So glad I brought my vehicle here!!! Highly recommend! Came here after we fixed my car and if it had not been for a bad ford part (from the dealer) we would have. Thankfully we called metro transmission. They replaced the bad brand new part and had me back up and running same day. Thank you guys SO much! I know exactly where to go should I need you again. Have a blessed one! Appreciate you!

After a terrible experience with a local Ford dealer, I had my daughters car towed to Metro to have the transmission replaced. Not only was the bill in the end $1300 less, they managed to beat the dealer quote while adding $600 in repairs not included by the dealer. Steve explained the repairs and gave me an anticipated time line for completion when we dropped the car off. I was kept up to date with the progress and was even given a few things to watch with this generation of Escape. I hope not to need Metros services in the future with any of our vehicles, but if I do they will be my first call.

Had major work done on my car. They kept me notified about parts, prices, and the length of time it would approximately take. Both very professional and friendly. I could not be happier and would highly recommend them.

Honestly metro is my new go to shop. Had an oil change somewhere else and they told me hey you need all this stuff replaced under your car it's going to cost so and so...end up going to metro for random other reasons and ask him about it while I'm there and he pulls my car up and shows me why that's not true and that I don't need all those things. And proceeded to fix my other problems as well for a reasonable price. Honest, reasonable priced, and fast good service.

Friendly service, I thought I had a transmission issue and they did a few tests and helped rule that out! Thank you for the honesty and quick diagnosis!

I will not be taking my car here ever again. I called in the morning to have my car towed in to replace a broken belt. The website said they have free local towing. I was told on the phone that they stopped doing that because of gas prices going up. They need to remove that from their website. Tim said he would contact and send a tow truck. He did not say there would be a charge. The tow truck arrived about an hour later. I rode with the driver to the repair shop. If he had told me he was going to charge me for the tow, I would have called for the tow myself. I have roadside assistance on my insurance and it would have been covered. When the repair was done, he had charged me $95 for the tow, $100 for labor and diagnostic (which I was not told about beforehand), $50 for the belt (which I could of bought myself for half that) and $8 to top off the antifreeze. I had just checked the fluid levels last week, they were all fine, but I think some did leak out when the belt broke. It cost me $270 to replace 1 belt I could have bought myself and had put on somewhere else and probably cost less than $100 for part and labor. It was only a broken belt. They didn't need to do a expensive unnecessary diagnostic. A person just can't find decent, honest mechanic anymore. Just about all repair shops inflate their prices and charge way too much for parts and labor and unneeded repairs.

I purchased a car from Tim, i would highly recommend him to family and friends! He was fair priced easy to work with. The car was the best used car I ve ever purchased only got rid of it to purchase something bigger.

I bought a 2006 Ford Escape from here and I love this car so much. I am so happy with my purchase. Prices are fair and I cannot express how helpful the service was. I specifically bought the car from Tim and he was great I dont have a single complaint about him but everyone i interacted with there was very friendly and helpful!

We bought a Prius 9 months ago. They had a new EV battery installed, and it was under warranty. Tim saw to it that everything was taken care of when the battery went dead. He even went the extra mile to try to get our labor costs reimbursed also. We would buy from him again. We would also recommend him to our friends.

We bought a great car at a fair price from here. Saw it on Craigslist. It had a repair history and they were up front about that and another minor known issue. We pointed out that the wiper blades were unserviceable and before we picked it up, it had new wipers, the good kind. I mentioned this place to collegues at work and they said they also heard good things about them. A+ for integrity.

I have been using Metro since I had my first transmission issues with a Bravada in 2004. Since then they are the only ones I trust to give me advice and run all regular maintenance and repairs on my vehicles. They shoot it straight and they tell you what needs to be done, what can wait and what may not even be there. One of the other reviews talked about getting a second opinion from another repair place. I did the same thing with a suspension issue that was brought to my attention by a tire place that wanted to fix a situation for me for $1,100. Took it to Metro (because they are the only ones I trust) and they said they did not see a problem with the suspension in that area. AND they have kept an eye on it ever since when I do my routine maintenance on my car. These guys are pleasant, they care and they shoot it straight. I thought that was worth telling others about.

Will be taking them to court over damages and further repair cost. Took 2002 Lincoln LS in for transmission rebuild we had to take it back 6 times, last time we received the car back the traction control module is malfunctioning along with the same transmission issue it was initially brought in for. They never contacted us to inform us of the new issue . Refused to give a detailed invoice of the work done. When returned for a 7th time the sent the car to CR transmission for the transmission work and refused to look at the traction control module. We will be contacting a lawyer and suing in small claims court.

I have taken my vehicle in twice once because I was told I needed a transaxle repair, and the second time because I was told that I needed a cv half shaft. Metro looked the vehicle over both times and could not find issues with the parts and told me I did not need any repairs. I have had my two vehicles serviced there before and repaired and have been pleased with the quality and the cost of the repair. I have even purchased a used car from him he was very honest about what I was getting and gave me a fair deal.

My 16 year old son just purchased his first car here and we had the best experience. Tim cared about the car he sold us and wanted my son to have the best experience at buying his first car. Top Notch.

I had my transmission fail on my car and took it to Metro Transmission in Cedar Rapids, IA. They took 4 days to figure out what was wrong with it, and when I did get the car back it still didn't work right. They also gave my car back to me without any fluid in the radiator!! A paying customer shouldn't have to recheck their vehicle after getting it back from a repair shop. Poor communication and poor service. I would not recommend this shop to anyone.

These guy are the kind of people that leave out important details and then ask you to make a decision without good information. If you need help with your law suit I will be happy to testify and remember one star is the least you can give.

I would not recommend this place. Took my mountaineer in for a transmission issue. They rebuilt the transmission and I've had issues with it ever since. Now I end up paying to have it fixed again.
