I felt like when the manager is gone, they can not problem solve.I'm not going to make the young man, but if you can't figure it out, call someone to help instead of telling me to come back tomorrow. I went elsewhere. When I was in the department, I noticed some great deals on not my sized tires. I would check it out if you need a cheap tire.

if you need your care royally messed up for a cheap price of 20 bucks? Ask for a tire rotation! Walmart mechanics caused over a grand in damages and tried blaming on the dealership I bought it from over 2 years ago. Best part was the mechanic didn t even speak english so he couldn t tell me what was wrong so I was on my own. Took it too a Chevy dealership turns out Walmart put not one not two BUT THREE ENTIRELY DIFFERENT LUG NUTS FROM EACH OTHER. 3 DIFFERENT SIZES!!! I m lost for words I have no idea how that s even possible I can maybe understand one wrong nut. But 3 entirely different nuts?? come on do better employ better. thankfully walmart paid the bill (why i rated 2 stars) but painfully annoying lesson learnedcheaper is not always better.

Everything about my visit was fantastic. Go here for auto service. Every service there is so much cheaper than at my dealer.I called to get a price quote on a battery for my vehicle. The lady who helped me was knowledgeable and very nice. She quoted me a price of $120 for the battery I needed (installed) . Shockingly, the dealer wanted $250 for the same size battery.When I arrived the person that helped me was helpful and friendly. He had everything ready to start within 5 minutes. Thirty minutes later I had a new battery. The person who checked me out was also very friendly.

Little bit more spendy than I would've preferred because money and my car shouldn't be broken, but having taken care of the items that they needed to, the price was pretty good overall. Servicemen were friendly, helpful and informative, and got the job done quickly - they even rotated the wheels/tires as I would've asked, without me having to request (I forgot, but two tires were flattened on the passenger side, and they rotated the original two remaining tires to the front, and the two new tires to the back end of the car)!

Awful experience from the beginning.I called during Black Friday deals to get a set of 4 tires installed. The woman helping me was amazing & helped me get the tires set aside. I went into my appointment & dropped off my car. About 10 minutes later, i received a call that my tires were the incorrect size & that i d need to order correctly when I came to pickup then reschedule. I had no issue considering I wasn t aware of the correct size that I needed. HOWEVER. I come in & first of all, the workers are all over the place with understanding how to set up the appointment with the tires beingpurchased online. Secondly, a worker said they found the correct size of the tires & they were in the shop the entire time! My car was there from 11am-5pm with NO INSTALL. I was not given any discount & they could have tried to accommodate me. I rescheduled the appointment & paid for the tires to ensure I got the deal. I saved my reciept in my wallet but forgot that I put it there. I came for my rescheduled appointment & at first I couldn t find my reciept & didn t think it was a huge deal because the woman on the phone told me she saw the pre-pay the week before when I called. I ended up finding my reciept by the way & provided it. The man was confused on how to find my appointment that showed payment & asked who I talked to. I said I talked to you. & he was completely lost. He goes out to my car with my keys & is trying to unlock & open the INCORRECT CAR! My friend waiting for me tried to tell him but he laughed it off & climbed THROUGH MY PASSENGER SEAT. I was then told the total for my install was $120 additional. I paid & left. I realized that was high for being $17-$23 per tire. I called & was told there was an additional warrenty at $14 per tire I WAS NOT ASKED IF I WANTED AND DID NOT WANT. I went in to pickup the car & explained to the same man as before, that the lady I spoke with made a note that I was over charged for the install because of the warrenty I didn t want. He laughed the whole time saying she made a note then did she. & laughed that I didn t want something he scammed me into having. Hopefully my tires don t fall off since they re so awful. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

This place tried to sell me extras I did not want to bump up sales numbers at the end of the month. The guy running the desk called me liar and said they never sold me the tire they sold me before. Rude and thieving practices.

Wal Mart, home of low prices (until we pull up the sign with the roll back price on it after I pointed out the sign but "oh we are going to honor it since we didn't take it down") then I come back two hours later to pick up the vehicle and all is forgotten.Actually I don't think the guy running the register (who was also the guy who took down the sale/special sign) knew how to make the receipt reflect the sales offer. If you are going to post an offer train your staff how to honor it or just don't do it in the first place.

Don't waste your time, called ahead to get two trailer tires mounted and balanced. I dropped them off and went about my day. 5 hours later still no call... Went back in to check they hadn't even got the tires off the rims!!! Then they told me they would get right on it, 15 minutes later the tech said it wouldn't be until tomorrow. This seemed odd so I asked what was the problem. They informed me that no one there could set the bead on the tire and that the manager was the only person who would be able to do it and he would be in tomorrow morning. I believe this is unacceptable for any place that does tires. I went to the Firestone down by the super Target. Got me right in, thankfully they had a pair of tires and took under 20 minutes to get both mounted, balanced and out the door. If you value your time I wouldn't recommend. I know I'll never be using this particular location ever again.

Would give zero stars if I could. Took my car for a tire repair. Received a text that my car was done so I went to pick it up and it wasn t done! I realized this only after I was charged $3 for who knows what? Then they couldn t figure out how to refund me.. what a complete joke. There is a Firestone down the street so don t even waste your time stopping here.Service: Tires

Great service and very fast. My tire was going flat really quick and needed to have it looked at. I originally stopped by Firestone and they were busy. They wouldn't even look at it. Anyways, I called WalMart, and, spoke to Anita, at tire center. She was absolutely awesome and very friendly. I was in and out of there less then 15 minutes, so kudos to everyone there. Will reccomend for great customer service AND great vehicle service too. Thanks

The installation and service was okey. But they went too far with me. I have an old car (2006 Honda Accord) and went to buy 2 front tires and install them. They told me the car had a wheel lock and they needed to find the key. A moment later they told me they couldn t find it (it was normally at the trunk) the guy working with the car with malicious compliance took they key and dropped it inside a dot 4 brake liquid I ve just bought the day before and they had the audacity to tell me they couldn t find the key. I don t know why they did this to me but it really hurt me. They are classist which is weird for someone working at Walmart. Should ve paid a bit more and go to Costco or discount tire.Service: Tires

Terrible experience. They replaced the wrong tires on my car and tried to charge me for something I specifically said I didn't want. My husband also received terrible service when he had his done. They told him initially he could have just two tires replaced, butw he got there, one of the guys tried to tell him he absolutely had to have all tires changed. He almost left before someone finally agreed with him.

I get my oil changed here regularly and have bought tires here as well. All reasonably priced and well done. Don't have to worry about taking a guy with me to make sure they're being honest, and they never try to sell me a bunch of services I don't need. Awesome!

Went to windsor Heights Walmart for oil change and tire rotation. There were 2 car ahead of me. It took 3.5 hours to complete the job.1 of the mechanics took 2 breaks while I was waiting.I won't be going there againServices: Tires, Oil changeServices: Tires, Oil change

Avoid and avoid if you need tire installation, tire balance. They messed up my tire balance two times. Literally they don't know what they doing. Go to 73rd Windsor height location. Don't waste time here!!Service: TiresService: Tires

The most incompetent people running the tire shop this side of the Mississippi. I ended up taking my new tires I ordered online and left without them installed. I wouldn t even trust them to put air in my tires as they would likely mess a simple task like this up. What can expect it s Walmart.

I had three Nails in two tires. They patched one and had to order a second one. All fine there. Next day I go back to get second tire put on and they had no room. Had to change it myself in the parking lot. The guy that put my spare on the day before broke the board cover to my spare tire which I figured out when I went to put on the new tire.Even after all that I would have been okay with it but no discount for having to change my own tire. I even asked and the guy said "nope". Not sorry sir... Or even I wish I could... Just nope.

Good front desk help. Very engaging service from the ladies. Expect a wait if you go in the afternoon without a appointment, but you can always browse the latest and greatest of Walmart goods while you wait like a hobo waits on a train. I will be back!

I will never go to Walmart tire again. I have had 2 tires replaced at this Walmart before. Now they tell me they put the wrong size tire on before and will not put a tire on my car. Why am I learning of this now. They should have told me this 2 tires ago. I was denided a new tire because of their negligence. Never again.

I had my tires rotated/balanced here. I think there must be a training issue or something here because they were way out of balance when they gave me the car back. I had to take it somewhere else and pay to get it done correctly despite getting free tire rotation and balance when I purchased the tires. I've had good luck at the south DSM Walmart tire center. Probably my last visit at this one.

Showed up at six to buy two new tires. Was told they didn't have time. They close at seven. Was lied to by attendant who told me all bays were full. (there was only one car) The attendant also told me it would take 45 minutes to change two tires. I can do all four in less time with a hand jack. Will not come here again and will tell everyone else to stay away.

We arrived at 7:30 am and was told that it would be 4 hours before they could do an oil change. There was one car in the bay and 2 guys working. Looks like they need to hire someone who knows what they are doing, starting with a manager. Too bad there wasn't a zero star option, because they did nothing.

They offer headlight replacements for $7.50 (plus cost of bulb) so since I needed an oil change I figured might as well get a headlight fixed. Turns out they couldn't figure out how to replace the bulb and the manager on duty wasn't able to as well. This speaks volumes to the potential incompetence you may run into at this location.

Fast friendly and affordable can you complain about that? It's Walmart who does go or like Walmart!?I know this from experience. I have used the Walmart mechanics secretive on multiple occasions and they always compare to my mechanic in price and actually do it in less time.

This is the best Walmart Tire & Lube Express in the Des Moines area. They are very attentive and do fantastic work. I have had several of my cars tires rotated, balanced, swapped and the end result is always a smooth ride. I was especially pleased with the attitude of MarJay and the manager, Chad. Kudos to them for always doing a great job.

Ordered 4 tires. They got 3. Had to cancel/refund and now they want to keep a "hold" on my money for 5 days even though I never actually purchased anything.

I don't know if these guys even know what they're doing.. took 5 hours to put tires on nobody was in front of me ...I could have done it myself if I had the equipment in under an hour ...gave 2 stars because it works and was done right just super slow

Horrible. Needed help at 10 AM with a flat and they said they re too booked up to help and made me drive down the road. The old lady managing the place is extremely rude.

I pull in to ask about an oil change. The tech stops me and says to go inside and schedule. I go, wait 20 minutes just to be told they are not taking appointments. I understand being busy but was the point in making a customer wait just to be told no.
