant. The pillows were small square ones so we requested standard size pillows and were given some. The smoke detector was missing. The breakfast food looked aged to say the least so we ate elsewhere. We were only there one night on our way to Mount Rushmore.

Booked through Priceline for my brother in law at what I thought was a decent rate. However, I feel like I am the one that should have charged them to stay there. Terrible. Filthy. Locks don t work and had to change rooms. Dead bugs everywhere. Pet hair all over the bathroom. Carpet was filthy. I am not overly picky but this was completely unacceptable.

The desk clerk is an elderly gentleman who barely aware of the function of his laptop. Took him 45 min to check in the guest, kept forgetting the steps in the registration, in the end forgot to give the key and over charged me. The sum on the receipt and my card charge didn't match. He wasted about 5 papers before printing out the copy of the receipt. Was making silly jokes and overall was awkward. His manager Rachel tried to help him over the phone(facebook?)?but wasn't customer friendly in general. Overall impression is PAY, TOLERATE OUR ATTITUDE AND GET OUT. This kind of work in unacceptable. It was very disturbing

They are in the midst of remodeling. Our room was very comfortable.Breakfast was satisfying. Very friendly staff.Only complaint: Our refrigerator made a distinct noise and I couldn't get my hand in the back to unplug.

Our first room, was not very clean, the sheets had obvious stains on them at the top... or maybe because it was a double they didn't change one of the beds that wasn't slept in, from the last customers. The sink would not drain... washed to change rooms, which they did for us. We were at the other end of the 2nd floor hall, which was cleaner, but the highway noise, very small double bed, made for an uncomfortable night. Won't stay again.

This was the cleanest , hotel room I have had on my travels along with great room rates very happily surprised .and the bed was impressively comfortable like home. I had to double check it out I was very very happy ..Rooms: Very clean , comfortable like home. But they could use better quality towels . Other than that I was very happy.

Oh my the employees were nice but that's all the good I can say. We asked for a non-smoking room. Although the sign said non-smoking it wreaked of smoke. The beds were like something from the Flintstones hard and very uncomfortable. In general the hotel had an odor in it. It might help if they remove the old carpet and put new down at least in the hall and lobbies.I'd have to say it was my worst hotel experience in a very long time.

Staff is courteous. However, it s noisy. You can hear someone walking above you. You can hear the room next door. Clean but not superb. Very dated. AC is ok but not great. Right next to the main road and traffic is loud. Sink drained slow. Shower head all over the place. Maybe 3 stars is more accurate but I don t I think so.

The room floor was not cleaned for who knows how long. The toilet would start and stop running all night long. The AC was very loud and it smells like the filter hasn't been changed or cleaned for 20 years, but I'm sure there are people that like the smell of an old gym locker room. I wouldn't pay $8 to stay in this Super 8 Motel.
