Honest Wrenches has exceeded my expectations from the moment I requested an appointment online and continuing through the diagnostic and repair process. Every single person I spoke to was courteous, friendly and spoke highly of their coworkers and the company. The detailed report provided after the diagnostics were done contained enough information to be thorough but not so much that a non-mechanic would be dumbfounded by it. Josh, the Service Manager, walked me through the report item by item so I would have a full scope of what my vehicles issues were and how they affected my cars operations and longevity. There was no "hard sell" for what to repair; in fact, quite the opposite! The report detailed deficiencies needing immediate attention and the items that we needed to keep an eye on. When I told Josh how much I had budgeted for repairs he was so helpful figuring out what priority items fit my wallet. The shuttle drivers were so friendly too! Oh and the communication with everyone was top notch. There really isn't anything less than positive I have to say about Honest Wrenches. They have a lifetime customer with me and I will encourage everyone I know with car repair needs to check them out. They should change the business name to Honest, Courteous, Transparent, Communicative, Friendly and Fair Priced Wrenches...but that won't fit on a building.

Great customer service. I'm a penny pincher and did comparisons and found their prices were higher than other shops for similar basic work (alignment and tires). Nonetheless, their customer service almost made the extra cost worth it. I really enjoyed speaking with Josh, excellent guy!They're trustworthy. I had other shops' mechanics diagnose my vehicle alignment and they confirmed exactly what Honest Wrenches said.I highly recommend, but cannot give 5 stars (I'd like to give them 4.75) due to the prices being higher than the 2 other shops I contacted for alignment quotes. I'm a proponent of the team even if I went with another shop for alignment and tires.

I am glad I chose Honest Wrenches! When they were not able to determine what was causing the noise I heard and was not doing it when I left it with them, they didn't try make up something. They told me to bring it back when I heard the noise again and didn't charge me for not being able to find it. Two days later, the noise changed and this time they were able to hear it and found the water pump was going out and sent me a video to show me how bad it was. The first sound I heard, I thought it was the transmission. I was glad I was not on a long trip. I now feel I can trust my vehicle for many more miles because Honest Wrenches gave me full condition of my car and let me decide what I wanted them to do. I also like the warranty. No pressure what to do but great suggestions what was most important and what could wait. Thanks Aaron for putting up with me as if I was your best friend.

From now on, Honest Wrenches will be the only place I will take my cars for maintenance and repairs. I visited the West Des Moines location and they have the best customer service and automotive care I have received in a very longtime. I feel like part of their family where my safety and the safety of my vehicle is their only priority. The maintenance cost for my car was not only completed in a timely manner but also reasonably priced. Everyone is so nice, helpful, and welcoming. I actually look forward to my next visit to Honest Wrenches.

Honest Wrenches was awesome. They got my car in quickly, provided a shuttle, and got everything done in a timely manner. The whole experience was awesome. Their prices are fair and they didn't try to sell me other unnecessary services. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking.

I have been a long time customer at Smart Honda, but their service has gotten terrible over the last couple of years and their prices are ridiculous. They also have implemented a charge on customers to use a credit card. In looking for a new place, I was blown away by Honest Wrenches. The customer is truly first! I will be coming back from everything like simple oil changes or larger repairs and maintenance.

Aaron and Evan were super helpful and thorough. I love all the information you have available as the vehicle owner and the price of repairs was reasonable with a lot of options available. I had to defer one thing but will definitely will be back!

They were super informative and gave consistent updates! I never had to question the status of my vehicle while in their care. The provided me with information about my vehicle that will help me care and maintain it even outside of my concerns when I brought it in. I was even able to have a reliable vehicle courtesy that allowed for minimal disruption of my day-to-day life. Joshua provided excellent and service the entire time. Would definitely recommend!

Very friendly and informative. The pictures and information they share about repairs gives peace of mind helps to keep me from feeling like I m being taken advantage of. The courtesy car service is super helpful and one of the reasons I will keep coming back

Tom was my service advisor, and did an amazing job helping me with my vehicle. This was my first time at this location and everyone including Erik went over the top to help me out. Both Tom and Erik are very knowledgeable in what they do and after my experience here, I will be coming back for all of my car needs. Five stars all around!

I have no complaints. The service is top tier and nothing like I ve experienced before. Communication is great and the updates with pictures is such a nice touch. Being able to see what s wrong so you know they aren t pulling one over on you is a comfort more shops should consider. The convenience of the pick up/drop off or shuttle service is also an amazing perk. I ve been here a couple times and Shaun has always been a pleasure to work with. He let me know of the issues with my vehicle and recommended service, but once he learned it s a beater he never pressured me to fix things that weren t pertinent. There are cheaper shops around town, but the quality, benefits, and customer service aren t. Great job guys!

The services provided were great, I was helped by an amazing team that didn t push anything if it wasn t necessary. I was walked through my vehicles inspection by Joshua and he was very helpful and explained everything clearly he was also willing to work with me on getting a game plan together for any repairs. I thank honest wrenches for all their help and hard work!

This was my first time going to Honest Wrenches, and I could not recommend them more. They re very helpful and nonjudgmental. Joshua took the time to explain everything that they planned on doing in terminology I was able to understand, and the entire process was quick and worry-free. Very pleasant experience!

They were quick with diagnosing the issues in our vehicle. They were also up front and honest about the price of repairs with no hidden additional charges. They kept in touch with us the entire time to keep us updated on when our vehicle would be finished as well as provided a warranty much longer than other shops on the work they completed. They have reached out multiple times to ensure the vehicle is working to our liking. We could not be happier with our choice to take our vehicle to honest repair.

This has been the best experience I have ever when dealing with a automotive repair company!!!! From the first time I walked in their door to get infotainment about possibly having my vehicle repaired there I was treat as if I were a long time returning customer. Meeting and talking with Joshua Miksch, who would become my Service Advisor, convinced me that I definitely wanted Honest Wrenches to take care of my needed vehicle repairs!!!! Joshua answered all my questions and kept me informed in detail on the status of my vehicle. The total pricing for all neededrepairs was very reasonable. I was able me Shaun Smith the Master Technician that performed the repairs on my vehicle and discuss a persistent problem I was having with my vehicle. He took the time to explain what he would do to correct the problem. He really impressed me as a very professional individual in his craft. As you can probably tell Honest Wrenches has become the only facility that I will ever take my vehicle to for repairs !!!! I recommend them to anyone that needs their vehicle repaired. Outstanding in all aspects!!!!

Love getting my oil changed at Honest Wrenches. They do a thorough check of my vehicle and include pictures in their report so you can see any issues they may have found. The technicians are so kind and while they address any concerns they may have found, they don't pressure you.

I have taken my car to Honest Wrenches a few times now and I have never had a better experience with a mechanic. They are quick to get your car in, provide timely updates and the PDF they provide of your car is quite frankly amazing. I got my car in yesterday for a wheel bearing issue and it was ready a day later. Car issues suck, but I do feel like I can trust these guys to not only get the job done but also do it right. This place has such high ratings for a reason.

Honest Wrenches does not push you into services that are unnecessary at this moment and time. These guys are all top notch. From the boss to the counter to the mechanics. Just had 2 cars taken care of there by the 2 Josh's that work there amazing. They kept me well informed and updated with everything from what was wrong to how much it would cost and when it would be ready to pick up. Did an amazing job all the way around. Won't take my vehicles any other place ever. Thanks to a great team of people. You've made this Mom a very happy one!!! Keep up the great job. I did have a good experience the first time until I talked with another local mechanic and tow truck driver and they told me how bad I had gotten ripped off. So I won't be going back.

Josh and Sean at Honest Wrenches were great to work with. I own a 2016 Lexus RX350 and they provided a detailed diagnostic report with images to help me make the service decisions I needed. Communication was excellent throughout the process. Moved up to the Des Moines area a few months ago and have been looking for a good mechanic since. Saw all the great reviews of Honest Wrenches in west DM and decided to take my truck there. I spoke to Shaun and Josh and they were both great! They helped me decide what I actually needed done on my truck since I won t be keeping it for much longer, they were very honest and weren t just looking to make a quick buck. I will absolutely be using them as my regular go to repair shop for any future needs.

Our experience w/Honest Wrenches was 5 star. . We had an emergency issue w/our brakes failing on our way to Wisconsin, & needed immediate assistance. Vehicle went in with multiple engine issues requiring finite workmanship. Initial assessment of the whole vehicle, i was provided more information about my vehicle then I have ever seen from an initial inspection. This was greatly appreciated. Shaun provided specifics, recommendations and gave a very close estimate to perform repairs. There was no attempt to upsell me on extra work to repair minor things that were noted during the initial inspection. The 5 year/50,000 mile warranty work was a huge plus to their services. I highly recommend this maintenance shop.
