Power steering pump let go on my Dodge diesel going up I 35. No power steering no brakes. Pull off the interstate 3 hours from home. Someone at KwikStar suggests Craig's and I drop it off. I call him Monday and he says probably more than a week out. He calls me 4 days later and says it is ready. Great work and reasonably priced. Many thanks

Greatest place to go to get your car worked on. My husband and I refuse to go anywhere else to get our cars worked on. They found and fixed an issue we didn't even know we had on my Mazda, now it runs better than ever. Highly recommend.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

I was stranded on a Sunday night, and when I called at 8am Monday morning to ask the status of my car, I was told they probably wouldn't even be able to get to my car that day because of how busy they were. When I informed him I was stranded 3 hours away from home, he said he would see what he could do.My car was completely fixed and ready to be picked up before 11:30am.It was exemplary service, done well and done quickly. And the owner even offered to come pick me up from the Motel 8 in town and bring me to the shop so I could get my car.This shop made an absolutely awful situation a breeze to deal with, and I don't think I could have found a better shop *anywhere* else.

Craig Automotive gives the best quality service at an extremely reasonable price. I have taken both foreign and American-made cars to them, and they have been able to fix the issue in an timely manner every time. The Craig's are always willing to explain the issue so you can understand what is wrong, which I very much appreciate. I have been a customer for about 10 years now and I will continue to give them my service, because they run a quality business.

The guys at Craig Auto are the BEST! They are honest, hard working, family friendly and wonderful. I would recommend them to anyone in the Story City/Ames/Des Moines area!

Know what they're doing, won't rip you off, and have an easy schedule to get in on. Won't go anywhere else for car work beyond oil changes if I can help it.
