Great location and super friendly people. They have very skilled mechanics and can work on just about any car. They are very honest and stand behind their work with a roadside assistance guarantee too! The convenience store has all you need including booze. Bathrooms is always spotless.

Valley West Corner Store is the best place, hands down, to get auto work done! Their prices are the best in town. Trust me, I've been to many shops. They have top notch mechanics. They get the work done quickly and guarantee that it's done correctly. They are professional and let you know exactly what's going on with your car during and after repairs. Please, take your car to Valley West Corner Store to get your car fixed. I guarantee that it will be the best decision that you've made in a long time.

There is nothing more anxiety provoking than having your daughter driving home from college, towing a trailer and have her vehicle break down 1000 miles from home. She made it to west Des Moines after spending the night I found a shop that opened the earliest to look at her car (Firestone Complete Auto Care). She got there when it opened and after explaining her situation they told her that they couldn't look at it for several hours and she would have to take the trailer off herself or they wouldn't bring it into the shop for evaluation. Needless to say I looked back on-line and found Valley West had good reviews and sent her there. What a completely different experience!! I spoke with Shawn who told me to have her ask for him personally when she arrived. They ran multiple diagnostic tests and did multiple test drives to determine if she was safe to get back on the road to finish her trip home. As a father it is comforting to know that there are still wonderful people in this world who aren't looking to take advantage or minimize a young woman in need. Thanks again to the kind, caring and professional men at this shop!!

The team at VW did a great job replacing brakes on our 2015 GMC Acadia. Better price and value than the dealership with a lifetime warranty on parts. Plus they scheduled an appointment and provided us a courtesy ride.Highly recommend supporting this local family owned Business for your automotive maintenance.

I was extremely happy with the level of service provided at almost half the cost I was quoted at a nearby shop. Customer for life now, and the included Touch less car wash included with my service was excellent as well.

Apparently the employees here get paid to talk on the phone while there is multiple customers in line and the MALE cashier was too busy talking crab about the other employees who work there. Super unprofessional, it s time employers start cracking down on unproductive employees.

Absolutely amazing service. The owner Chad is very kind and warm, loves his customers and gets to know regulars by name. It's a very clean environment and other staff is friendly. I recommend valley west over any station !

Mechanics were nice and fast on the work. took my truck in for a motor noise other shop said i needed a motor they found out it was a pulley. Nice and knowledgeable people there would highly recommend this shop

Made a call to them around lunch time, for son s car needing tie rods, their experienced staff diagnosed my son s car issues and was corrected in a very timely manner. Thanks for the superb service. I needed a bit of work done on my vehicle. After finding this place, I was greeted with professional, hard working individuals. The work was completed in an extremely timely manner. The price was for the work completed was beyond reasonable! This place was a life saver! Thank you Valley West Corner Store for helping me out and getting me back out safely on the road! I've only patronized the gas and convenience store side of this shop. However, after reading the reviews from other people on here and the responses from the owner, I will definitely be sure to add the car repair and car wash services, as well. Holy cow, I love how honest and up front you guys are with those trying to put you in a bad light when it doesn't seem like you deserve this treatment. You obviously seem to have a lot of knowledge about cars. Thank you for going above and beyond for your customers. I live just right down the street from this shop. I'm needing to get an oil change and my check engine light diagnosed. I'm definitely going to be taking my vehicle to this shop.

Excellent customer service and high quality, reliable work! We were driving from Denver to Chicago and stopped with car issues (luckily near this garage). They prioritized our fix and got us safely back on the road within 2 hours. Thank you!

This is the worst repair shop I have ever experienced in my life, I gave them my 02 Audi A6 for Brake work, they charged me for initial inspection and gave me estimate that I agreed upon. I agreed for labor and gave the parts for fixing, that include brake caliper, master cylender, wheel hub, and front Axel. They returned my car, mentioned that brake problem was fixed. But when I drove, brakes were still not wroking normal. Then they told me to replace vaccum pump, I got little bit of knowledge, I removed and checked the vaccum pump was working fine. When I tlold the same to their mechanic, He got angry and started shouting madly on me. Then I told them it could be brake booster, And requested them to replace the booster for extra cost. They kept the car one day and returned me next day saying they do not have tool to replace brake booster. I gave my car to other local repir shop and they replaced the brake booster and the problem got solved. Wait, not completely, A week after the brake fluid light came on, I noticed that the brake fluid was leaking from the brake caliper they was replaced by this Valley west corner store. In short, they are the worst repair shop I have ever came across, They dont have knoledge to fix, and dont have manner to talk to customer and they are big Liers.Service: Brakes

I was so surprised with the excellent service I received from the repair shop! I'm a senior female and had problems with my vehicle I took it there because they are close to my home. Customer service is excellent and the truth that the mechanics give a person is unbelievable. They could have told me the problem was much more but they didn't. I will be telling everyone about this wonderful place. These guys don't jerk people over. Special shout out to Shawn and Matt! Thank you to everyone at VWCS!

I went to this location today for an oil change and to have my alignment checked after a bad experience at another mechanic where my alignment was off! Shawn Staley and his team went above and beyond and took care of me and my vehicle! Everything was completed in a timely manner, customer service was great, and my alignment is much better! They have definitely earned their selves a new life long customer. We will definitely be back with all of our vehicles. Thank you again Shawn and the rest of the team I appreciate you guys. The guys at Valley West Corner Store's auto service department were great. From the initial phone call, to when I dropped off my van, and again when I picked it up, they were friendly and cheerful; not gruff or rude like at some places I've been to. They were fast (repaired a tire for me in just a few minutes) and very reasonably priced. I definitely recommend this place.

Dear owner.I wonder if you have heard the story of the customer that waited 4 weeks for his car to be fixed. Very patient with your service center. Very little to no proactive feedback along the way from any one in the service center. I had to call to get updates. After a month, I called on a Friday to see what the status of the vehicle was and was told that the part just came in and the car had been pulled into the shop that day. And was assured that it would be worked on all Saturday and should be able to get it done by Sunday. I phoned on Sunday and was told that it would be another 1-2 hours. After 3 hours I phoned to get an update and was told almost done. Part of the work was to replace two tires that I brought to the shop...which was nice to be able to do that.Took the car and was on the road the following Monday and the wheel well cover came loose....while on the highway. I have pictures of the cover hanging out of the wheel well. I have pictures of no bolts in the holes on the cover. And the brakes squeak like crazy.The feedback from the shop is that they could rig the cover back in...I advised it's beat up and cut up....but still all that could be done would be to rig in back in. No responsibility taken for not putting it back in.And the brakes....well that comes from RUST on the brake pads from sitting for 4 weeks is what I was told. The four weeks it sat there waiting for the part to come in. I thought maybe they could have at least cleaned the brake pads. But no offer.In the end what i feel is that I thought I had found a place that I could work with. A place that was real. A place that I was willing to give a break because I thought they treated me fairly. What I mean by give a break to....my son's car needed an oil change....we went to pick the car up and started it and the oil light came on....the technician working on the car didn't add any oil. I did not cause any scene, I just told someone there that the oil light was still on...and asked if they could check.Two parties working together.Now...I feel like I Valley West Corner Store is not all that I thought it was.

Disappointing experience with the car wash. I came in the evening after work to get a car wash since my car had some bird droppings on it that had gotten mildly dry and crusted on. When I drive up to the car wash, everything seemed fine. I paid as normal (but didn t get a receipt) and then the machine simply said Please wait for car wash . I sat there for 5 mins and nothing. The machine was simply not on. I had to park my vehicle, go inside, and get an employee to come over and start my car wash after showing him the bank charge on my phone to prove that I had purchased a wash.My disappointment didn t end after the wash, however. When I got out to examine my car, most of the dried bird droppings were still left on the vehicle, despite the washing. I grabbed some towels from the pumps and tried to wipe off the droppings and they came off pretty easily. Nevertheless, I shouldn t have had to gotten out of my car and cleaned the spots off myself after paying $10 for a car wash.
