Car died on the highway 3 1/2 hours from home. Had it towed here. Paul was very friendly, informative and helpful to me and to everyone that I saw him interact with. They weren t able to fix my car unfortunately, but they didn t even charge me for the time they spent trying to diagnose the issue. Good guys!

I was told by the store manager Arton Rrukaj that I needed to replace all 4 tires. When I only needed to have one tire replaced. I feel that he is doing Firestone a discredit by lying to customers. He said that all 4 tires had to be replaced. THEY HAD LESS THAN 10k miles on them. I spoke to the dearship about what happen and they said that he should have replaced the damage tire only. I'm NOT happy with Arton Rrukaj. He told me that if I didn't replace all 4 tires, I could damage my transmission or transfer case. ($5000 or more) He is a terrible store manager and I'll make sure that I tell everyone NOT to go to Firestone for any of their auto needs. This store is run by a crook. They didn't even offer to have the car aligned after putting 4 brand new & unnecessary tires on my car.

They made it very easy! Paul was a blessing. He ordered my tires and planned it in such a way that I could take advantage of a promotion that was happening. I appreciate this level of service.

My daughter went there for an oil change. They talked her into 1.600.00 worth of work.When her husband called to complain about this, the manager just said so sorryMaybe next time you should bring you car.

Very Friendly and Knowledgeable Staff. Easy to get to from home. Efficient, Knowledgeable automotive mechanics. Was a Pleasure doing business with them, will definitely be a return customer when the time arises for both regular maintenance and unexpected maintenance.2nd Visit & Service: Very professional and knowledgeable advisors and mechanics on staff. They kept me up to date on every step of service to my vehicle and performed service in a very timely manner. Clean facility. Great location.

Another horrible Firestone Store......seems like this is company wide problem. Manager was rude, not helpful and really needs to moved to a position that has no customer interaction.Made an appointment for our vehicle, showed up and they claimed no appointment was made. After looking at the vehicle. They were less than helpful (typical for Firestone) on resolving our vehicles issues. I suggest using Costco for tires, they now offer free install and free mounting and they are less than a mile from this poor performing location.Do yourself a favor and avoid Firestone, the brand has declined and they aren't hiring the right people to change or improve the culture. You have been warned......UPDATE: Firestone customer service, it's time to stop canned replies to these complaints and actually address the systemic issues at your retail locations.

Wont be going back after my first experience at this location. The original work was done, and it was the byproduct of the work after driving off the location that went bad that I had to end up taking to a different auto shop to easily fix on the fly within one hour. That other local shop did a quick no charge service and simply asked for future business for my vehicle. I said you have it. Just be careful folks.

Don t waste your time coming here. I had a leak in my tire and was told it could be fixed with a patch. I was called about an hour later and was told they couldn t patch my tire because it had a patch previously. That s fine except for the fact that they said they had to change all 4 of my tires and they couldn t change the one because my car has 4 wheel drive? The appointment was under my boyfriend s name and the guy who called us was shocked that a man picked up, guess he was expecting to rip off a woman. They ended up replacing my tire with the spare that I had and did not call us at all to let us know the tire was fixed? I had to go in myself to pick up my car. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!!

I am going to update this to let all know that the products are great, no problem. I will also say that Firestone support was/is extremely professional, prompt, and very understanding.Very, very poor service. I took an hour of work to come to an appointment that I made with a human on the other end, and when I show up, they have no idea who I am. How sad. I wasn't even on their schedule so that they could have called me to reschedule. Go somewhere else, it will save you wasted time!

I had a nail in one of my tires and I was able to easily make an appointment online for the same day. They finished the job quickly and didn t try to push anything extra on me. The price was also very reasonable. The staff was friendly and prompt.Service: TiresService: Tires

Fairly clean waiting area & friendly staff. I was grateful they got me right in and were very helpful in getting a flat tire replaced. For the follow up visit for a new tire, the scheduling could improve.

I had an 8am appointment set days in advance on Sunday for a simple tire rebalance apparently the guy called me at 5pm the night before and left a voicemail saying someone wasn t going to be in till 10 am which I never received the voicemail or anything which he got smart about that and ran his mouth and the whole situation doesn t make any sense you can t tell me you don t have anyone there that doesn t know how to balance a tire in a tire shop. I wouldn t trust these guys to check my oil they are absolute trash of mechanics. I will never go to a Firestone again stay away from here!

they did oil change and the check engine light turned on because there is problems with the oil filter Not for it /Used wrong oil filter and i talk with the store manager about it he is Not professional at all i ask for for refund because i take it to the dealership and they diagnostic test and i paid for everything all what i ask is simple oil change and i've been charging at the dealership almost $400 Not recommended this Firestone location at all

Absolutely terrible place full of scammers. My car was needing an oil change and had a check engine light on. My boyfriend had a code reader and provided them with a code before the appointment was made. They did get me in the next day for an appointment, however, I received a call that I had issues with the timing belt and it would be a $1900 fix and would take a full day to do. I called around to other mechanics and found out that the cost should only be around $500 and take an hour so I asked Firestone to only change the oil because I was due for a change and religiously change it every 3,000 miles. Going to pick up my car I receive a $200 bill, $60 for an oil change which was reasonable and the rest to diagnose the issue after we already gave the code prior, absolutely ridiculous. The credible mechanic I ended up going to said the belt did not need to be replaced and that places like this are known for scamming people turning that $1900 charge to $195 to replace a different piece and the days worth of work to 20 minutes. Also want to mention that they did not check the anti freeze during the oil inspection. Thought it was routine to run a service check on a vehicle while doing an oil change? Or at least that s how every other mechanic I ve been to does an oil change and in this case $60 seems a bit steep to do half the job. Should have read the reviews before. Lesson learned for next time even though there won t be a next time. Save yourself money and go to a local place especially if you are a young female they will take advantage of you. Would give 0 stars if possible.

Absolutely Will NEVER do business with this location again. Dropped the car off at 100 and it is after 5pm and the car has yet to be done. But the workers are busy on their phones and drinking energy drinks. and not touching any of the cars in the bay! BEWARE of this location!!!

First bad trip: The mechanic tried to sale me a much more expensive oil change than my old Ford Focus needed. Then they locked the key of my Focus in the car & had to call a specialist to open the car.Second bad trip: The hydraulic system (that moves the car high enough to inspect it) was not working and they couldn't do the maintenance I needed.

I called before heading to the store, letting them know my situation, and they gave me an appointment, as soon as I arrived, they said they were unable to diagnose the problem. Turns out I had a broken battery. Once I replaced it, everything worked fine.

Terrible service. Messed up our car and want to charge $112 to just look at what they broke and trying to say they did not mess it up. The man at the front desk was unprofessional and childlike. Been there many times and have never had such bad service as today. Do not reccomened going here unless you want to have them try and scam you. Definitely listen to all the other bad reviews that say they are scammers and extremely unprofessional.To add to it I had told the man at Firestone that they must have messed up a cable when they were looking at the air filter, he said that s not how it works and it s not possible. Well just took the car to subaru and they said that yep the people at Firestone bent the cable so that s why our a/c knob was not working. Who knew it was so easy to be smarter than the mechanic who works at Firestone.Services: Tires, Wheel alignment, Air conditioning

I found a leak in my tire around 1pm today. Called and even though they were busy, the man said he could fit me in at 3. They found the leak but said it was not repairable and they had some tires on stock. Overall they were very kind and quick with the whole process.

Went in for an oil change. Told me I needed new brake fluid and it would cost me 700 bucks but THANKFULLY if I got the Firestone card I d only have to pay 650 bucks. As much as such a great deal as that is I think I ll do it myself for 30 dollars. What an absolute trash fire of a person for saying that.

Absolutely horrible. Took my Kia Sorento in for a routine oil change. 48 hours later my car completely breaks down on the highway. I ve never had issues. I tow it back to them. They tell me my battery is suddenly bad and I need to pay them $250 for a new battery, I tell them my battery is actually brand new, less than two years old and that this is too much of a coincidence and they messed something up. They guy just says yeah, coincidence . You can get a battery at Walmart for less than $120. Definitely taking it elsewhere. Horrible experience!Service: Oil change

Everyone at the shop was extremely nice and helpful. Jeremy took the time to check out some concerns we had with our trailer tires and brakes. I was visiting Des Moines from out of state. My alternator failed on a Friday afternoon. I was barely able to make it to Firestone. They said they could fix it without problem, but couldn't get the part. I found one a short distance away, but they refused to put it in. They only install parts they supply. I begged them to make an exception and offered to waive any warranty. I knew no one, had nowhere to stay and needed to get home. They refused. I will never go to Firestone again. Policies are more important than people.

If there was a rating of less than one star that's what they would getwo and a 1/2 hours away from home and my company vehicle blue attire. Needed new tires Take the next left onto west first street After arriving at eight am My truck finally has four new tires on it shortly after twelve thirty I get back to work going down the interstate And the whole truck started shaking come to find out they failed to tighten lug nuts all the way I took it back. They tipped the tires off clean them rebound them and put them back on not one time. Did I ever see a torque ranch used? But people. Read? Your. Reviews? They don't lie after they got the truck finished. I took it back out on the same stretch of interstate and drove and it did not shake. As they tried to blame the lines in the interstate is what was making the truck shake they were just trying to cover there a** knowing they did wrong. Buy Good year tires people.Service: Tires

Had a flat tire and had my car dropped off there to receive a new tire after excellent service and experience a week prior at another location. When called a second time to ask questions about the service being done, and expected timeline, the male customer service rep was very short and rude to me on the phone. Will not be returning to Firestone West Des Moines anytime soon.Service: Tires

I work in Des Moines but live 50 miles away. Had an issue with my vehicle that worried me about driving it home. The Firestone tech worked my vehicle in and diagnosed the issue. Professional and Friendly. Will be back.

Traveling through from Ohio and took a new car in that I just bought that had an alternator installed improperly. Not only did Firestone fix this problem for me but they also were willing to call the dealership I bought it from to back me up. Arton Rrukaj, the store manager, was amazing and deserves a raise! Thank you Firestone!

I was a walk-in, had a flat tire, unfortunately it wasn t patchable and had to be replaced. From the time I got there to the time I left, it only took an hour. I m super happy with the service I get here every time I come in!Service: TiresService: Tires
