We stopped in the Marshalltown location today for new wiper blades. Zane I. immediately greeted us both as we walked in and offered to help us find the right wipers. Zane offered several options/price points - and explained the warranty/replacement program. After we completed our transaction at the register, Zane proactively offered to help us replace our old, worn and tattered wipers with the new set we had just purchased. We readily accepted his help - and in just a few mins, both wipers had been replaced and we were on our way. Outstanding customer service today - really wowed by Zane!

After visiting the store today and yesterday. I can honestly tell you, I feel so much better going to this store now that there is a new GM. I meet with her due to having an issue with my account and what ever the last GM and crew did. The girl with purple hair pulled the gm from the back from replenishing the oil area. My issue battery was on the account but it was already returned not warranty out but someone got in my account and returned it. I bought it back of aug of last year. Anyways The GM allowed me to warranty it out and was as kind as can be and created me a new account . Both young ladys knew what they was doing. The communication and full answers to one another was a good sight to see. Advance Auto your moving back up in my world. Thank you ladys

Absolutely terrible service. I been there twice and they didn t know anything related to cars. They have dumb kids who don t know a thing working. I bought a part with cash and refunded the part and they couldn t give me all my cash back only part and a gift card. The owner is a slob and couldn t help out. Sits in her office and doesn t come out even when there is 10 people in line and 1 cashier. They didn t have any parts in the store. Dont recommend never go there again!

Has the nicest people. Asked to talk to GM about a problem with a part i purchase. Beth was kind to stop stocking when i asked for GM. She was prompt.Was able to solve problem. I asked her to use computer tool for another issue. She wrote down my code. Even nice to help me understand what code was meaning. Bought a o2 Sensor. Thank you

This place is absolute garbage, bout an item and it was wrong, brought it back an hr later and wouldnt return it without receipt, then i finally found the receipt and they wouldnt return it cause it was more than 45 days from purchase. Suggest if u want a reputable parts store without the hassle and headache go to orileys this place is worthless.

Last night 8:09pm 7/7/2023, I drove 45 minutes to get a part I desperately needed before they closed. By Google they were the only place open until 9pm. When I arrived the lights were on, doors locked and no one around . The garbage can out front was over following with trash. I called several times only to be answered and hung up on. Luckily my wife saved the day called their competitor O'Reilly. Google was wrong they were open. And I got what I needed. There wasn't garbage all over the place either. I won't even consider stopping by again at advance auto.

Waited for almost ten minutes being ignored by an employee stocking while the other was helping a customer outside. Ended up just leaving and going elsewhere for help.

I am in the middle of a cross country drive and had been having issues with overheating for hours. I finally found this Advanced location and was warmly greeted by the associate Shannon. He took the time to listen and offered me many possible solutions. After going through the options we decided on one and I proceeded to work. Shannon was ready to help with anything to make the job easier. Fantastic guy and I really appreciate his help. Solid 5

I ve never been to a place with such friendly staff and ones that really care about their customers! To top it off, they always give additional lower prices on items just to show they want your business!!! I m talking $15-$20 off they will give you extra on items, just to price match a competitor and make their items price that much cheaper!!!! Awesome place and will always do my business here!! Keep up the good work, team!

I was having problems breaking a bolt loose so I could change my battery, they not only broke the bolt loose for me but they changed my battery out for me. It's nice to know they will help you the best that they can. For a woman who doesn't have alot of strength, it's a sigh of relief.

I brought in my starter to have it tested and see if I needed a new one. Josh hooked it up to the machine for me and it didn't sound healthy at all. Time for a replacement. I was able to get a reman unit for a decent price ($84), and it came the next day. I have nothing to complain about, and I would shop here again. I have had great experiences with Advance in other locations before, which is why I chose to try them here. I was not disappointed.

"Never " wanted to obtain a job and worked for Advanced Auto Parts they wanted a translator, after I found out what I was going to work with (coustomer s) I know Spanish and English. No other languages. In life personal time and family time is private and reserved.

We were buying a battery there so they'd install it. When I said that I needed it installed, the clerk ignored me. As he was ringing it up, he said I'd get $22 back when I turned in the old battery. I said again I wanted installation. He said, "I'm not doing that. It could take 30 minutes and I'm not standing in the cold for that long." Thankfully, O'Reilly Auto Parts was happy to do the TEN MINUTE job and take our money. Now we know just how much better O'Reilly is! Thanks Advance Auto!!

Great people here who actually know about auto care! They also enjoy helping get people out of a jam. I've been to those "other guys", but they just don't provide the knowledge and service of Advance!

Stood at counter forever waiting. Finally someone actually spoke to me, said someone else would have to help me, they asked me what I needed, then turned and walked away. Never returned. I waited another 10 minutes or more! Total time there was probably 30 minutes. I needed a fuse for my car seat.

They usually have what you need. Prices a tad high, but not terrible. Customer service is a little lacking until you get someone's attention.

Smart people, automotively speaking. Friendly staff. The store is always busy. You'll get a better price on things like fluids and shop supplies from Walmart though.

Great knowledgeable staff , they have helped me a lot on big jobs as well as small . There prices are very competitive . From tools to parts and also advice , they have it or they can get it.

Alan is rude! He is not customer service at all! Did everything with bad attitude! I swear if people dislike their jobs they need to find another one!
