I have to say that the reviews must be by friends and relatives because my son and I both had major work done on both our vehicles and they failed to put coolant in a radiator change causing a new engine put in my son's car to overheat again another two times and his car a month later is still in the shop. The owner is rude beyond rude telling me I need help after lying to my face accusing me of dismantling my own car and not putting it back together correctly when I called immediately when I picked it up that day and called to complain my car kept needing to be jumped for a faulty battery I had the dealership that changed my battery put a new one since it was under warranty but it didn't mean that Car Care on 3rd Ave didn't put my car back together inside with the side paneling all off on the passenger side and the shifter with the fabric off I told them they didn't put it back correctly and they said I had to make an appointment to get it put together. Now 3 weeks later my car is slipping from automatic to manual while I'm driving and the owner tells me nobody ever was inside my car for a tuneup and I never called to complain how they didn't put my car back together correctly and I need mental help , yes the owner Matt told me this over the phone now and wanted more money for a job he never fixed my car to be like new as he said or my son's that he put an entire new engine and now a radiator because my parents who are elderly can't see over $3000 in less than 2 months on 2 cars they still haven't fixed or even acknowledge what they did at all trying to blame the customer for things they do to keep milking money from unsuspecting people like retired fixed income parents trying to help their grandson and daughter out after a difficult job loss and identity theft that left us without money or compensation for being victims of bank fraud and money laundering left me without means to pay for my vehicle to be fixed in order to be able to drive to work and same for my son who has my dad driving him to Des Moines everyday for work while 3rd Ave Car Credit sits on their chairs telling me to take them to court if I don't like it or go get mental help and nothing done over a month later but more problems with my son's car they talked my dad into paying them $2200 up front for a rebuilt engine and to ignore me to junk the car and buy a new one for that amount. Now they have my dad in for almost $4000 in a vehicle that in good working condition is only worth $2500 and my vehicle having transmission problems it never has before and they didn't even put my car back together correctly so it looks like they actually messed my car up on purpose and the owner tells me it came to them that way when I know it did not and so does the tow truck driver for Larry's Towing but the owner Matt and the guy Dan who worked on my car calls me mental and the tow truck driver a liar when the mental illness from sociopathic lying is the owner Matt at 3rd Ave Car Care in Marshalltown and these fake reviews he tells me to take him to court and you know what ? Small claims court is up to $3000. He charged me $750 and if he messed up my transmission that's another $3000 I will gladly take Matt to court on like he threatened me to do, but don't believe these fake reviews from his friends and family. Believe mine and what Iowa Courts Online says about this company and the Attorney General of Iowa and BBB when I finish showing Matt not to threaten me or call me the liar when he talked to me himself. Dianna Ralston Crosser on behalf of my parents Bob & Olga Ralston who paid to have the work done on my son's vehicle and mine and it's still not working for either of our cars after going here.

They did a great job replacing transmission cooling tubing. Fast and very reasonable. Highly recommend.

We have had 3rd Avenue work on a number of issues on car, truck, and SUV.
