CEL came on suddenly and for a couple days I drove it around. Everything seemed normal till it wasn t. I ended up having to be towed in. I looked around for a shop in Marion and decided on Hubbel s. I m glad I did. Got me back on the road quickly. I will be taking my vehicles there from now on.

Best place to uave you vehicle worked on. They give you realistic quotes and don't charge you labor based on what the "computer" says. You pay for the time they actually work on your vehicle. Amazing place of business.

Stopped in today on my Cadillac Escalade 2010 to check oil leak. Owner was inspected and was honest and very helpful. Advised me not to put more money into this vehicle (240,000 miles). The amount of $$ to repair will only be a band-aid for future problems. Really appreciate the honesty and help I received. They easily could have racked up some hefty bills. Shopping for new vehicle.

Long review ahead but worth the read:We been taking my husband s car here since we moved to Marion in 2020 and generally had good experiences. My husbands car needed all new brake pads, rotors, rear calipers and a complete flush of all fluid systems. We called Hubbell and they quoted us somewhere around $1,200 dollars. We had the service completed with them in April of 2023 for a grand total of $1,366.04. When we got the car back, everything seemed fine but about a week after the service was completed we started hearing a grinding noise. My husband called and told them what he was hearing and they told him to bring the car in and they would look at it and listen for it. We took the car in, one of the workers drove it around and said they didn t hear any noise. They told us to bring it back if we start hearing it again. Within the next day or two my husband was hearing the grinding noise again. We called and whoever he talked to said it could be the new brake pads wearing in. It wasn t happening every time he braked so we tried to give them time to wear in. The grinding noise would get progressively worse over time and finally in at the beginning of November the noise was happening every time we would brake and was extremely loud. We called Hubbell to see if they would look at it and listen for it, they told us to bring it in and found the front brake pads needed replaced again and gave the explanation of sometimes they are faulty from the factory. So they replaced the two front brake pads and didn t charge us, saying the pads were under warranty but did charge us for the labor totaling $154.91. Their reasoning for having to charge us for the labor was because the service was past the 90 days of the original date in April 2023. So even though we brought his car back after the service, were told whoever drove it didn t hear anything, and then when we called the second time to say we still heard the noise after their mechanic did not, and were told it s the brake pads wearing in it s somehow our responsibility for the cost of labor even though we brought it back like they asked and even called a second time to ask what to do. Apparently Hubbell doesn t stand behind their work or their word? We won t be coming back to support this small business, and I would recommend finding somewhere else if your car needs a lot of work and costs a lot of money, because you may end up spending more when something isn t right. You d think after spending over $1300 hundred dollars, they d stand by their work but I guess not.

My first time coming to Hubbell's. I came in for a 2nd opinion on my belt and pulley issue. No BS. Dropped it off the night before the work was scheduled and it was done at 9:30am the next day! They even fixed my exhaust too! I was not expecting such a fair price on the parts & labor as well! I will be back!! Total PROS!!

This place is great, the guys are wonderful and very understanding. One of the guys even went in on a Saturday to put my keys in my truck so I could have it, beings I missed the call on Friday. They are simply the best.

I have had my vehicle in there 2 Or 3 times for brake service, resulting with total brake failure leaving me stranded. Had to take it somewhere else and have pictures to back up this statement. They also called 3 days after this post saying my car was never in there that many times, but the invoices, that have been paid, is overwhelming evidence.

I'm not leaving my name or my car info on what was done. I just know this place deserves my low review after the initial damage they did to my mother's vehicle. Trying to cover it up by saying, "we are not resonsible for additional damages" is pure B.S. I gave them a little short description on what was wrong, and the repair should of been a piece of cake. They had to dramatically take apart my car, just to get to the root of the problem, which wasn't necessary. Why on Earth do you need to remove other parts on a vehicle, just to access a certain area of a car that's obvious to reach? That's what car lifts are for! Are you telling me this place doesn't have a car lift?? Or are you literally that desperate to cause road hazards for drivers?? I'm never coming back. End of story.

Highly recommended going here if you re looking for a good honest mechanic. Especially being a woman, I tend to have people trying to rip me off. Not here. My engine went out in my Honda. They were very honest with me and told me it wasn t worth putting all that money into. They could ve easily ripped me off, but instead they told me the truth and didn t charge me dime! Will definitely recommend Hubbell s to anyone who is looking to have their car repaired or maintained!

Highly knowledgeable and responsive, Hubbell's took great care of me right when I needed them most. The were in my driveway pulling my dead car from my garage within an hour of speaking to them on the phone. They contacted me immediately once they diagnosed the issue. The final bill was very competitively priced. They earned a new and loyal customer.

I took my car in to repair what I thought would be a very expensive oil leak repair. They checked it out and it was very minor problem, they just fixed it at no charge. I am so grateful for their honesty. They have been working on our cars for eight years and I trust them 100%.

I have taken my car here several times and never had a problem! When the switchboard for the windows on my 2001 Lexus went bad, brand new ones were going to cost me upwards of $1,000! The guys at Hubbell found ones at the local junkyard for around $100 and asked if I would want those instead since it wasn t worth throwing a grand on my old 2001! Very kind employees and I ve never felt like they over charged me

Dead battery on my 2005 Chevy Uplander van. Was told they were very busy, could be three days b-4 get to it. Jump started and left it there same day in a.m. About 3 p.m. they called, said it was done! Not saying everyone can be taken care of this fast, just extreamly impressed by my service/experiance, both this one and in the past. Fully recommend this business for service on used vehicles!Service: General repairs & maintenance

If I could leave half a star I would. I would never take anything to Hubble's for repair. Years ago my sister took her car there for an oil change. Trouble is they failed to put new oil in her car. Her engine seized & when she called to complain, they told her that she probably drained the oil out to make them look bad. Yep..if they were the last repair shop on earth, I'd start walking. This was a few years back and I'm sure you keep records of your mistakes. What can't you tell about my profile? If you're trying to say that my profile is fake, you're barking up the wrong tree. I love all of the fake "good" reviews though. I don't know of anyone that has used your service that has wanted to use your shop again. It would have 16 or 17 years ago and once again, it was my sister, not me...different first and last name.

Needed a trailer ball changed in size and couldn't get it off. Brought it to Hubbell's and they were able to cut it off for us and got the new one on. Best part he didn't charge us for it. Thanks Hubbell's Auto Repair for helping us out.

My name is Katelyn and I am definitely on file and I do have receipts. I drive the Buick Regal you ve had in your shop four times in 2 weeks which will now be 5 if you re going to fix it properly. The way you are responding to these negative reviews doesn t shock me one bit . It all seems too familiar. I previously took my car in months ago and had a part fixed. I later came back because my car was making a loud noise. He explained they put a faulty part on my car and they would fix it. He also said he isn t always sure of his parts because he gets them online. They fixed it within 20 min and then he tells me after that I owe 140$ or more for labor which was not even mentioned prior to fixing it. I paid no trouble and went on my way I didn t even mention it. Well recently I gave them a second chance to fix my timing chain. I have been back Four times within the last two weeks of getting it fixed. First time my check engine light came on and they couldn t get a code so he reset the computer and explained if I have any problems to bring it back again. Few days later I m on vacation out of STATE with my son and my check engine light came on and my car was stalling out. Do you know how stressful that was with my child being out of state not knowing if we were going to be able to make it home. It ruined OUR trip. The very next day I returned and explained what had happened. I made it very clear that it was happening every time I got gas. He mentioned it could possibly be an opened valve letting fuel into my engine but it wasn t showing the code so he didn t feel the need to address it. He explained AGAIN if the check engine light comes back on to bring it in. VERY next day my light goes off and I m trying to explain I need my vehicle for the next day to leave out of town to finish my vacation. He said he didn t have time to fit me in and to drop it off the following week so he can take a look. Now REMIND you my car is stalling out at stops. I had TO FIND ANOTHER vehicle to take out of town. He rushes me out the door every chance he gets. The following week now the FOURTH time I drop my car off so he could take a look . I didn t receive a call by the afternoon so I called to see what was going on. They hooked it up to a computer and took it for a drive and everything was FINE . Also, I do work full time so this is not convenient by any means. The very next day ,TODAY, (Friday) my check engine light is back on and my car is stalling out and guess who got gas today! So he could have very well took the time to look inside my car but why would they! Although he previously mentioned it was probably an open valve. They are so conveniently closed until Monday so I ll have to deal with this so another weekend ruined. By the end of this I will have spent a minimum of FIVE days of bringing my car in and going back and forth with them. FIVE Days. When he can t even spend ONE DAY to fix whatever mistake they caused or whatever wasn t fixed correctly. When I explained I was upset he said he understands it s frustrating. That was his answer! Is this customer service? Will my car ever get fixed properly? Hope they have a great weekend!

The guys are nice. I had a P0420 code show up and they looked at my vehicle and stated I needed new catalytic converters(I have four). Cost was $4300. Took it to an exhaust specialist and found out with the use of a stethoscope that I have an exhaust leak right before my O2 sensors on both sides which will throw the same code. The fix was $400 at the other place vs $4300 at Hubbell.

Mike & Jim and the technicians are awesome. Been a customer for over 20 years and never one issue/problem. They have handled my newer daily driver cars and my summer classic muscle cars. Money well spent, good investment, and will take all the time you need to hear you cares, concerns, and give you a explanation that YOU understand. Thank you. CWS

The quality and honesty of Hubbell's auto repair are two of the main reasons that we keep bringing our car's back to them. Add to this the friendliness - just another plus in their favor. Big or small jobs, highly recommended.

If I could I would give a -2 ... I brought my car after my neighbor telling me all good experience she has had. They looked at my car and yes they tried to fix my car. Why I will never take my car here again is they said it was the computer that was the problem with my car. They had my car for a week and a half. They keep saying it would be done today but it wasn't. when I picked up my car to take it to the dealership a cover to a storage is broke. The dealership told me the problem my car is experiencing is the ECM and is on recall and fixed my car right away.
