Like many others have already so well stated, this company ROCKS. This mom was nervous and concerned about her college age student stranded on the highway late on a holiday night. Steve, answered my many questions professionally as well as went out and found our stranded student and attempted to get him back on the road. Damage was gonna require parts so the car would have to stay. However our student had his new job to get to, so Steve went well beyond the standard expectations and offered to allow him to stay in the vehicle in a safe place till a ride could travel about 3 hours to reach our student. I was almost 6 hours away and found Black Dog Tow a lot of comfort by getting the car off the highway. He seems very caring and knows his stuff. IF you are stranded or need help with your vehicle....THIS company is the one to call. THANK you for all you did. More towing companies need to learn from you about how to really care and try to help customers...not just be motivated by $$'s... Keep on doing this awesome work....

Had a blowout on my 35 RV while on I70. Black Dog was able to swap the tire out for the spare and get me back on the road quickly.Service: Tire changeService: Tire change

I broke down in Wilson and Black Dog is the AAA affiliate in the area. Steve called me within minutes after getting off the phone with AAA to give me an approximate time and make sure I was safe. Clifford brought me an hour and a half home. He was friendly and personable and I was completely comfortable riding with him. While I hope not to need their services in the near future, I would use Black Dog again in a heartbeat.

We were coming from Colorado and our car lost its wheel and we were stranded at mile marker 178 on eastbound I70 and we called AAA and no one would be there for over 2 hours so luckily a high way patrol man came and called Black Dog and we finally got a tow after being stranded for almost 2 hours in the Kansas heat! Clifford was the guy who was nice enough to drive us while towing our car all the way to Salina which was over an hour away. If it wasn t for him and his boss Steve Hamlin we would still be stuck out there. Thank you guys again.Highly recommend! Very nice and professional and timely.Service: Car towing

Cannot say enough good things about Black Dog Tow and Tire Recovery. We got a screw in our tire right outside bunker hill at 10:30pm less than halfway on a 16-hour road trip. We called and got an immediate answer from Steve, including help finding a motel to stay the night until he was able to help. He helped us with a tire that wouldn t come off due to poor installation, got us replacement pieces and patched our tire in less than an hour.This was the most helpful car service I have ever experienced. Highly Recommend!

We were camping at Wilson Lake, and our son s car wouldn t start. When he popped the hood, a lake pack rat had chewed through wires. We called Black Dog Tow, Tire and Recovery out of Bunker Hill. Steve is one of the best people we could have met! Fair, honest business man!! Saved us lots of money. He has a full service truck. He came to our camp spot, and FIXED the car, and charged a VERY fair price. If we would have used any other company, all we would have gotten was an expensive tow, and our son would still have had to get the car fixed. We recommend Black Dog Tow, Tire and Recovery. Young, local, fair business man!! Give Steve a call!

I cannot thank Steve at Black Dog enough for his kind-hearted, understanding, and prompt service. In the middle of the night, he came to pull my car out of the mud way off the beaten path, and far away from where he lives. On top of all that, my insurance company had coded my issue incorrectly and would ve caused issues. Rather than leaving me stranded, he called me and explained the issue, allowing us to work out a solution and get me the help I needed. Steve came out and worked with me for over an hour and made sure that I got to safe, dry roads. When he told me what it was all going to cost, I didn t believe him at first because it was significantly cheaper than I had expected, and 1/4 of what another company had said they would charge me just to send a truck, all with no guarantee that they would actually be able to help me. Truly, I d recommend Black Dog to anybody in need of a tow or otherwise stuck on the side of the road. Thank you, Steve from Black Dog!

My husband and I's car broke down on a busy interstate and Tim from Black Dog Tow was there in about 30 minutes. He was safe and kind. He took us to a mechanic close by and also to a nearby hotel where we could stay while our car is repaired. He was caring, patient, and reasonable. I would recommend Black Dog Tow to anyone in the area.

Steve and his crew helped us out when we were stranded away from home on our way across country, and they were the most awesome people. We broke down in the middle of the night and had to sleep on the side of 70, we called Steve first thing in the morning, and he found us a tire, had someone drive out to get it, found us a spare, put it on for us so that we could go into town to eat and use the restroom. They got us back on the road ASAP so that we could stick as close to our schedule as possible, it really meant a lot to us. Can't thank them enough!!

Amazing service! Wouldn't have been able to get a tire without Steve's help. No one in Russell had our tire and new was too expensive so he went above and beyond to help us find a used tire and get it installed. We wouldn't have been able to get back on the road without his help. Thank you so much for your outstanding service!!

They went out of their way to get me back on the road. I had a blow out on my boat trailer and my size was not available at 8:00 at night. The owner of Black Dog took the tire off of his personal boat trailer and mounted it on mine to get me going. I'd like to thank you and give you the best rating possible. Sincerely, Glenn McIntire.

Our Ranger Rover quit in Russell Kansas, really quit - no electrical power whatsoever. We'd talked to a repair shop 30 miles up already but hoped to get there under our own power. We did not. Our AAA membership provides towing, we called them, Black Dog Towing was dispatched. They arrived quickly, towed us safely and even made room in the cab for our pup. Breakdowns on road trips stink but Black Dog Towing and Mike's Automotive Repair were blessings that gave us back our transportation with as little hassle as possible.Service: Car towing

WORST EVER! We are traveling back home to Colorado and had a blow out. Clifford Paramore was the man that came out to assist us. He had the worst attitude ever, which made our situation worse. It s sad that people are so cruel and mean when doing jobs that they signed up for. We canceled our road side assistance. We risked driving on a flat tire to a hotel rather than dealing with a grumpy man like Clifford. I just pray that no one else is unfortunate enough to have to deal with this man. EDIT: first of all, OWNER, he had an attitude before he even realized that there were more than 2 people in the car. You being the owner, you should at least try to see things from a customer s perspective instead of taking his side. Regardless of the situation; I don t care if he had to drive 3000 miles, he chose that job and his attitude was not necessary. Thank you for your unprofessional response.

Out on the dirt roads in pouring rain all day checking job sites and slid in the ditch. Called Black Dog for a tow. The driver showed up in a fairly timely manner. Got out in the rain yanking his winch cable and upset. Finally got us pulled out and turned around. Paid the driver, shook his hand and told him thank you and have a good day. About 20 minutes later I got a call from Steve showing his butt and yelling because his driver had gotten stuck after I left. Asked him what do you expect me to do about it youre a tow company I called you because I was stuck. He went to shouting something I couldn't understand as it was pouring rain. Hung up before I could even reply. After dealing with his rudeness I wouldn't recommend his company to pull my child's wagon. I fail to comprehend how 20 minutes later he feels the need to call me being rude because his driver got stuck.

Steve saved us. My family and I were stranded on the highway with a flat. He came to our rescue. Can t thank him enough.$75 service charge is more than reasonable for the extra effort it took to help us in the middle of no where.Service: Tire change

Clifford went above and beyond of all our expectations of getting a tow. Super helpful, good stories and we could tell he just really cared about getting us the help we needed. He and black dog tow definitely came to our rescue!!

Correction. Steve quoted me $475.00 for a jump start next door, not $75.00! By his response, Steve thinks he is entitled to thisI He is indeed a greedy crook. I was right next door at the C station next to I-70. The battery on my cargo van went dead and all I needed was a jump. I even had the cables. It would have taken all of 5 minutes tops. Steve quoted me $75. Fortunately there were several ethical generous folks at the gas station, that offered to help. I was jumped and running in less than 5 minutes. Steve is greedy and unethical. What comes around go's around. Dont use this crook!

Steve is an absolute gentleman. Not only did he provide us with a tow at a reasonable rate he fixed the issue with our car and had us back on the road in the morning. The price was right and the service was amazing.

These guys went above and beyond. Great work. Fair price. Everywhere was going to take 3 days to fix my car. They got me towed, fixed up and back on the road in 3 hours.

Highly recommend. We got stuck off road in mud. Even in a 4x4 we couldn t get free. These guys came and got us free and at a reasonable price. Friendly and good service.

Amazing service, my mom was broke down over they weekend Steve Hamlin was able to order her a part and get her vehicle fixed up and running! My mom was very happy and great full for their service! Very nice and happy guy to help her! Thanks for all u guys do!

Very caring and helpful! Went out of their way to help me. Did not charge an arm and a leg. They actually saved me a lot of money and for me back on the road. They are beyond a tow company! They are true helpful and caring people.

Just gonna say dad n I broke down on interstate, within an hour black dog was there the owner n mech got dads truck fixed which was not easy but these guys went out of their way to help!! Good guys !!!

He is amazing. He drove 2 hours to come get me out of the mud, when no one else who was closer would. I would recommend over anyone else is the south west ks area.

Passing through town on my way to see my father we got a flat and we were broke down about 50 miles from any town in both directions they came through for us, it was 4 in the morning while there were flash flood warnings along with tornado warnings was a thunderstorm going on and they came through great company amazing people thank you so much for being there and getting us back on the road.
