My car is always in good hands when I go to Jack Blackwell. Everything is done in an extremely timely manner. The atmosphere is laid back and casual. I mean it is an auto shop after all. I highly recommend this shop for all you vehicle repairs.

I will never take so much as a bicycle to this joke of a tire shop! They told me my tires were too big for my car...its just amazing that I took it to another tire shop and for a fraction of what these RIP off artists were going to charge me,(after I had smaller tires)The same tires magically are now on my car and the ride is perfect!Thankfully I'm not as stupid as they look when I tell this story to friends and family!

Good prices on tires. Very fast service. Kind of an odd place though. Security cameras everywhere. I get it in the office. But they are even in the waiting area! Gotta keep an eye on me watching tv or reading a newspaper I guess.

I've been talking my vehical to Blackwell Tire for many years and I've always been satisfied with their service. Curtis and his team are knowledgeable, honest and timely. When ever there had been a moment in which my vehical needed something they didn't feel comfortable doing, they were honest and gave me suggested places to take it. I've had both foreign and domestic vehicals and they work on all brands. I've also gotten many tires here and they can get you almost any brand or style of tire but have very good suggestions on what your looking for. They now have a nice expanded waiting area that has ample seating, a pop machine and restroom with newspaper and magazines galore. If your looking for an honest and knowledgeable mechanic in Ottumwa, stop by and let Blackwell Tire help you with everything from an oil change to new head gaskets!

It was very clear that Mr blackwell was not interested in servicing my vehicle. He did the bare minimum when it came to fixing my car. I shelled out almost $700 and now my check engine light is on (which by the way has never been on since I bought the car). I feel like I got played by a sleeze bag alley mechanic. It is my belief that my ethnicity prevented me from receiving some of that 5 star service that everybody's raving about. So, If you happen be a person of color. Blackwell might not be the shop for you.

Very professional and took the time to explain different options, rebates, and the warranty details. They also beat the other Ottumwa tire guys prices by about 30%.

The service is great and it's so fast. I have a 20 minute drive 1 way he changed the oil and I was home in less than an hour

Fast. Didnt clean the wheel inside, had slime. Too expensive. 16$ to mount a 13" lawnmower tire. Too expensive.
