On a road trip from Ga. to Iowa and my brakes started scrubbing. Read the reviews for different shops and Hermsen Auto stood out. I called at 9am and asked if he could do a brake job, he said he would squeeze me in. That was important to me because I was supposed to leave that day. He had my brakes repaired and oil changed by 3pm and I was omw. Thank you Hermsen for timely service at a fair price. Wished you were in Ga.

Our entire family has gone to Hermsen Automotive for over 10 years. Allen goes above and beyond to take care of his customers and is always mindful of the cost to the customer. We also appreciate his communication regarding repairs needed as soon as he has diagnosed the problem. 2 out of my 3 kids moved to Iowa City and they still come back to Hermsen Automotive for all their car maintenance and repairs needs! A very trustworthy, reputable business!! On a road trip from NY to CO and had car troubles in Iowa. Found the closest automatic off the beaten path and thank god we found Hermsen! He helped us right away, found the issue, and fixed it immediately. Highly recommend you go to him! :)

I ve had Al help with me several vehicles off and on for over the last 10 years. Have been out of the area for the last 4 years. Today I had an issue with my exhaust and sent Al a text asking if he wouldn t mind taking a look. Drove to Tipton and not only did he confirm what the issue was, he squeezed me in and fixed the problem on the spot. Customer service is top notch. Will continue to call Al for any needs I have when I m in the area.Service: Exhaust

Hermsen truly goes above and beyond to help the customer. He has gone so far as to come to my house, pick up a wheel, take it back to his shop and replace the tire and brought it back and put it back on my truck. Now that is service and that's the reason I won't take my vehicles anywhere else.
