I knew my battery is bad so I took it in for warranty. The battery was purchased 2/27/21 with full warranty till 2/27/26 according to the receipt. It was kept overnight to charge and see how it reads. I pick it up and I have the same issue. A battery that won't charge past 50% and can barely start my truck. At Batteries Plus that's considered a good battery.Updated my original 1 star review as 1 year later the battery was finally replaced. Dealing with a bad battery for a year before having downtime on my work truck was a pain but they did finally take care of it.

Mario and his staff were absolutely phenomenal! I was a completely car illiterate woman dealing with a dead car battery while my husband was out of town and Mario went above and beyond to help me warranty my battery and get the new one installed. 10/10 and SO appreciated!

Wow! I had no idea this place was here, or so helpful, or convenient, or so friendly. They replaced the batteries for my mobility scooter, while I waited. They answered all my questions, and I browsed the store to find that they also stock all kinds of lightbulbs, phone supplies, and much, much more. I will be back!

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE! After confirming 3 times they could fix my key and allowing me to tow it (out of my pocket) AND making an appointment, they LIED and said we made it all up and are now saying we have to tow it somewhere else OURSELVES! Mario and Danny lied to us and are very unprofessional NEVER DO BUSINESS HERE!!

Nice store. Pulled in the parking lot with our 29' RV trailer in tow to get replacement batteries for it. They tested both batteries and reported one bad. I had previously looked into AGM replacement Duracell they carried for $340ea. I knew I should replace both and did. I had to order them online while in the store to get the 10% discount (but it was maxed at $25) and "pickup" in the store. Salesperson rang me up, refunded my old core, and helped carry one battery back to the RV.

I was told my <2 year old very expensive x2 battery dropping to 66% in 3 days on the shelf of their store after testing is normal because its an old battery. Dont buy one of those x2 batteries for a marine starting battery if you have newer electronics.

I took a tablet into this location to have the battery replaced. There was some mistakes done during the repair, however this location went above and beyond to make things right.I also buy all my car batteries from this location and every time i'm there their custom service is top notch.Great business with great employees!

Kate and Gage were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I brought my phone in for what I thought was an issue with my battery. I appreciated that they installed a new battery onsite without charge to see if that was the issue. Since it was not the battery, I had the phone sent off for further testing. I also appreciate that the additonal testing was free of charge without any sort of commitment. The offsite technicians were quick to diagnose the problem being related to my screen. Within about a week from when I initially took the phone in, I received my repaired phone, which is working 100% again. Great overall experience!

Suzanne and the staff at Batteries Plus are exceptional. The selection is amazing, but their knowledge and friendly personable service are what set them apart. I have sent many people there and all have reported receiving the same outstanding service and products that I've enjoyed.They have every kind of battery and bulb you can imagine, plus a bunch of really interesting related products. They can also rebuild your existing batteries like they did for my portable drill. Stop in and check them out for yourself. Tell 'em Ed sent you!EDIT: Now (2023), it seems all the reasons I loved shopping here no longer exist. great personable service, great deals on batteries, great choice of options, all gone. Stopped by to buy batteries and everything has changed. My company discount is apparently still available, but even with that applied, I might as well just buy my batteries at Costco. Sad, no reason to ever go back.

Would give 0 stars if possible! Don t take your phone to these people they fixed my phone twice still had to pay full price after warranty on top of that the same exact thing keeps happening the screen always pops back out it s absolutely no reason to keep taking the phone back for a warranty it s literally not going to help at all also save the rude comment your work speaks for you!

Ordered online and picked up in store. Shortly after hitting the payment button I received a call telling me my order was ready for pickup. Pickup was easy and quick plus 3 year replacement guarantee on my battery. Couldn't ask for better service.

The staff at the Urbandale Batteries Plus store have been friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful each time I ve visited.The online purchase/in store pick up was convenient. My battery was pulled off the shelf, waiting for my arrival.

The entire experience with batteries and bulbs was great. Purchased online, scheduled online with ease. Prices were the best I could find. Our technician was awesome and got the battery swapped out and offered advice on getting terminals replaced. Highly recommend you choose them for car battery replacements.

I've had nothing but phenomenal experiences with this location. Had a phone battery replaced today and they were very prompt and courteous, and have had multiple phone screens replaced by them in the past. Once, I brought in a phone that wasn't booting, thinking the screen had just gone out, but they found a much larger issue than just the screen, which they weren't able to fix. Not only did they give me info on the root issue, they didn't charge me since they didn't end up replacing the screen. I appreciated their candor and willingness to help, even though it didn't make them any money, and for that reason I continuously go back to this location whenever I need phone service.

Update: I bought a motorcycle battery online recently, unfortunately in this case their battery was inferior and more than twice what I paid. They did take the old battery for recycling, no charge, though.They were very capable and helpful staff finding the correct battery replacement even though the original application information was wrong. I walked out minutes later with a direct replacement which, when installed, fit and worked beautifully.Battery+ price was in the low middle range for a Duracell battery apparently made by East Penn Manufacturing who supplies many private label batteries to retail.

I had no idea until my son who works in IT for a company told me the fix cracked smartphone screens. I arrived 15 minutes prior to my scheduled time and they were able to go ahead and take my phone told me to come back in about 90 minutes. I had other shopping to do in the area. They were both very friendly and courteous. When arrived back at the store for my phone they were done and the screen was fixed. The price was way cheaper than what my phone company would have charged to fix it. So I will recommend them to anyone I see with a cracked screen!

I needed a battery replaced on my Moto Z2 play. They had to special order it for me. Everyone was very professional and friendly. Once they got it replaced we found some issues with the screen. Since the screen had been working when I brought it in they ordered a new one and replaced it for free. They even took the glass screen protector off the old screen and installed it was n the new screen. Once everything was completed it looks amazing and works flawlessly. They were running an in store special and it cost less than $50. They were great to work with, gave great updates, and made sure everything was perfect. I would definitely recommend going here for a battery or screen replacement.

Justin and the rest of the staff were awesome! They all worked to resolve issues with our two cracked iPhones, while still being attentive to the other customers who were there. They were professional, friendly, and patient the entire time. Thanks for the great service!

They had the exact auto battery I needed and it was ready as promised. I was doing the install myself and was short one tool - the counter guy was able to help. I'd have to say it was a great interaction and appreciated his helpfulness!

Awesome service and results. Gage, their master tech, replaced an iPhone screen without loss of the home button function (a danger if you break the glass around the home button). I ll be back here if I ever need any tech work done. Also, Justin and Sami were patient, welcoming, and very informative answering all my questions. Highly recommended location for Batteries Plus Bulbs.

My 2013 F150 truck battery needed replacement. One for the terminals was stuck on quite hard. Your employees did not give up and took care of the problem. I was impressed with the level of determination and dedication of those two employees. Service matters... and those individuals made me into a very satisfied customer. I will definitely return for other battery needs.

Abominable Battery Replacement Service iPhone up in Flames...I set an appointment at the Urbandale, Iowa Batteries Plus Bulbs location to have the battery changed on my iPhone, dropping it off for service by the experienced tech. When we returned 20 minutes later, he was watching a less experienced tech attempt to pry the battery out of the phone. Before our eyes, loud hissing, and flames engulfed our phone. Acrid smoke filled the store. There was no apology forthcoming from either the employee or the manager; ultimately we stood around the store the next two hours while they phoned around to various stores around the area looking for a replacement phone. We were left unattended for 20 minute stretches at a time, and were forced to specifically ask for very occasional updates.Management repeatedly misled us about the replacement phone, claiming they were ordering a new phone. When pressed to send us the order info, it was clearly a cheaper refurbished phone he had ordered. We felt pressured to accept a used replacement phone that might certainly have issues, or might even have inferior aftermarket parts installed given the price point. Given the lost trust, we took the payout and ran, but their payout fell dismally short of the true value of the phone we needed to replace. Their manager likes the phrase we ll make it right , but we certainly don t feel he lived up to the phrase. Fat chance getting a loaner phone the one they offered was faulty, and I was worried about getting financially tagged for its problems if I accepted it.Their price point for replacing iPhone batteries is lower than Apple s, but I strongly recommend you reconsider the risk versus the savings. I wish I had.

Do not get your phone repaired their!!!!! This is by far the worst experience I have had with any business in Des Moines. I first wen in to get my battery replaced on my phone, and when I got it the next day i was very happy to have a phone that could last, but that changed very shortly. The next day it died by 10:00, and when i took it back they replaced the battery. it died just as fast, so i took it back and i gave them my phone, and they tested it for two days. they said everything worked on it, and to try to use an apple brand charger to ensure a good charge, which i was using anyway. I lived with it for a few days then i tried to take it back, but the manager was their so i had to wait until the following Monday. when i got their their was another customer( who was having trouble with the manager and his product was not working) and he said because it was out of the 14 day return policy i could not return it. I took it to the apple store, and their was a crack in the screen from the battery not fitted right or swelling. DO NOT GET ANYTHING DONE ON YOUR PHONE HEAR! I paid them 60 dollars to break my screen and ruin my battery. the manager couldn't of have been meaner about it either, and we wont be going into their anytime soon.

I called regarding a phone repair. I was told they would need to order the part and would let me know when it arrives. After some 8 days I didn't receive a call. I called back and they had the part but never let me know. I came in to the store several days after confirming the part arrived. I let the man at the counter know that I am in need of a phone repair and that the part needed for the repair has arrived. He went to the back and returned to tell me I'll have to come back another time because they have not gone through their shipments for the day. I told him I confirmed several days ago that the part had arrived. He went to the back room again and confirmed the part is in. I left my phone to be repaired. I informed them that I do not have a phone at home and they said they would email me if they needed to contact me or to let me know the repair is completed. I never received an email. Not being able to call them I showed up several hours later to find it was completed. I'm very satisfied with the actual repair work and there doesn't appear to be any tooling marks from opening up the phone. However there seems to be a lot of communications and process issues. For that reason I would choose a different vendor for future phone repairs.

Called to get cell phone screen repaired, set up appointment for the next day and drove there-it is a 45 min drive. Arrives to be told they used the last screen earlier that day. So no point in making arrangements. They were going to call when they received more screens, 3 weeks still no call. Went elsewhere. My confidence was not high as two others were having heated conversations when I walked in. Maybe it was a good thing this did not happen as the work may have been ify.

Justin and his team at Batteries+ Bulbs did an outstanding job making sure I had the right bulb for my ceiling light. I was looking for a 500 watt specialty bulb which is rather uncommon for household needs. Nonetheless, Justin went out of his way to be sure I had the right one. Will definitely recommend to anyone looking for their products/services.
