We have had lots of issues with a new camper we purchased that is still under warranty. Even though Smith s didn t sell us the camper they have provided us excellent service and have gone out of their way to ensure the warranty work is taken care of in a timely fashion. We appreciate how they have gone the extra mile to help us. Kelli definitely made it easy for us.

If you are looking at anything winnebago. Drop everything and Stay away. The worst built towable you can possibly imagine. They present plenty of flashy amenities but nothing is built of quality. The customer service is an absolute nightmare to work with and they confidently wait untill your begging for help for literally years to tell you your camper is now "out of warranty." Trash quality and absolute trash customer service. Spend your money on a 48k tent before you even consider this brand.

Full-timer here. Had a leveling issue while we were down in Kentucky on our recently upgraded leveling system by Lippert. Trouble shot the issue to a blown motor (under warranty) and confirmed with Lippert Tech Support. When I called Smith's RV, knowing that we would be in Spirit Lake within a week, Kelli immediately asked for as much information as she could get because she wanted to make sure to have the motor on hand when we arrived. She then set up an appointment on the day we arrived in town and asked me to keep her informed on our arrival plans. Holy cow, this is EXACTLY what I was hoping for. I couldn't believe it.I called on the arrival day and let her know we would be in slightly earlier and she had her techs standing by. When we got there, Randall, who was super friendly, waved us in and within a few minutes, got to work. 20 minutes later, we were fixed. No delays, no issues...just honest awesome service!I can't say enough about this business. I love them! Great RV repair shops are hard to find and they've earned my continued business. As a full-time RVer, I need a go-to a shop to bring my rig in to, to get fixed and right the first time. I really feel this shop has what it takes. Thanks Kelli and all the awesome folks Shar and I met.

Great customer service. Extremely helpful. Only setback is little low on inventory, but right now everyone is so not anything they can control.

BEWARE of this business! Our daughter and son-in-law looked at the 2007 Laredo currently advertised. They put down a 'good faith' payment after looking at it in the dark last week. Corey lowered the price by almost $3000 so it was in their budget. Upon looking at it this past weekend in the daylight, MANY issues were found....although the buckled floor in the main room and the crack in the shower were already noted (and Corey promised to repair), no mention was made of the major rotten and damaged area in the rear panel of the living area. The carpet is discolored and we discovered upon inspection in the daylight that the whole rear area in the corner is 'squishy' and has MAJOR water damage.....thus, I'm sure, the discount in price.....Corey wanted to sell a lemon to an unsuspecting customer. When confronted with the problem, Corey's response was, 'well, I haven't been in there in awhile'....no apology, no effort to make things right, no nothing! I have NO doubt that he knew of the damage. Daughter and husband found a somewhat comparable unit on Smith's lot, 3 years newer, for a similar price, but Corey would not meet them halfway with a comparable discount. You would think he would be willing to make up for trying to sell them a piece of junk, by giving them a decent deal on something good, but no, he was arrogant saying, "if you don't want it, someone else will."STAY AWAY from Smith's if you have any good sense. This is supposed to have ZERO stars for review, but I wasn't able to adjust the default for it.

The professionalism here is unmatched. We ve contacted Camping World and Good Life for warranty work and they have no clue what they re doing. Smith s RV is the place to go - worth the drive no matter where you live. Kelli, Randy and the rest of the service department are extremely knowledgeable, kind and a pleasure to deal with. Don t let this small dealership fool you - they know their stuff.

If you can afford $130 an hour for labor, then this place is for you. Ask for Randy, who is friendly & will treat you right. We will have to find somewhere else to go because of the enormous labor charge. When parts are only a tad over $600 and our bill is over $2400, it's time to find another camper/ motorhome repair business. Sad deal.

Awful place. Had an appointment for a hitch, but they never ordered it. The lady said that she thought that I had a hitch. Anyway, she ordered a hitch and said they would get me right in. Lies. Never returned calls. Then was told that it would be a week because they had a more expensive job at the last minute. Plus ,they are about $500 more than others. Very unprofessional. Was told that I would get a call first thing this morning. It's noon.

We bought our heartland Bighorn fifth wheel in 2020While we love our camper that we bought at Smiths RV we are so disappointed in the service we have gottenWe have a structural crack above the bedroom slide and reported it as soon as we seen itWe only used the camper on weekends the first fall we had it a few times and really didn t have much in it.While waxing it last spring we noticed the crackSent pictures reported it to service department and they said they would have to send in to HeartlandWe never heard backNow fast forward we are still trying to get some answers on why we have a crack and who and when they can fix itHeartland wants a bizillion pictures of everything to frame , axles, springs, front , back side views and Now they want pictures of the weight tag on camper then we are to take it to certified scale and get it weighed with certification receipt to see if we have overloaded it! All of this is at our expense! We feel they are trying to stall us out of warrantyHave said they will only fix if they feel it is their fault otherwise it is our expense. If it is a weight issue then why not put triple axels on 45 ft campers like they do for toy hauler? We had a toy hauler that we traded for this camper and while we love the camper itself we are extremely disappointed in the way we are being given the runaround. If Heartland agrees to looking at it then we have to haul it to Indiana at OUR expense and then they will either fix it under warranty or charge us!Customer service from heartland and Smiths RV has been very disappointingNever buy from Heartland again

Let's talk about their RV service department-WOW!!! I've had RVs 22+ years...pull type trailers, class C & A motorhomes. I called them about 2 weeks prior to my first visit for some general info. I was so impressed that today when a service issue popped up, I called for an appointment. They said, "how about this afternoon?" I couldn't believe my ears. I showed up, and they repaired 4 issues within 2 hours. They were courteous, responsive, professional, efficient. I drove past 2 other dealers to get to them---glad I did!

I have a 4 year old Montana that had wall studs loose over the 5th wheel. Kelli in service contacted Keystone and after several back and forth emails, was able to get the repair covered by the manufacturer, even though the warranty had expired. As outstanding as that is, Smith's were not able to do the work so the effort put forth did not make the dealership a dime. Nevertheless, where most dealerships would have stopped before they even attempted to make the first call, Kelli did not. The staff at Smith's went above and beyond to help us out. Smith's will certainly have the first shot at any of our future RV purchases or repairs.

I enjoyed living there 6 months of the year but the senior manager was rude to me and my family so we had to sell my mobile home back to them which I received very little money back for after paying $14 grand. I enjoyed my time there and had activities planned in the summer. I hope he is happy now for this!

We bought a camper from here and no hassle buying. They were very prompt to help on a minor problem that we had when we got it home. Make sure before leaving with your camper to make sure everything works and to ask what the had to do when they did the PDI and if they found any concerns.

Very odd experience. Called in to express interest in a New unit they had for sale. Told them I had a camper to trade in. The salesman gave the impression that not only was he not interested in my trade-in (not shocking), but also selling me a travel trailer. Aren t dealerships suppose to be creative and make deals? Not here apparently. It was just odd to have a salesman make no attempt in selling me something.

This place is GREAT! Attention to detail like no other. I am VERY Satisfied.I ve been a camper enthusiast my entire life. Grew up camping with my family in a 1969 Camel (3 bed pop-up that was distributed by Montgomery Ward). I ve been researching and wanting an R-POD for a good part of the summer, but didn t want to pay new price. I came across a very clean, well cared for used one at Smith s. Problem is that I live 4 hours away in Dubuque, IA. I made the trip and I am glad I did.Kory is a smart 3rd generation dealer that knows his stuff. Obviously grew up around campers and exemplifies what good customer service is all about. He should write a book. He obviously holds himself and his team to some very high standards. One of their service guys, Ken, thoroughly walked me through the features of the unit and even taught me a couple of towing tricks.. Pretty impressive since I ve been towing campers my entire life. One of the things I hate about dealerships is the paper work. Michelle made the paperwork effortless. She made a copy of my ID and 10 minutes later I was signing papers. She was extremely personable and you can tell she cares! It s refreshing to come across a business of this caliber. First in class, and I will definitely make the voyage across Iowa again someday!

The best place there is around to buy a mobile home. They are very friendly, informational, helpful people. They check every little thing there is to make sure everything works for you when you buy your new mobile home. From mini pop-up campers to 5th wheels to the big ones you drive yourself, Smith's RVs is the place you want to go to fill your vacation traveling needs.

Took my van in to have the house battery checked out. I had installed it myself, and it wasn't charging correctly. The man working on it seemed to be as clueless as me, and "Randy," the other man he was constantly calling on for help, was too busy to pay any attention. Eventually, they got voltage to the house battery. Upon staring the van to leave, i realized that my check engine light was on. They used a diagnostic machine, but said that they were not a service shop and couldn't do anything about it. $135 later at another shop, I found that they had left a fuse out, disabling my transmission solenoids. Calling Smiths to ask about it, they blew me off. Totally unprofessional, never go here for any reason.

Salesperson wasn't interested in talking about a specific camper when ai told him I wouldn't be buying the used one that was there on display that day. He actually walked away when he was done talking with a couple that he knew left.

They have zero desire for customer retention, it seems. Chasing the quick buck with little respect for fixing the problems they sell. Proceed with caution.

Walked around for almost an hour with people who worked there just standing around, no one said a word to me even as I was going in and out of their campers. Must not need my business.
