Greeting was amazing. Service report and information was great.I was concerned the intake GM dealer didn't do oil change right and I think I was still right in that. But, I still have concerns that there is a leak, although minor, I feel like I'm going to need another inspection.Update: concern addressed and also returned for front and rear differential fluid changes.

The service here is soso. They did somethings well but drop the ball on others. The customer service was average with personality being the high and execution being the low. I was left not being able to drive my car after the repair, because I was told my repairs were $900 more than I was quoted initially. The problem with this was, I was told the price adjustment two days prior to the repair completion. They had my vehicle in the shop for 6 weeks. I was driving their loaner during the time of repairs. Once the repairs were completed, they wanted their loaner returned, leaving me without a vehicle to drive until I can come up with the $900 adjustment. I think this could of finish well if they were more transparent about the cost sooner or offer better service at the end. I will not be returning to Lithia in the future.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience purchasing our Jetta. The sales person was kind and not pushy, let us test drive various vehicles. Once we found the one we loved finalizing the sales was painless.

Lots of options and a variety of vehicles to choose from..new and used. The service area was not well organized and workers not at their station. I understand the dealer is going for the open floor plan, but unless you've been there a few times..it can be very confusing. The part department was hidden in a small corner, very hard to find.The three workers I crosspath with were not friendly and seemed rush. The lady at the service desk was kind enough to point me to thr part counter.The dealer was immaculate and very well maintained. The wait room was well stocked with refreshments and a variety of snacks.Overall, there are alot of vehicle to choose from....if you can find the right salesperson to help.

David was wonderful to work with! We looked at the car we wanted the night before and he texted us the next day to let us know other people were looking at it and offered to get the process started for us so we didn t lose our chance! He was never pressuring and completely understanding with our buying situation and needs. We are very happy with our purchase and the service we received! Also, the kids play room in the waiting area is genius and so helpful

When I scheduled my appointment they told me I had one recall to do, and this would take under 2 hours. Since it would be under 2 hours they denied my request for a courtesy car when I made the appointment. There ended up being 3 recalls and they said each recall should take an hour. I was there for 8 hours waiting for my car to be done and no courtesy car was available for me. Extremely disappointed with the lack of communication, especially when they told me several different times my car would be done. When I made the appointment they said it would be done by 9:30am, then with the additional recalls they said 11am, then 2pm and then finally it was done at 3:30pm. Had I known this would take so long, I would have made other arrangements to not wait around.

We love our new Tiguan! Christian Woodard was extraordinarily the best salesman we have dealt with. He is professional,knowledgeable, friendly and most of all honest. I would highly recommend Lithia Volkswagen of Des Moines. The entire staff were amazing!

The worst place to get your used car, be careful when signing, it is sold as is, you don't even realize you only sign policies to cover you, not for the client, the car we bought on the second day was useless. , we looked for help and with despotism. The manager said that we can't do anything for you, and the car was damaged before putting it up for sale. in his establishment. I would never recommend it.

If I could honestly give this place zero stars I totally would! The guy that helped us was super nice don t get me wrong but he was brand new and got our hopes up due to not knowing the process , but getting approved here and how they make you feel is beyond terrible! They denied my husband and I because his credit score is lower than mine but then turned around and told me that if I had a full time job they could approve me on the spot! I m a stay at home mom because let s be honest childcare cost more than rent and I would literally work just to pay that! My husband makes great money that gives us the ability to be able to stay home and take care of our children. With that being said we then went back the next day after being there for 4 hours the previous day, we tried to have his mom be our cosigner due to her credit being about where mine is and having a full time job. Needless to say after another 4 hours at this place they then denied it again! Did not give any explanation on why and said they tried through a couple of their lenders and got denied and would not try with any other lenders they work with! They proceeded to say unless we put 10,000 down they wouldn t approve us! We had a car to trade in on top of a down payment and I told them I would not deplete our savings to give them 10,000 but would put money down and a trade in, that has been the worst experience with a dealership! The income is more than enough and my credit is more than enough. I m so sick about all of this. But we will take our money and business somewhere else. We will never return to this dealership EVER!

Was definitely one of my better car buying experiences. Anthony was really great to work with. Sejad was very good too. They were patient, respectful and appreciative. While I'm at it, I want to compliment the other sales people as well. They really worked together as a team, would stop and chat, worked with Anthony to get my car moved out of the showroom and just made the process comfortable and efficient.Also, I want to give a huge shoutout to Chelsea in service. I brought my original/old vehicle in for service (same day as I purchased) and she was fantastic. Best service advisor I've ever had there. She was prepared for my arrival, had already looked up and entered my service plan (most of the time it's like they have no clue I have the plan which is irritating) and her communication was spot on. There have been times I wasn't notified when my car was done so was a waste of my time until I would finally have to call and ask.Nice touch to have snacks and drinks freely available and offered them numerous times so I felt comfortable helping myself!:)Bottom line: I wasn't sure how I was feeling about the dealership overall with previous service experiences but this most recent experience really reaffirmed my confidence in Lithia. Thanks for a great experience.

It was frustrating that when calling on suggested repairs only the advisor that checked me in could answer my questions/concerns, he was not available and would have to wait for a call back, phone tag is not a good use of time. Once the car was picked up it was quickly returned because it was not running correctly, I was accommodated with a loaner vehicle upon return as the car could not be looked at until the following morning. The warranty work that was performed was not done correctly causing the car to go into shutdown mode. I understand that mishaps happen, the vehicle is tested to figure out the issue and to instruct the technician on repairs, testing the vehicle after repairs may have prevented this from happening. The acted quickly and had my vehicle repaired in good time and apologize for the mistake. Upon returning the loaner vehicle the mileage was reported incorrectly reporting that I drove the vehicle 100 miles more than actually driven, reported and verbally told it was update.

I really liked how friendly all of the staff members were as many of them greeted me and made small talk even though most of them weren't directly working with me on the sale. And David, my sales assistant was no exception. He was excellent at his job and made me feel very comfortable working with him.

The service staff were friendly but overworked. I had to stop in three times and each time had to wait at least 20 minutes to speak to someone. One morning I had to walk back into the mechanic's work area just to find someone to help meIts a tough market for labor so I'll extend some grace but also will likely think twice about returning here for service in the future because of all the waiting.They did however have a nice feature that allowed you to review the proposed work and approvals via text--VERY convenient.

We are very disappointed in Lithia Volkswagen of Des Moines. We purchased a brand new 2022 Atlas in June of 2022. At the time, the powerlift tailgate was not available due to supply chain issues. During the purchase negotiations we agreed to purchase the vehilce at $XX if it included a power liftgate mechanism when they came available. It was agreed upon. 18 months later, we still don't have our power liftgate. I have stopped in to speak with a manager and it took him 3 weeks to return my call while I was on vacation. I have returned his call and left messages for him to call me back three times. We will never purchase another vehicle from Lithia. Our experience with them has been very dissatisfactory.

The service team was very communicative, offered recommended services, one of which I chose was not needed. The service team left a note on my paperwork that it was not needed (picked up after department closed) they also included the summary of the declined services so I would have it for future reference. Service was quick and efficient as well.

My first time at the service department for the 30k service on my Tiguan. Jason was helpful in getting me in and out in about an hour and a half. I waited in the lounge area and it was very clean. Edit #1: I returned for the 40k service and Emrah took great care of me and my car. Edit #2: October 2023 - I returned to the service department and spoke with Emrah about replacing my four Hankook tires now that my Tiguan is nearing 50k. He double checked the size and confirmed with Mark, the service manager. They went above and beyond in working with my schedule and were able to get me in first thing on Saturday morning 8:30AM. I was out of there at 10AM and off to work! Chelsey took care of my final paperwork and payment. Thanks to all!

What a comfort to go to Vw of Des Moines . I need to travel about an hour to get my Beetle serviced. The staff seems to go out of their way to make you most comfortable, They kindly squeezed my service in on a Saturday morning, When job was completed and staff busy with customers, a sales representative made sure he got me back on my way . The service is excellent!They are kind, professional, knowledgeable , and it is extremely comforting knowing the job is completed successfully!I d highly recommend your service! See you again ! Sue

Was met in the service lane by Chelsey who directed me to her check in station. Took my info, got me checked in, asked if I was waiting or leaving. Work was done within a reasonable time. Chelsey finished the paperwork with me, walked me out to the service lane, thanked me for coming and I was on my way. Great service!

Excellent and thorough service, with a side helping of honesty. My service representative was able to track down the extended warranty on my vehicle, which covered the vast majority of the work my vehicle needed...despite the fact that I had forgotten about it. This was impressive to me, because they could've charged me for it all and I wouldn't have known the difference.Because there was a delivery delay on a part which needed to be replaced, they were able to secure a loaner vehicle with a minimum of fuss. Great technical work and personable, patient staff.

As a Lyft driver I separate my tips from my fares. My tips go into an account for maintenance. When million dollar dealerships don't tip, and Lyft says they can, it hurts the drivers. Not only does VW does this so does BMW, Mercedes, Subaru. Also insurance companies like United Healthcare, Iowa Total Care, Blue Cross/Blue Shield have it in their policies not to tip drivers.In fact, when I went into the Subaru dealership on Hickman and tried to ask them nicely why they don't tip I was told that this was an inappropriate conversation and to leave. About a half an hour later the dealership manager called me through the Lyft app and told me never to come back on grounds again.

Lithia is always clean and tidy! The service advisors at Lithia are welcoming and professional, every single visit! I ve had a couple interactions with Cory Norman where he s gone above and beyond my expectations and is very knowledgeable!
