I've stayed at this location before and this stay was disappointing. The elevator was broken and I was told that it would be fixed by the afternoon. Upon checking in and inquiring about the elevator, it was shared that it had been down for a month and would not be back in service during my stay. Instead of apologizing for the lack of communication, fingers were pointed that this particular worker hadn't been the one to miscommunication with me. Service recovery definitely needs improvement. In addition several other things were out of order during my stay- the hot tub and part of their breakfast buffet equipment. I've had decent stays here in the past, but would recommend asking about what is functioning and what is not before booking. Disappointed.

I stayed here on a recent road trip. Although this Holiday Inn Express is nice, it isn't nearly as nice as some of the other Holiday Inn Express locations that I stayed at. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I could hear someone snoring in the room next door. The breakfast was just okay but there are more options at the other locations. This hotel is near restaurants and attractions.

The rooms are similar to other Holiday Inn Express suites in other states as far as decor and style. The first room I had was in need of basic maintenance items/repairs. The mini fridge was so loud and annoying I couldn't sleep. The tub diverter was squealing so loud during my shower I was sure someone would complain. The housekeeper should be reporting this when they clean, unless they don't. I say that because I took one of the wash cloths and cleaned around the edge of the tub because it looked dirty & it removed the dirt, but not the mold in the corner. I moved to another room & in the 2nd room the toilet was difficult to flush, the tub drain was clogged, & there was a black spider in the tub . The continental breakfast was nice, clean and had much to offer. I commend this Hotel on the best continental breakfast I've ever had. The omelette is gross & I don't recommend it. The fake cheese & bites that tasted "awful" make it a pass item. There was milk, coffee, tea, yogurt, juice, oatmeal, pastries, biscuits & gravy, bagels, jelly, p & b, cream, pancakes, pork & turkey sausage, a variety of cereals, The breakfast made the start of my day Wonderful.Rooms: Roomy, nice bed & linens, nice decor, desk, bench, drawers, closet, and roomy bathroom.Walkability: Great access to Walmart, restaurants, fastfood, and various stores in walking distance.Food & drinks: Nice little mini store in the lobby. Tea & coffee maker in room.

Horrible customer service had people stomping their feet above until around 10pm complained by phone to the desk twice and it just got worse. Went down to complain in person and was told by the manager that quiet time was 10 to 7 and yhey were doing me a favor by bugging the people above. Then threated to call the cops and evict me when I suggested he give me my money back and I go somewhere else. I would suggest staying away from here. For 151 a night toud think you'd get better customer service.

I've stayed here multiple times and loved the hot tub. They took it out in June. What kind of moron removes a hot tub in a hotel in Iowa? I came a kind way to enjoy the hot tub. Are you kidding me? How can anyone be this stupid?Noteworthy details: No hit tub because ownersa are stupid

Clean rooms! Pet friendly! My ESA dog was welcome. Great hot breakfast in the morning. My only dissatisfaction was that the bathroom did not have a fan to take out moisture and the bathroom got hot and humid with the showers. Everything else was great. Nice, clean, comfortable beds and lots of pillows! Wish I could stay another night.

I always stay here when in town, always good service however this stay was unpleasant with housekeepers even after placing the do not disturb sign on door they find it necessary to bang on door not once but twice so I said hell with it so I get in the shower only to find hairs on floor pan and on the shower walls. Is this what they re in a hurry for to not clean right? I stay here because it s a higher end hotel for this kind of service I ought to just stay across the street at the cheapest hotel IHG you all really to check into this and step up your game rooms had always been good don t know what happened but but it s disappointing. The staff upfront have always been really nice and accommodating, I complained about the housekeepers and they offered a discount and apologized

Enjoyed a nice nights stay in LeMars. plenty of room for large vehicle in the front driveway. Clean and friendly front desk staff. Best part was the pool and hot tub. Queen suite was nice but it felt like Full beds instead of Queens.

I stayed here with my family. The front desk was decent in a timely manner. Beds were comfy. Room was nice. however breakfast was bad. The old lady assisting with breakfast wouldnt leave us alone she kept talking it was so awkward. It was too much. The scramble eggs looked raw. The oatmeal was stiff. I would give this more stars but that breakfast options were kinda gross I seen sausages floating on water in the pan.

I go through the standard stuff before I get to the main reason this hotel gets 5 stars. The staff was extraordinarily friendly, the room was clean and the bedding was luxurious, and the wi-fi was super-fast.The cherry on the parfait was the shower in my room. The water shot out of the shower head like it had been fired from a cannon. Similar to that episode of Seinfeld where Kramer buys a contraband shower head. What a fantastic experience after years of putting up with feeble water pressure in most of the places I've stayed. Maybe the flow restrictor had been removed, who knows?

Had to be on the plane at 3am for a long flight so it was quite nice to be able to check in as early as we did and relax a bit. All of the Staff were extremely nice with special attention to the woman who managed the breakfast - she was very patient and considerate.I never sleep well in hotels, but this bed was SO comfortable. And the best part was that I could not hear anyone out in the hallway because of how the Room was arranged.

This is not the Ritz-Carlton, but it's the best place to stay in La Mars, Iowa. The decor is above average. Lobby and other staff were very friendly and courteous. The room was exceptional for this price range. The furnishings were new in appearance and quite nice. The bed and pillows were excellent. Lots of space for suitcases and laptops, with plenty of outlets to plug devices in to. Lighting was excellent. Bathroom was large with a tub and shower. The towels were luxuriously thick. Everything clean. In the room was a Keurig coffee maker, a microwave and a fridge. Can't beat that. The best feature about a stay here is the breakfast. Those of you who travel much know what the standard motel breakfast fare is. It gets old really fast. The fact that my party of 3 did not have to go to a restaurant for a decent breakfast saved us considerably. If you are staying in La Mars, this is by far the best place.

Very nice room. Quiet, and darker than most which always helps with sleep.Extremely clean. Wonderful staff in all departments. Good workout/exercise room. Much better than average breakfast, including a very attentive attendant.Close to various stores and restaurants. Will stay again if in the area. Would recommend to anyone.

Arrived with no reservations about midnight after battling poor driving conditions all day. The front desk gal was quick, friendly and sympathetic. Got a suite with no fuss, and asleep within minutes. Room was clean and well stocked and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good, and coffee was hot. Would definitely recommend this hotel (the staff were wonderful) and stay here again! Thankyou! !

Nice place. Had laundry. Nice fitness center. Very uncomfortable pillows no support. Room was very clean. Had HBO on TV which is nice to have at least one movie channel. I did not sleep well. They need to get better pillows for the rate you pay.

We were in town for a funeral and stayed here. The staff was fantastic and the room was great but a little pricey. This is Le Mars Iowa, not a major metropolitan area people!!! I appreciated that they changed up their breakfast offerings for people staying several days like we were. We would definitely recommend it and stay again in the future. They just need to reevaluate and tweak the room prices down 30 or 40 dollars.

The suite was ok, maybe worth 150 they charge. The king bed was comfy and an extra blanket and pillows were in one of the closets. The living area as well as the bedroom were very spacious. The downsides were that the fridge wasn't very cold and the freezer part was solid ice. The light switches were mostly on the lights and some were hidden behind the lights. Wifi was good, but TV channels were lame. The TVs were about 32 inches and could have fit 50 inch or more.the pool and hot tube were open but the pool was very cold and the hot tub was not that hot, also the water 3 foot 9 and the seats are low. This is kind of good because it covered my shoulders and most dont. BUT keep an eye on toddlers that may hop in the hot tub cause its deep and about 12 foot square. I know toddlers shouldn't be in a hot tub, just saying 4 year olds dont care... the hot breakfast was better than most with premade cheese omelets that seemed like real egg and not the powdered type often seen in motels. The biscuits and gravy was as good as home. Overall a nice stay. I didnt see the regular rooms, but I imagine they were pretty nice given the shape of the Hotel in general.

First night staying there the toilet kept running and running and running heater didn't work. Second night the heater still needed to be reset all the time. Third night the heater actually worked without needing to be reset all the time. I told hotel Management about these issues and they said we'll see what happens tomorrow. My last night there some people were partying in the breakfast area until 11:00 p.m. and after trying for 15 minutes to reach someone at the front desk finally gave up. I would not recommend this hotel at all.

I travel a lot for work and have skipped over Holiday Inn while booking lodging many of times. I regret it! They have completely remodeled this particular location and it is sooo nice! Especially for a small town like Le Mars. The staff was very kind and friendly the breakfast was better than most & it is very clean. I will definitely pick this hotel the next time I m in town!

This is a great hotel. I stayed here as part of a wedding party. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. We had taken over most of the rooms. The night staff stayed around late & kept the pool open & allowed us to pretty much take over the breakfast area while we caught up with each other. It was a great stay.

I stay at Holiday Inn Express because it is very pleasant and clean. Very clean! The front desk attendant, named Bryce, was wonderful! He came up to my room and fixed my TV! He was extremely nice, and did not seem bothered to be taking the time to help me. I will definitely stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Le Mars when I am traveling to that area. It is very convenient from the highway, and is very close to a Walmart, HyVee, and several restaurants. Definitely recommend!

This hotel is doing a complete renovation. Some of the new rooms were just finished and they are wonderful! This is a king suite so it has a separate room area with a sofa bed and desk while the standard rooms are similar, but in one room area without a sofa bed, the desk is near the bed/beds and there is a chair instead of a chaise lounge. Every room has a convenient microwave/keurig/mini fridge area. The best hotel in Le Mars just got even better and they're not even done yet!
