Rick did a great job as usual and the service technicians diagnosed and fixed my problem a couple of hours after I dropped off the vehicle. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years and have not been disappointed yet. Keep up the great work!

It s nice to find a place to work on my vehicle that I can trust. They changed my oil on no notice at a very reasonable rate and my bearings. Local, affordable, trustworthy, and friendly. It s my new go to shop after a long list of high priced over rated mechanics.

I TOOK BY CAR TO J & K FOR OIL AND FILTER CHANGE AND ALSO WHILE IT WAS THERE I HAD THEM REPLACE ALL THE FLUILDS IN THE BRAKE SYSTEM, COOLING SYSTEM, TRANSMISSION, AND THEY CHECKED THE CAR COMPLETELY OVER. THEY DID A GREAT JOB AND RICK TOOK ME HOME AND PICKED ME UP WHEN CAR WAS READY. I WOULD RECOMMEND THESE FOLKS FOR ANY OF YOUR CAR PROBLEMS. THEY WITHOUT A DOUBT ARE GETTING A BIG OLE 10 FROM ME.

I really hate to do this especially to a small business. I came in with my oil and check engine light on and they ran a diagnostic. I was told my car has a recall which apparently it doesn't I went to kia and asked. Was told my engine was failing which it also isn't I got it inspected again by another mechanic. I'm sorry but yall sure do put the J & K in your business because you are a joke. I had to pay nearly 90 dollars for you guys doing nothing. Must be nice.

J&K Automotive came highly recommended and it was right on. They were welcoming and professional. Beyond that, as a single woman, I felt comfortable that I was not being taken advantage of and will definitely take my car back there for further service.

1/5/2024 Once again, J&K, took care of my van. The engine light came on, which was worrisome. They took it in, fixed it quickly and had it back to me in the same day. I rely on them for all things related to my van. I never worry that I will be taken advantage of or over-charged.I have gone to J&K for the last 6 years and have recommended their services to several friends. They are friendly and competent . They always get me in in a timely manner. They are really the "hometown mechanics" I remember and their costs are very reasonable.1/20/2023Once again another great job by J&K. This is the garage service like we grew up with...local, personal and friendly as well as competent. I recommend them highly.5/10/2023100,000 service plus problems with HVAC system. Expected the service to be much more, but it wasn't. If you are looking for a local automotive repair business with competent, friendly staff, THIS IS YOUR BUSINESS. I'm a senior and my budget is tight..they will never take advantage. Recommend them highly.9/28/2023Once again excellent service. I always come away impressed by how professional the entire staff at J & K Automotive treats, not only me, but especially my rather mature 1992 vehicle.Nothing lasts forever but the mechanics at J & K work wonders at prolonging a vehicle which has served me well over the years.It is reassuring to have such a dedicated team that you can depend on.

These guys were very warm and accommodating. I told them we could stop by in about half an hour for an oil change if they could squeeze us in.. and they were more than happy to help us. They looked over our new truck, replaced the headlight for next to nothing. I would use them anytime I stop back into Des Moines. These are top notch guys.

Engine light came on. Dropped car off. Problem was diagnosed and repair was done. Service was excellent.I was appraised of what was to be needed. Car was available the next day.2/12/24Serviced car s transmission upon request. I was called that wipers were in need of replacement. Appreciated that they took time to check the whole vehicle.

We took our mini van in to have them check everything out to be sure it was ok to sell. I appreciated that we were able to drop it off and they would get to it when they had time. Rick handled my service and they had to replace my air shocks on the front & rear of my Cadillac Escalade. We ve had J & K Automotive service our vehicles for years & they are always fair & do an excellent job! Great customer service also!! I would highly recommend them!!

Rick and his team are first rate. They have been working on our family cars for years. Fair prices, quick and always do a great job. We had several times where I was out of town and my wife's car needed quick fixing; they arranged a tow and got on it the same day. They found that a manufacturer's service letter addressed the problem and it was a cheap fix. They have never tried to up charge or sell me on things I don't need. I recommend them to anyone. 5 stars aren't enough for these guys!

I've been going to them from a referral since I moved to Des Moines. Each time has been quick and easy. They always keep you informed if they find anything new as they look over the vehicle. As a true accountant at heart, I ve owned my last two vehicles for more than 15 years each. For auto repairs in the metro they are my go to resource for car maintenance. Their prices are fair, but most importantly, they only fix what is needed. No awkward conversations declining optional services. No driving away feeling taken advantage of. J&K is honest and fair and exactly what I look for in an auto mechanic.
