I want to thank the staff at Shade Tree Auto Urbandale mostly for the honesty of the status of my vehicle in regard to any repairs needed. As a senior citizen with limited income I was worried that I would be paying for repairs that wasn't necessary. They did a awesome job of going over every inch of my car and messaging me the results along with pictures... Even tho the out come wasn't what I hoped for I more then appreciate the service I received... I will and would definitely recommend any one who needs repairs or inspections on a vehicle Shade Tree is the place you want to go....

Dustin Klein was my main point of contact and help. He had always been so patient and respectful to me. His team are the most wonderful and helpful mechanics I have ever met. They help me work on my car for months to try and figure out the problems and well. It's not necessarily fixable at this point. Dustin has done everything in his power to help me, and I cannot appreciate him enough. Their kindness and generosity will forever be in my memories

Honest mechanics, will not just do your standard quick lube oil change, but will give you an overall health report of your vehicle and work with you to keep your vehicle in top shape. Great communication and fair prices. Will continue to come back to here and Grimes!

AMAZING JOB. I travel the country for my job, so I often have to get repairs on the fly. Never in my 8 years traveling for work (or even in my home town) have I come across a place that left me feeling this comfortable about the work being done.From the start I couldn't be there for any of the work. They did bumper to bumper inspection. Sent videos of area of concerns, photos of all results good or bad.If I ever need anything done in future I will go to them or their other location. Thank you again amazing job!!!

Thank you Zach, Keith and the guys at Shade Tree (Urbandale location) for checking my metallic scraping sound without a reservation. We were in a bind not being from the area, the car fully loaded and had an 8 hour drive ahead of us. We had just come from the Grand Teton NP with lots of braking and were concerned we might have fried the brakes. They found a pebble had lodged in the brake caliper, removed it, test drove it and even though they said it did need brakes soon, it was safe to continue our trip. Thanks to their honesty and willingness to change their schedule, what was a minor issue didn't turn into a major issue for us on our vacations end. They have the nicest waiting area and office I've ever seen even at dealerships. I would definitely use them again

It s rare that you find a service center where you trust that they re being 100% honest with you. That s how I feel about shade tree auto, their fair and honest with you 100% of the time.

My truck wasn't running as smoothly as it should and I decided to bring it over to get some attention. Dustin and Zech at Shade Tree went above and beyond to troubleshoot and correct. This place is great! I don't know anything about cars, therefore it is important that I trust the place where I take ours. We don't live close to the Urbandale location, but make the drive because I trust Dustin and his team to take great care of our vehicles. Customer service is top notch along with the thorough work done. Everyone I've ever interacted with at Shade Tree is friendly, honest, and wants what is best for the customer. I'll never take our cars anywhere else.

Shade Tree always does a great job! I've been a customer for over 10 years. I recently used the Urbandale location to have an oil leak fixed and new tires. As always, the team did a great job. Thank you to Clint, Dustin and the crew!

Best customer service around! I can t thank Dustin enough for getting my car in to ensure it was safe to drive, even when they had a full schedule. It s hard to find a good and reliable auto shop these days but these guys are truly the best! If I lived here in urbandale I would take my car here for all its regular maintenance. This place is the best! Had issues with an alternator and Shade Tree went above and beyond to make sure it was taken care of. They 100% stand by their warranty. Will definitely be back!

Took Xterra to Nissan and Honest Wrenches and both miss diagnosed as Shorted ECU. Nissan even replaced the fuel pump that wasn't needed. Shade Tree Auto found the real problem and fixed it for less money than I spent not getting fixed. Great costumer service Thanks.Service: Electrical repairService: Electrical repair
