Looking at the hotel when I first arrived I was a little worried. However this is the prime example of do not judge a book by its cover. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the lobby to find it bright welcoming albeit a little dated. It was nice!! My room was comfortable and clean. No evidence of bed bugs at all. Trust me I check every single time I stay in a hotel. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Eggs, sausages, waffles and cereal. My only issue I had was no juice. I like juice with my breakfast. Overall, for the price this was a great place to stay.Rooms: Nice and comfortableFood & drinks: Awesome diner up by the Sinclair.

Ski trip from Illinois to Colorado. It's place where you rest! The quality of sleep experience can be only compared to the first try of melatonin but without melatonin. You sleep here well, short and getting fully rested. V.good energy. It's clean, quiet & easy to access from I-80. I was here 4th or 5th time.

Very nice hotel right off the exit. Room 105 was very clean. Stayed for 1 night on a long trip. Only drawback there is 1 place to eat nearby for regular food. There is a Kum & Go station across the street that has some food.Rooms: Very nice, clean. See pictures.

You get what you pay for but I don't think it was worth $100 for less than 12 hrs. The bed was clean, the room was clean (enough) but the shower curtain had mold at the bottom. TV worked and breakfast as ok. The sausage and eggs made my fiance sick and I wonder how long they were out because we didn't get to breakfast until 8:30. Not a bad experience, just not worth the money spent.

Clean, simple accommodations. Place is well-kept. Good value. Fast internet. As of the writing of this review (Aug 2023), there is no juice machine in the breakfast nook. Love me some mini waffles, though!

I had to do my own housekeeping. Sheets, towels, trash were all replaced by me. I guess the housekeeper didn't want to work that day. The breakfast was exactly the same every single day of my stay, it got boring really quickly. The other guests were a very mixed bunch, you can tell some were on drugs and were very unpleasant. It wasn't the best stay I've had.

Nice place to stop for the night when traveling. Just off the freeway, very convenient. Very clean and comfortable beds with a nice, hot breakfast in the morning. They had scrambled eggs, sausage, and waffles plus an assortment of cereal, yogurt, and breads.

This was a unique experience. Greg ( think I have that right) and Grace were interesting proprietors. Greg runs on Greg time so just relax and go along for the ride. And if you're fortunate enough to have Grace tell you her stories you are one lucky person!!! The room was very clean and cute. Extra touches. The breakfast is simple. It was a great experience. If we come this way again we'll definitely stay. ( Lost a whole day in this town. More antique stores than you can get through! )

A friend and I were drive back to North Carolina from Montana. We stopped here to get some rest a little less than midway through our trip. We checked-in around 11pm and were gone by 6am. In a hurry the next morning I left an item very expensive in the room not realizing it until 90 miles down the road. I called and told them what had happened and I was on my way back. When we returned They (manager Greg) had put a do not disturb sign on the door so that cleaning personnel would not bother the room. I was able to go in the room and retrieve my item with no hassle. I want to thank the staff and manager for being so thoughtful and considerate. If I am ever back through that way I would definitely stay there again.

This is the finest Econo Lodge I've stayed in. The room was large and clean. The beds were comfortable, and all the furnishing was pretty and unusually durable. I was pleased that the usual cups in the room were even glass rather than just disposable plastic. The breakfast was good, although the only options for my celiac mother were hard boiled eggs and coffee. However, I don't expect an out-of-the-way hotel to cater to a still fairly uncommon disease.

I checked in very late due to a weather delay which caused my reservation to be cancelled. However the clerk was able to fix this for me. He saw that I had a service dog and informed me of the designated place to walk my service dog. He also have me a room at the end near the back door which was next to the pet area. I greatly appreciated his courtesy. The room was very large with a very large bathroom. The room was clean and the hotel was very quiet. I wanted to stay there again when I was traveling they but the hotel was booked solid. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through Iowa.

Stopped for one night on our way back from vacation. We were told there was only a king size bed and a small room so we went with the small room. Once we got in the room, we saw dilapidated ceiling tiles, a cigarette burn in one of the blankets, and part of the bathroom door was off its hinge and would not close.Went down and asked for another room but the female staff said she told us it was a trucker's room, as if to excuse the poor condition. And she lied, she only told us beforehand that it was a small room. We did get another room, but the walls were still dirty. And the staff told us to only use one bed. Like one reviewer said before, it needs a lot of upkeep which is not being done. Also, we went down to breakfast and while there we heard some of the staff gossiping about the guests. Very unprofessional and rude. Time to get new staff and management or close down.

My experience with this hotel was shocking and unbelievable.I was travelling through and the roads became extremely dangerous. I passed over 30 vehicles in the ditch with at least 12 being jackknifed tractor trailers. So I decided to look for a room.I checked online and saw they had availability. Before booking, I decided to drive to the hotel first. When I entered, there was a father and daughter in the lobby. There was no front desk staff present. They had been waiting for over 45 minutes. We tried everything to get in touch with someone and that included calling head office. We ended up waiting for over 90 minutes when an older gentleman appeared from the laundry room. His hair was flattened and when I asked if he was sleeping, he said yes. He then proceeded to tell us there was no vacancy. This seemed weird because there were only 9 vehicles in the lot and 2 of them were ours!Given the fact that it was now 2 am, as he headed back to his sleeping area, I said I guess we'll just sleep in the lobby. He said "well....", Got himself a drink and disappeared to his room. I guess the good thing was they actually didn't mind us sleeping on the couches and loveseats for a few hours.

My daughter and I tried to get a room here and waited with several others for over an hour until someone came out of their room to attend to us. It was 1 in the morning and we had no choice but to stay there as the roads were horrible and there were over 30 cars/semis in the ditch. A person staying at the hotel tried to help us locate someone but had no luck. When the employee finally came out, he was unpleasant and unhelpful. He said that their system was down and the hotel was full. Although the parking lot was not full by any means. We asked if we could sleep in the lounge as it was too dangerous to drive and he shrugged and went back to his room- Never to see him again. Horrible night made even worse by this interaction! I will never stay at another Econlodge based on this level of customer service. I would give this zero stars if I could.

Room is nice and clean for 50$. Breafast is avaiable but frankly is a bit of a joke. No meat but hard boiled eggs offered. Walls are paper thin. Morning staff and night staff are worlds apart. Morning staff did not dress for the job, looks like they were sleeping on the job. Night staff are polite and helpful. The room service is done by one old man, and he does a great job. Give him a tip. Had no choice but to stop here due to icy roads. It is worth is for the price.

Nice place for a decent price. No stains on the bedding, staff was friendly, no bugs, pet friendly etc. Only complaint is the room wasn't ready when we got there (they were busy due to an event) and we were immediately put into another room for the same price. Didn't stay long enough for breakfast but looked like a good variety of food. There was also a washer and dryer ($1 each) and vending/ice machines. Only complaint about the town is there is nothing that delievers and not to many restaurants to choose from. Overall it was a nice stay! Stayed in room 110

We arrived with a family of 5 and had a room with 2 queens and a pull out couch. Run by a very kind husband and wife team. They live there and really want you to enjoy your stay. Clean, tidy, and very quiet. A few things need still need to be addressed like like a large water stain on the ceiling of our room but overall a nice place to stay.
