Don t take your car here! I would never visit this location again. The customer service and communication was terrible! Less than a year ago I took my car here for what I thought was a cracked oil pan. When the car was finished they told me the oil pan wasn t cracked and even showed me the oil pan with no cracks. They informed that it was my oil censor inside of the pan but still purchased a new oil pan with out asking me and charged me almost 900.00 bucks! Less than a year later the oil pan is leaking from the gasket and is under warranty. When I called them about this they informed me that I would have to wait a month to get my car in and if it wasn t a warranty issue they would charge me a 90 dollar diagnostic fee. Just unreal and the way he talked to me made me feel even worse. A few weeks ago I also took my daughters car in to have it inspected and was charged the same 90 dollar diagnostic fee, I understand shops do charge these fees but they should be transparent about it every time. There are posted price in the shop for oil changes and what not but nothing about a diagnostic fee. I will not be going back!

After being quoted $600 worth of repairs on my car at the dealership, Lund Motors graciously offered me a rough estimate for repairs, checked on parts, and initial thoughts in what might need to be fixed. This is over the phone with no guarantee I d bring my car in for service.After looking at my car they determined no work was needed and my car is safe to drive. I am grateful for their time and the money I was able to save. I will not hesitate to reach out for future car repairs.

I ve taken several of my vehicles in for minor repairs. In a time where it s getting harder to find a trustworthy shop, I wouldn t hesitate to take my cars in for a job, big or small. Quick service, fair pricing and they don t try to upsell unnecessary repairs.

I contacted Lund Motors as they were highly recommended in a Mustang group in the Des Moines area. My 2006 GT still had the original shocks and struts and was in need of replacing. They also replaced the front brakes. I also had them install a strut tower brace when everything was buttoned back up. Handling is definitely improved and I can't wait for the summer cruising season. We moved to the Des Moines area a few years ago and were looking for a reliable mechanic. Lund Motors was recommended by a friend of a friend. I have been there a couple of times for repairs on two different vehicles. In each instance, they fixed what needed to be fixed without adding unnecessary or unwanted services. They do their best to get you back on the road the same day! They are fairly priced and friendly.They have become "my go-to mechanics"!!!!

Called to make an appointment and they were able to get me in the next day. I waited there while the work was done and I was in and out within 40 minutes. Got two quotes from other top rated repair shops in the area who both wanted $140 to even look at my car. Instead I brought it here, they were super friendly, figured out the issue within an hour and gave me back the keys without a charge. Great company with a mom-and-pop type feel. Awesome crew! I have gone to Lund for all my oil changes and any minor maintenance needs. I also know I can trust them to work on all of my severe car problems. They will always work quickly and relatively cheap to get you back on the road!

I've been bring my vehicles to Jeff and the guys here for a decade and refuse to go any where else. I trust Lunds honesty about what my Jeeps need and don't need and I always recommend them to others.

Great service. We didn t know why our vehicle wasn t starting. Talked to the person at the front desk. He had couple suggestions. It was a manual transmission truck and he suggested we jump start it by popping the clutch which we forgot all about that. It worked great and we were able to get the truck running and drove it to Lund Motors to figure out what was wrong with it. They figured out the problem right away and fixed the problem. They were very friendly and very helpful. The cost was very reasonable and not trying to upsell you on something you didn t need. I would go back again. Jeff is amazing. My car broke down near the shop. He was very straightforward on what was wrong and what needs to be fixed. Not to mention the price was a lot cheaper then other shops

They were awesome! After the local Ford dealer advised me they couldn t even look at my car for over a month, Lund recommended someone to tow my car to them (didn t need a tow the guys from Dans Towing got me started), they took 20 minutes to diagnose and fix the issue and get me back on the road. They will get a lot more business from me and my family! Thank you guys! We made it to Sturgis.

Jeff and his group are so incredibly friendly and honest with different quotes I requested for services, they even recommended another local business for something they felt would be better suited elsewhere as a second opinion. Honest folks at Lunds! I took my car in to have brakes replaced, but they said brakes were still ok. Instead, they Said my wheel bearing needed replaced. I called around to check prices and got a cheaper quote from a chain car place so decided to take it there. Once the other place had my car, their quote went out the window and was $170 more. AND they said both needed replacing. I called them on it and said Lunds was cheaper AND they only said one bearing needed to be replaced. The chain place backtracked, matched the price, and said only one NEEDED replacement if I was going to choose. I would have saved myself the time and hassle if I had just stuck to Lunds. I will definitely come back to Lunds because they are honest, trustworthy, friendly, local, and their oil changes are $35 cheaper than the chain place.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Oil change

This was our first time using Lund. Jeff was able to work us in to their schedule so my son could get his car serviced before heading back to college. He was extremely easy to work with and answered all of our questions, no pressure to "fix" things unexpectedly - just honest recommendations. Shortly after moving to the area needed a repair, quick. Went to Lund Motors because they were close by. We have kept going because they are really excellent. We go for regular maintenance and any surprises. The friendly service and great communication were appreciated and far and above two other shops in Waukee we attempted to use. We are thankful our neighbor recommended Lund. We have been using Lund Motor since 2013. They have never ripped us off, or marked things up insanely like the Ford dealership in town has done. They are always fair and Jeff is beyond nice. I will definitely be back to Lund Motors. I thought it was a transfer case. They advised me same day what needed to be fixed. Wheel hub assembly, ball joints and fuel pump needed attention. They were able to quote it in the spot and said they can have it ready next day. I was having some very strange noises coming from the right front end of my car and underneath towards the back. I dropped my car off at Lund's was called just a few hours later with the specifics of the problems and I gave them the go ahead to repair. I picked it up before the end of business today for a reasonable charge. Driving home there was not a hint of the noises and I had a detailed account of the work that had been.
