Baxter Cycle provides attentive service and quality customer care. I bought my first new motorcycle (Triumph Speedmaster) there and they made the process truly pleasant. I am so glad I found them after my local Triumph dealer gave me a bad experience. So worth the extra drive to deal with people who are passionate about getting you on the motorcycle you want.

Well they got me again, Mark gave me a deal hard to pass up on this beautiful Speed Triple RR. Couldn t recommend this dealership enough, I d rather come to Baxter than some other dealers in Des Moines! Definitely worth the trip. Thanks again Mark!

I love this place! The best dealership experience I have ever had! I felt right at home, very much at home. The people here are true motorcycle people, they love everything about motorcycles. This is a no pressure sales environment, no tricks, gimmicks, just straight dealing. The service is just as good too. If you are a vintage Brit bike enthusiast, this is the place, I have never seen so many for sale in one place! This is Mecca for the Royal Enfield rider, they have a large stock of new and used bikes. If there is a accessory you need for your RE, they most likely have it.

I had been to some other RE dealerships prior to making the trek from northeast IA to Marne and can t be more happy that I did and bought my Himalayan from them. The fact that there s this awesome place in the middle of nowhere to go to buy some of the coolest motorcycles from some of the nicest people who genuinely just want everyone to be happy will unexpectedly make this a special part of my new bike. Thanks, Mark, Jeremy and everyone else there that make Baxter Cycles a diamond in the rough. Made me realize how little true customer care is left out there.

This place is a jewel. They have an amazing collection of vintage bikes as well as great new and used British and Indian bikes. I have bought two motorcycles from them, and both times they were great to work with. Mark helped me test ride several bikes, and after I bought the first bike (a Classic 350) Jeremy was very helpful when I had a question about it. They delivered the bikes from Marne to my home in Des Moines (for free! on a Friday night!), and they picked them up (for free!) when I needed them serviced. Add to all this the fact that they are swell guys, and you have a five-star motorcycle shop. I am a loyal customer.

Recently bought an Interceptor 650 here and can't say enough good things. Had been to a few dealers, and while the others were nice enough, these folks seem to have a real passion for motorcycles and the culture surrounding riding. Jeremy, Mike, and Bailey specifically made it a great visit to the shop. On top of purchasing the bike and them making sure I knew their services were available (pick up and delivery free of charge), they sent a nice little welcome package a week or so after my visit. It included a nice letter from them, thanking me for my business, and some cool Royal Enfield swag.Very appreciative of them and recommend others make the drive to see this shop. *Cool bonus is all the vintage/antique bikes they have! Very cool history there.

I can't say enough good things about this place. Jeremy and Mark made me feel right at home when I arrived after hours even going as far as getting me sorted with a hotel accommodation and feeding me pizza when my flight was delayed. I purchased a Himalayan and rode it 1000 miles back down to Georgia and fell in love with the bike! I would recommend anyone looking to purchase a Royal Enfield to do so with these guys. You would become part of a family of enthusiasts. I will be revisiting Baxter Cycles in the future. Thanks, guys for everything!

For anyone who remembers the pure fun and enjoyment of riding a motorcycle as a kid, I would strongly suggest you visit the fine folks at Baxter Cycle in Marne. My brother and I are "60-something" lifelong motorcycle riders. We have purchased 20 motorcycles between the two of us since age 14.Yes, we mostly rode and enjoyed Harley's over the years. As of last fall, my brother hadn't owned a bike for several years and I went my first full summer without a bike in over 40 years. In October, we decided maybe it's time to look at bikes again. My goal was something different than HD. I found a Triumph online at Baxter's so we made the 2+ hour drive to Marne. From the people answering the phones, to the sales, parts and service people, everyone was friendly and genuinely happy to see us - as if we were long-time customers! After a test ride, along with some excellent insight from Fuzzy Biker, I purchased the Triumph. The transaction with Jeremy was straight forward and to the point. The plan was for me to come back that weekend and pick up my new ride. This is the best part of the day, after driving the Triumph I also test drove the Royal Enfield 350 Meteor. Upon my return, my brother could see my ear-to-ear grin - this 350 took me back to my youth. At this time, my brother had not renewed his motorcycle driver's license so he didn't drive the 350. It was obvious, my test drive of the 350 peaked my brother's interest, so much so, he worked a deal with Jeremy on the phone for the 350 - without even a test drive. We left Marne with 2 motorcycles!Fast forward to March, my brother is excited to see online the Royal Enfield 650 Super Meteor that was a "Baxter Custom". Again, he worked a fair deal with Jeremy on the phone so went back to Marne. When we arrived, the Royal Enfield rep was at Baxter's, with many driving the new Shotgun, including Fuzzy Biker. During the excitement of people test driving the Shotgun, the enthusiasm caught up with me; I test drove the Super Meteor, Celestial model. We drove away with my brother's new bike. During the trip home, it was now me thinking about my options. I reached out to Mark and Jeremy the next day; within 24 hours we worked a trade for my new ride. The people at Baxter's LOVE motorcycles, they are knowledgeable, engaging and willing to answer any question you have - with absolutely no pressure to buy. This approach is rare in today's retail world. Need a bike or not, take some time to visit Baxter Cycle in wonderful Marne, Iowa...WAHOO!

Mark and Jeremy helped me with the process for purchasing a Triumph Street Scrambler from out of state. The entire team made the process seamless and efficient and were there every step of the way from purchase to delivery. Mark was prompt in answering emails and communicating throughout the entire journey. I would highly recommend them for any of your British motorcycle needs!

Baxter Cycle is a terrific motorcycle shop. To date I have only purchased items online but one day I hope to visit the shop. Baxter has a great assortment of Triumphs and Royal Enfields, my two favourite motobikes. So I enjoy looking at the new inventory on their website. They have a good selection of Bonnies: T100s, T120s, Bobbers, and Speed Twins. They also have Speed Triples and Tridents but it's the Bonnies that I love. When I am visiting the site I often peruse the Pre-Owned section. They always have a lot of Triumphs and Enfields there and if I had more money...Before moving on to apparel and kitsch I always check out the Vintage bike section. Here is where you'll find some real treasures: BSA, Enfield, Norton and of course Triumph. I really appreciate the fact that Baxter is keeping the ethos and spirit of British motorcycling alive. The Customers' Bikes section is fun as well. I'm hoping they'll let me upload a shot of my Bonnie T100 even though I bought it in New Jersey! Speaking of my bike - like any 65-year-old kid I love motorcycle kitsch and so I buy pins for my riding leather and ball caps from Baxter. My favourite is the pewter Triumph pin that features the Bloor (modern) logo. The pin is very nice and, equally important, it's a double pin back type. It's a pet peeve that so many biker pins have only one prong and so spin around on my jacket. The double prong Triumph pin is not only beautiful but it stays put. Outstanding! Lastly, Baxter has a great selection of parts for vintage bikes. If you haven't visited the site you don't know what you're missing. BTW sometimes mistakes are made when filling an online order, it's true of any vendor, so I'd like to mention in closing that if an error occurs Baxter staff are all over making it right ASAP (thanks Cara!) Baxter Cycle is a five star shop in my view and visiting the shop in person is a bucket list item. Ride Safe and Ride On Baxter Cycle!

Always a good trip to baxter. Plenty of cool vintage bakes to look over in the back room. A nice showroom for both Triumph and Royal Enfield motorcycles. As always, great service to top it off.

120miles west of De Moine on the I-80 you ll see the exit for the little town of Marne IA. Baxter Cycle is a cycle shop from the past. When people were passionate about the things they sold. I ve been to many bike shops ,none have swept me back to sixties and seventies as this place did. When I walked in I was promptly greeted by Mr .Baxter himself. I told him I saw a bike online ( did a google search just like many of you re doing right now). I instantly knew this was someone passionate about old British iron. I didn t even have to ask for a test ride, he offered. He said, while I m getting in outside I have something to show you. He took me through the parts room ,stacked floor to ceiling with every old part imaginable,to the back showroom. I was in British bike nirvana! Rows and rows of BSA s ,Norton s, Royal Enfields, Triumph s . Even and old Ariel and a 1940 WW2 BSA. I was on overload. When I was done there, I was introduced to Mark and I filled out a form and he made sure my bike was ready and I went for my ride. My ride was on a RE Classic 500, which are now discontinued. It was quirky, clunky and damnit ,for 7 miles I felt like Steve McQueen!I own a Honda Africa Twin and it s a great bike ,but that 500 gave me a smile bigger than a Chestshire cat.Even though I can t pull the trigger on that bike right now and Mark knew it we went back out to the old showroom and just stood in the middle of those old bikes and talked about our favorites. So what I m saying is, I drove 120 miles to go all the way out there, heck I d drive 1200 miles just to be treated and experience how Baxter Cycle treats people. I told Mark, family owned businesses that actually treat people like family are a rarity now days, just as rare as some of those bikes, don t ever change that.If you re thinking about buying a Royal Enfield or Triumph and want to be treated like family and not just a walking wallet, check them out. It s a nice drive out there. And if you need hard to find parts, they have those too.

I bought a 2014 triumph trophy from these guys through eBay. they shipped the bike to me with bad brakes and a leaking differential. Jeremy(owner) sent me all the brake parts(2 front rotors, pads, bolts. one rear rotor, bolts but no rear pads) except rear shoes. He wont return my emails now. My differential leak was never fixed. Now I'm stuck with a bike that I have to do the work on myself to make the brakes right and keep adding fluid to the rear. I also have to buy the pads to complete the job. I am looking at a differential replacement of $2500. Buyer beware, have the bike inspected immediately, or they will stick you with your own repairs. Also, bike was to come with new tires, but tires were severely worn and cupped..

One of the best dealerships I've had the pleasure of purchasing a bike through. I worked with Mark, who was very professional and friendly, he made the whole process super easy and stress free. We drove a little over 2 1/2 hours to get there and they gave us the grand tour an man do they have quite the collection! Thanks again Mark, I cant wait for warmer weather to put miles on the new street triple!

If you have a 2016 and up Triumph (They are made in Malaysia now by the way and their prices keep going up) take it to another dealership if you need anything more than a oil change.

I live over 200 miles from Marne, IA but due to the reviews I've read and the endorsement of "Fuzzy Biker" of the YouTube channel Forgotten Motorcycles, they were my dealer of choice. Fortunately, they were also the dealer who had one of the two colors of Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle I was looking for, Rock Red or Gravel Grey. I purchased the Rock Red.Everything I heard about the dealership was true from my first call to my departing handshake an hour past closing time. I had called and asked if the bike I wanted was still for sale. It was and when I explained where I was coming from, they told me they would hold the bike and the dealership open for me.I arrived 20 minutes before closing with my son, and his truck. We met Jeremy, my salesman, who was everything I had heard. A friendly face with an Infectious Enthusiasm and Knowledge of everything motorcycles. We were given history and tutorial about the bike I was purchasing, followed by test rides by my son and I (first time I've been back on a motorcycle in 43 years). Jeremy helped me pick out a CE rated jacket and led me to the sales office to quickly fill out and pay for the bike. The after purchase experience was not shocking either. It was well past 5 pm closing and Jeremy showed us his Himalayan and we talked Royal Enfield and Triumph motorcycles for quite a while. It was after 6 pm when we left. I will be back to buy a Royal Enfield Int650 (Interceptor) and maybe a vintage bike too someday soon. This is a great place to purchase your next motorcycle.

If there s a better motorcycle dealership in business I haven t seen it. Bought a new Royal Enfield Himalayan two years ago in a seamless, painless transaction. Recently was back out for warranty work that was more of the same. Top notch service and a healthy inventory of bikes. Also, the vintage motorcycle collection is not to be missed!

Frequented Baxter Cycle during my years in Iowa. Happy to make a return trip up to the shop from KC recently after finding the perfect bike online. Jeremy and Mark made it the most painless purchase ever! Excited for the opportunity to purchase an amazing bike from an iconic shop! Passion, expertise, and fair dealing, is what you will find at Baxter Cycle!

2021 Update: Thank goodness for Baxter Cycle, their helpful staff and their extensive parts inventory! I needed some carb parts and other parts for my '02 Triumph Thunderbird (w/70k miles). Called'em up, all parts were in stock, and the next day the parts were on their way from Iowa to Oregon. They've been a big help over the years to keep me on the road.

Your facility and staff are fantastic. After 5 minutes of walking in my wife and I forgot we were at a dealership, but rather a family shop full of motorcycles. I can t say enough good things about our experience, from test drive to final purchase. Thank you Mark and Jeremy.

A dealer that actually seems to care about their customers is hard to find these days but Baxter Cycle is just that. Many thanks for the prompt shipping on the part I ordered, beat my local RE dealer by about a week and a half and the bike is running again!

This place is absolutely amazing. From the minute I walked in I felt comfortable and welcome. It was my first street bike buying experience and I can not say enough good things about the employees at Baxter Cycle. Test riding motorcycles here feels more like you are hanging with good friends trying out everyone's bike. Plus the showroom is second to none. When you stop by, please give your self at least a few hours, you are going to need it.I left for the trip there whining that they were an hours drive from me. On the way home, I felt so fortunate that they were only an hours drive from me.2015 RE Continental GT535
