Unbelievably amazing job by these professionals. Absolutely above and beyond customer service, they are very Swift at getting jobs done especially somewhat bigger jobs. The manager Mike Garrigan is one of the most awesome friendly managers you'll ever see at most shops. Everybody at this location is very easy to work with and professional. Everything I brought my vehicle in for they have done it without any problems and I have not had to bring it back for anything they've done wrong. I highly recommend them and their prices are most of the time less than half of what a dealership costs. They do have coupons for discounts also and specials every so often. They also have shuttle services free of charge in case you have to drop your vehicle off for more than several hours.

I have been bringing my car to Brakes Plus for oil changed ever since we moved back to the area. The location is convenient to me, I have always been able to make appointments for times that work best with my schedule, and they provide quality work with a quick-turnaround. The employees are always pleasant as well, which makes for a great overall experience!

There are very few car shops that I leave feeling like I didn t get manipulated & am fooled into spending way more money and that there is work being done on my car that didn t need done - but this is one of those shops. Rob was absolutely fantastic, showing me my brake pads and rotors to show me why I needed them replaced, and then talked through the different options with me & the pricing - even reassuring me that the cheaper option was an ok solution for now. For those that don t know much about cars and may just ignore possible car issues like I do due to not wanting to be bamboozled, I would recommend this shop

Needed an oil change asap. Made an appointment and got right in for the next day in the morning, which was lovely. The receptionist who took our appointment call and who was in charge during our stay was pleasant and welcoming, the mechanic very professional.Was told the price from the beginning, so there would be no nasty surprises.Incredibly reasonable prices for oil changes. Possibly the lowest I've seen in the state so far.When problems arose they were quick to answer questions and immediately gave us a quote for solutions.

This Brakes Plus location really helped me out in a pinch! I was in town visiting family and my brakes were starting to feel funny. I stopped in to get them checked and so glad I did! Without their replacement I would not have had a safe trip back to Colorado! Friendly, honest, and convenient! Thank you!

Had awesome experience today at Brakes Plus. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with welcoming arms. Went for an oil change and the lady at the counter offer me a two one package deal that save me money. Will definitely be back!

I would strongly suggest anyone is Waterloo/Cedar Falls to use Brakes Plus on Ansborough. I had a recent car issue that ended with my prior auto shop telling me I was beyond their help and telling me I had a Parasitic Draw in my car. All this to say I was referred to Brakes Plus by a friend and took my car to them. The next morning the owner Mike had contacted me saying he found the issue with my car, found the replacement part and could have it done by the end of the day. Mike and his team had told me that I didn't even have a Parasitic Draw and explained the issues had with my vehicle. All this to say, they are speedy, excellent communicators, they don't give you the run around, they are honest and helpful to many car situations and understanding in life situations. I will be going there for all my car needs now. Their service is hard to beat. Thanks guys!

Highly recommend! The new manager, Michael, was great at letting me know things the C & S dealer missed. A code came up a 2-3 hours after my car was inspected by Brakes Plus & about a half a day after C & S had it for about a month. C & S pulled the code saying it was a downstream sensor so Brakes plus did a free inspection & showed me that I didn t need new brake pads like C & S stated was urgent in fact, they re at a 4 1/2 which is normal. Brakes plus also found a rusted through busted coil in the rear suspension that C & S missed when they had my car for a month. This place is great on prices compared to Tires Plus & C & S. When I called around locally for quotes on parts, brakes plus were only a few dollars more expensive for the most part. I Just want to mention, you cannot buy your own parts & have Brakes plus put them in, which was what I was trying to do but called them before I purchased to verify. I will continue to go here. They will actually bring you out to the lift and show you what they have found. They also drained the 2 liters of excess oil that C&S overfilled my oil for free since C& S was closed for the holidays. I don like that they unplugged my battery without telling me. I only found out because my clock was off by several hours and when I opened the hood the battery cover/flap was open. They weren t even working on anything dealing with the battery so idk why it was messed with.. just a little irritating. It also took several more hours than they said it would take & didn t call to give me an update on why it was taking longer. They have free shuttle service so I didn t have to worry about getting a ride which is nice.

On Dec 2, 2023, I had all my brakes replaced, along with a brake line replaced. It took much longer than initially told but that was alright, considering the work I had to get done. While in the waiting room, another customer had her brakes inspected and was highly stressed that repairs would take more than her budget allowed. The manager (I assume it was him) came out and told her that her brakes were fine and explained to her about ABS, the purpose, and how it worked and said she didn't need any work done. She was still concerned that something -may- be wrong but was much more relieved than before. After he left the waiting room, I told her to just be glad that she was in a place that didn't try to sell her a bunch of unnecessary repairs and that what the manager was saying about ABS, was what I knew as well, on how it works. She left happy and I left with the capability to actually come to a complete stop within a short distance! All was good.

What a great professional crew all around! They know cars! I went in needing help trying to figure out why my car seemed to be leaning sideways. They checked it out and showed me what was wrong. The struts and shocks all needed replacing. They were able to get the parts right away and replaced them all in one day! They can count on me being back!Services: Steering & suspension repair, Oil change

Great service! Was priced $130 at another shop for a oil change due to the oil my car takes, called around and they got me in asap for just $95., didn t inform me I had a leak.

I had a wonderful experience right when I walked in I had a friendly greeting . I was offered a package and didn't feel poorly for just needing a oil change . I would highly recommend coming to breaks plus on Ansbrough Ave in waterloo . Best prices in town and not to mention they fit me right in and I was in and out . Thank you so much

Michael is awesome! We brought my Dad's vehicle in last b week for an oil change, brake inspection, filters and dash lights that were coming on! When he called my Dad to tell him what they found, he called him Gunney! My Dad's face lit up as he was a gunnery Sargeant in the Marine Corp! Michael was very helpful and made my Dad day, so that why I took my car to him for an oil change and filters! We'll continue to take our vehicles to Tuffy's for the friendly service, price and amazing work!

Started using tuffy by brake plus after Midas screwed me over and I filed a lawsuit against them. Ashley bond has taken care of all my needs from prices to service. Could not be more thankful if you stop in or call hopefully you get her .
