I had looked online for several months for my dream car. We found it at R and S. It was well worth the 2 hour trip. Rick is so kind and very friendly. We sat and talked as if we were family. His wife Susie , we felt like we knew her all our lives. Nothing was rushed . The easiest car buying experience. was so great to work with. So if your looking for a vehicle I highly recommend buying from them

Went there for my friends. We test drove total of 5 cars and finally got one. They even got the car fully inspected and fixed some cosmetic issues after we bought it. So far, the car is running good.

Rick was a lifesaver for our family vacation! Driving through the area from out of state and noticed rear of van sagging with broken leaf springs. He went out of his way to help replace springs and was very honest and fair with us. He was an answer to our prayers and got us back on the road in no time at all. Highly recommend this place!

Love Rick & Suzie! My Family has been coming here for their SUVs & trucks for years so when all my hard work & saving gave me the Goal I had been working towards, purchasing a SUV, my Brother urged me to come to them & see what they have. I was so nervous about everything but was ensured when after looking at SUVs on lot that had all the options I wanted I was eager & ready to meet & talk with them. Right away was greeted with warm friendly smiles & ready to answer any questions and showed me options & let me test drive all of them. I instantly felt like this is how I hoped it would be as I was already tired of high pressure sales from dealerships & everything I researched & inquired about during the first starts of looking for used suvs would be sold already or just didn't feel right. 2nd vehicle test drove was my brother's big idea & was a bit out of my price range but from Suzie & Rick's encouragement & positive approval on as one I must check out as it has all the features I was wanting...We test drove a Cadillac Suv & it made me fall in love with it the moment I got in and sat down & hadn't even gotten out of lot for test drive. Had to wait a couple weeks before could pick it up but it was worth the wait. Rick & Suzie went OVER & BEYOND to make my first purchase with them amazing. I am so happy & proud of my Cadillac Suv & it looks & runs absolutely amazing & owe everything to them & their team there for making My Goal & Dreams come true. Thank you all for the experience & ride of my Life. Recommend them highly. Stay Blessed.

Rick at RS Auto was a breeze to do business with. His place is a salvage yard / rebuild shop / dealership. I was interested in a rebuilt car he had, and we had to do a lot of the deal over the phone, since I live 4 hours away. When I did get to go see it, the car was exactly as Rick had described, and in even better condition than I was thinking of. I had a few questions which were answered honestly and quickly, and I ended up buying the car. I would recommend shopping here if you are looking for a good deal and fair prices.

We were lied to from the start. Spent way too much for a salvage titled vehicle... Which we weren't told until we got there, 6 hours total drive , but truck looked in good shape.. Was told it was aligned and that everything with the truck was in excellent condition... Wasn't aligned... Had to have that done. Also negotiating was a joke, because we were lied to then too.... Tax, docket fee, everything except registration was to be covered by them, which was promised on the phone, and was told at the time of purchase, but again ...not the case.... We ended up spending $4000 more to have the taxes paid and all the repairs done, including new battery and shocks, and on and on....DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE... Everything is a scam...can't trust anything they say..nice people... But can't be trusted... Will never purchase a vehicle from them again!

Bought a 2006 Crew Cab truck from here and they were real nice. I was told the truck had taken a lite front left hit and they had fixed it. Wife had an accident missing a deer and when I went to get it fixed found out that a lot of parts were from a 2004 and the paint was a discontinued color that wasn't for that truck. Not real please! Won't buy from again!

This place is a joke. Rick and Suzie are a joke. Liars. Scammers. I bought a car from them before, $2000 cash. Test drive fine. The next day, it shut off on me going down the highway at 60mph. Lost all power. No lights or anything, 4:30 a.m. I put over $1000 in parts into it, still wouldn t run. Dropped another $300 for a used motor and finally got it to run again. These are the people that deserve to rot in hell. They may seem nice and flexible with you, but they re just trying to scam you!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAM DEALER!!.. Here's why.. I bought a truck from them. Being that it's in southeast Iowa and I'm from St. Louis I asked them if the truck had any rust..They claimed they had their "mechanic" look it over and that the truck had no rust. (Which it didn't, so I thought..) Within the first year of owning the truck the paint around the wheel wells started to pop out revealing the bondo underneath. They clearly slapped bondo over the rust instead of cutting it out and welding a new patch (the RIGHT WAY.. Now I have to buy a whole new RUST FREE bed which is $1000+ TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!

Gf bought an 08 jeep commander from. $7900 with 67xxx miles. Falsely advertised 4 wheel drive. It is AWD. Back hatch leaks water, so we took it to keokuk collision center. It is 2 different Fd up vehicles they welded back together. I was not there when she bought it. The whole undercarriage is rusted. She didn't know it had a salvage title til the title came in the mail. Starting to have a lot of problems with if besides both the hood and hatch being crooked. Heater lines leaked in the back because they were routed wrong. Underneath the amount of rust suggests this is a flood vehicle or a very high mileage vehicle. Do not buy anything from here unless you like lemons. Should sue them.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE! They are scam artists! Computer in our sons car doesn't match the VIN. And they refuse to make it right, even after promising that they would take care if any problems that should arise. They flat out lied and now refuse to do anything about it. Plus they said it wasn't a salvage title and it was. Nothing but lies from the beginning. Run away from this place FAST!!

Called about a car my daughter was interested in. I asked a few questions and then I asked if the car had a salvage title. The man said it was so I asked what happened. At this point the man said it bumped a garage door and it was insignificant so they didn't even repair it. I said " OK, that wouldn't cause it to be salvage...is the frame bent?"The man replied, "I'm not a liar..."and hung up on me.Do not buy from a company that represents salvage cars as slight bumps. Salvage means it had significant damage or was totalled.I was not rude nor did I call him a liar...but it seems like they do have something to hide.

Bought a 2011 Ford Ranger 3 weeks ago. They had 2 Rangers but only one had a clean title. We drove it and ended up purchasing it. Went to Johnson Co. to pay taxes and license and they said there was a problem with title and they would call me back. I called them right away and the gal (apparently the CEO) was out of the office but they would have her call me back. Of course that never happened. Had a friend run AutoCheck and it said 4 years ago vehicle was reported as total loss, caused by collision, front impact, and air bag deployed. On the title they never disclosed that they knew of any damage exceeding 50% which is possible if damage was less than that. And eventually title was issued as clean but it took a week for Johnson Co. to figure things because of previous claims.Just pisses me off they didn't let me know about previous damage no matter how bad it was. If I try to sell it soon I'll be lucky to get 70%. Lesson learned******ALWAYS CHECK CARFAX OR AUTOCHECK BEFORE YOU BUY!***

Defiantly go in being ready to ask questions an research the vehicle your interested in. By doing so you might find yourself a good vehicle or a lemon. As always don't be afraid of having your personal mechanic look it over too.

Who's first place we went to our RS to look for car for my son. He really didn't find anything that he was enthusiastic about I ended up buying a 2001 van it took the van home from my house to Des Moines and back I love you discovered out the window and go down the transmission wouldn't shift properlywe asked for the paperwork to get the car registered and get the plates on itare told by the courthouse that the paperwork they gave us was in the nest to register it. Call r&s Elmer told that they would come to Fairfield and register it. We couldn't get the registration or the titlemy son got a ticket while he was driving it because we couldn't get registration or title so long story short the car set for six or seven months without being drivenwe were we were waiting for the title to be ready and given to us they didn't want to give us the title we can drive the car so it sat out here for that six or seven months not being driven 2 weeks ago they finally came and picked it up why don't you know why we didn't pay for it like I said long story shortwe didn't pay for it because we can get the title to it. I know some people that have had good luck withwe just happened to be the family that didn't have very good luck with them at all just make sure you have everything in the room and that you have title in hand with being a lienholderbecause the pink piece of paper they give you will not allow you to get a trailer for it at the court house..

They didn't even know what they where doing Rick and Susie both had different stories about the truck I asked for I asked about a blue truck a z71 Chevy Silverado and she took me to a Brown Chevy S10 that was rusted out and once (I) found the truck I was talking about I looked at the undercarriage and there was rust everywhere even seeping through the bed liner that was painted down the side of the truck but then I went back inside to ask him what he wants for it he told me that there is no rust on it to sum it up pretty much all I was paying for is rims an tires he wanted 4900 for it that had 191000 miles on it (oh wait he went down 400)which was the original price he told my wife when she called before I went my boss previously told me that they are scam artists but I figured I give them the benefit of the doubt but turns out my boss was exactly right
