The family and I have been coming to this facility for 3+ years. We love the breakfast and the amenities that AmericInn offers.It seems as though something has changed in the past year with this location. Not sure if it is ownership or managers, but it is aparent from the staff to the level of cleanliness.The staff this time seemed more like they were not happy. I had enjoyed the smiling welcoming staff of years before. It may have just been an off time for the one of the two employees I encountered on my 3 day stay.The one thing we love is that this hotel is nice and quiet. The pool is nice as well as the beds.Level of cleanliness has room for improvement and the offerings for breakfast have declined in variety, yet that may be that we are traveling in the off season.

Our only concern was a musty smell when we first entered the room. Other than that, a very enjoyable stay! Breakfast was fine but we felt it could be improved upon. We would certainly recommend the AmericInn at Okoboji...will stay there again!Rooms: Slight musty smell other than that, very nice, clean and comfortable. Adequate breakfast, nice indoor pool.Nearby activities: The location is perfect for a weekend or longer stay at the Lakes. Quiet, well kept near golf courses and all the main acivity sites at Okoboji. Very convenient!Noteworthy details: Will go there again!

Super clean, cute layout. It's not right on the lake, but it is relatively close. Friendly staff. If I had one minor complaint it would be that the water smells a lot like Comet (the cleaning product) and has a slight chemically taste, however I don't think that's a reflection of the hotel.I would definitely recommend it for a quiet, comfortable stay.

Rooms were nice, seem to have been renovated in the past probably 10 years. Slightly dirty in certain overlooked spots such as above the windows and inside the door frame. Breakfast was spectacular; waffles, cereal, yogurt, Bagels, fruit, juice, coffee. Seem to have had a new worker training and she was a little slow but still pleasant. Pool and hot tub were open, clean and functional. Nice patio set outside with firepits.Our favorite part was the location. Close to everything we were wanting to do. A few minutes drive to Arnold's park and even less if you just wanted to go to the boji store. Easy to find too, as it's on the main highway running through town.

Room and commons areas are clean and well maintained. Nice whirlpool in the room. Staff was polite, helpful, and quick to respond. Very good breakfast included. Unbelievable how loud the pipes were when neighboring rooms would run water, at least in the room we stayed. Overall, a positive experience for us to get away to.

A rather nice hotel in a great location. The rooms and halls are warm and inviting and the double queen room is spacious for the rate. The room was pretty well cleaned though we did find some popcorn next to the bed upon our arrival. Our television would not reduce volume below seven with a fully functioning remote, a minor but annoying inconvenience. Front desk was friendly and helpful and the continental breakfast had a decent spread. Overall I would stay again.

I rented the party room on Saturday December 11th. I got there at 930am and left at 700pm. I have never seen such nice and pleasant staff at any motel as I seen that day. I talked with 2 ladies. One in the morning and 1 in the afternoon working at the desk. They were so kind and so pleasant. I was very impresses and wanted to let you know this. Because of these two ladies I would recommend your motel to many many people. I also would stay there myself. I did not get their names but want to give them kudos for their kindness. Me and my entire family will be back. I would love you to give kudos to these two ladies. They were amazing.

The hotel was clean and quiet. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was the typical hotel breakfast but everything tasted good. Our room had a back door that let out to a large yard with a paved trail that led into a golf course...not a long walk but was nice after our dinner. We also used the pool and it was nice and clean too.

Absolutely amazing service! We got in late and Jackie was up front with a smile and ready to check us in! Room was actually clean (hard to find nowadays) and the breakfast in the morning, the breakfast attendant/morning front desk lady (we forgot her name, short blonde) was friendly and helpful as well! Next time we come to Okoboji we will be staying here for sure thanks to these two lovely ladies!

Clean hotel with a friendly and helpful staff were able to accommodate our needs while in town for a friend's wedding. The rooms were nicely appointed with soft sheets and pillows. The included breakfast is standard fare, but tasted delicious. Recommended for families or couples.

While I was in the hot tub a guy came in at 8:15 a.m. saying he has to clean it and I would have to get out. To bad they couldn't plan ahead and at least had a note up the night before so I could have got in it earlier. Very disappointing .FYI this hotel only offers bar soap and not shower gel.

Stayed at this hotel as a group for a family reunion. Rooms are nice and facilities are nice. Unfortunately, we like to socialize and get as much out of the weekend as possible. Every night our family members were told that quiet hours start at 10 and that we need to move out of the common area. Our family makes up 75% of the hotel on this weekend. Rude.

This is what I would call a standard 2-3 star hotel. It's not overly fancy, but it is nice and clean. The staff was super friendly. The rooms aren't super cramped like in cheaper hotels. All the furniture is great and the beds are comfy. Location is good right on the highway. Definitely recommend this if you are in town and don't want to stay right on the lake.

The only problem is there is NO elevator to the 2nd floor. Be prepared to carry everything up a long flight of stairs if your room is not on the 1st floor.Noteworthy details: The breakfast buffet was better than average. The staff was very nice and friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room was large enough. Still, the issue was no elevator to the 2nd floor & no rooms left on the 1st floor for us.

This hotel in the Okoboji area was outstanding in every way, including service, facilities, comfort, and location! I highly recommend it! Ask for Shannon or Alexis to receive amazing professionalism!Rooms: The beds were so comfortable!Nearby activities: Pickleball at Speier Park was awesome!Noteworthy details: The pool, spa, and sauna were awesome!
