I have been coming to this tire shop for over 20 years!The main reasons are... I trust them, they are fast, do quality work and won't break the bank! Today they got me in for an appointment very fast, and I left soon after feeling relieved that my car was good to go! Thank you to everyone there for the excellent service!

We were on our way across the country when we encountered a flat. Needed a complete set of new tires. After being snuffed by the Corporate competition we were promptly taken care of by Iowa City Tire and Service with the utmost respect and quick service.If they can help out of towners like family, imagine the next level service they could give you! This is a great shop full of good people. I was very nervous to find a new car shop while I was in Iowa City for school. I knew my first visit for an oil change that I had found a good place. They are honest and do what's right by the customer, even if it means less money coming into the shop for that job. Customers are very loyal to this shop with very good reason. I can't recommend Iowa Tire and Service enough.

I walked in w/o an appointment with a flat tire. They were friendly and gave me an accurate estimate of how long it would take. The waiting space was much more comfortable than most garages. The cost was low. Unfortunately they didn't fix the tire! I drove it the next day and it went completely flat. I took it to another place and they replaced the tire.

My family and I recently moved from Ankeny to Iowa City in early 2022 and we were looking for a local reliable mechanic. We explored several options and were extremely impressed with Andy and his team at Iowa City Tire and Service. Very knowledgeable staff and extremely patient and understanding with our questions and concerns. We appreciate the upfront and honest feedback we get before they start the service. No upselling and very trustworthy. Iowa City Tire and Service has exceeded our expectations and we would definitely recommend to our friends and family in the area.

Grateful for the service at Iowa City Tire & Service during our son s move to college. We were able to get an appointment the day after calling and received quick diagnosis & service for simple issue as well as offer to come back for oil changes & any other service needed.

They were knowledgeable and didn t try to push extra things on me. My situation with my car was much more severe and they didn t try to convince me to go completely broke trying to fix it.

this place is top notch! as a college-aged girl, i normally have to get my mechanic stepdad on the phone to get the shops around here to stop telling me that i owe $100+ for an oil change and that my car (which i know is fine) needs hundreds of dollars of repairs. i got an oil change here, for which i was charged very fairly and then had a fluke issue with my car the next day, which they fixed immediately and for no additional charge. the staff was very nice, explained the issue in a way that i (a non-car person) understood, and test drove my car for 20+ minutes to ensure that the issue didn't happen again. i cannot recommend this place enough! i have never had such a stress-free experience taking my car anywhere else and will exclusively come here from now on!

I will never bring my car anywhere else as long as I live in this area. When I first moved here for school, Auto Shops were extremely intimidating for me and I had more than one experience being taken advantage of because of my cluelessness.Iowa City Tire has taken the time, each time I m there to walk through the bill, explain what s really going on with my car, and has never tried to convince me I need something that I really do not need. I no longer am anxious when I have to take my car in because I know they ll treat me right here, no matter how clueless I still am about my car.

I needed a tire repaired and they were able to make an appointment for the next morning. Work was done quickly and to my satisfaction. Only problem was it was $60 for a tire fix. Not very reasonable.

Awesome service. I don t take my car anywhere else. I have gone to place that are a little cheaper, but you get what you pay for when you do that. For the sake of your car, take it here, they are very fair, communicate what needs done very well, and service is fast.

The guys here are, simply put, the most accommodating people I've ever met. In all the years of coming here we've never had a complaint about the quality of their work, and I'm confident I never will.Still true in 2024, repair local.

These guys are incredible! They are super friendly, honest, and truly care about their customers. Their employees, Andy and Josh especially, are awesome at communicating and very polite. This place gets your vehicle back to you in a very timely manner, as well. Car up-keep can be expensive and you want to go to a place you can trust. I promise they will exceed your expectations and they re definitely the best people to go to!

Still the best place around with Andy as the Captain. They had me in and out in 40 minutes the same day I needed service for a repair that other places told me I could not get in for 10 days. Here than warranty repairs I will take all my vehicles to ICT.

I went to Iowa City Tire for an oil change and to have a leaking tire looked at. The employees were very friendly, not just to me but to everyone who walked in (including the UPS guy). The waiting room was comfortable and had ample seating, and I saw they even had a 'Kids Room'.The service was quick and affordable. When they found out that fixing my tire was more complicated than I had thought, they came into the waiting room, showed me the issue, and told me how much it would cost.After they fixed the tire and changed the oil, they brought up a couple issues they noticed while working on my car. However, I never felt like they were trying to swindle me. They pointed out the issues but did not pressure me to fix them right then and there.They seemed very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I would highly recommend Iowa City Tire and Service and will be returning in the future.

Went out to my car and discovered I had a low tire, saw the nail in the tread. I called Iowa City Tire and spoke with Andy. He was very friendly, offered me an appointment that worked great for me. I stayed in the waiting area while my tire was being fixed. Staff working with other customers were friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. My car was ready in the quoted time! Very happy with the job done. Thank you so much!

I wouldn t waste your time. Swing on over to Linder Tire if you want great service. Swooping in to get an estimate on a bearing and some shocks and the guy who initially helped was great then had to go to a zoom meeting then the next guy help three of his mechanics in front of a customer at the counter. Extremely frustrating! Was a better spot under the last ownership!

I 've bought tires and services there previously. I went to their website to order 4 new tires. I found the tires I wanted and called them and they scheduled my appointment. When I got there, they said they wanted to change the tires I had picked out. They said I wouldn't be happy with the Goodyear tires and they gave me 2 other options - both more expensive. I was "bait-and-switched".

As I've moved around and lived in many states, a piece of advice that my father gave me was to always, first and foremost, find a great mechanic that would take care of me and my car. That's what I found at Iowa City Tire and Service while working on my doctorate at the University of Iowa. Andy and his team always met my needs from oil changes to new tires with care and honesty. I once again had to pack up my life to leave Iowa City, and can't help but feel that what I'll miss most is knowing my car was in good hands.

The staff at Iowa City Tire are always honest with you and provide trustworthy recommendations. You get four free tire repairs if you purchase your tires from them. I cannot recommend this shop highly enough.

I definitely recommend this place. I got a piece of metal in my tire and limped my van here to get it fixed. They were able to fit me on and get me back on the road. All the staff were very friendly and helpful; they have a kids room to keep them occupied, free wifi, and even a charging station for your phone.

Best experience I ve had related to getting my vehicle serviced. They drove me where I needed to go and picked me up when my car was ready (Logan was friendly and professional). My car would shake significantly at 80+ mph. After installation and alignment, I m smooth sailing. Everyone s professionalism, friendliness, reliability, and quick action made this place stay.

The folks at Iowa City tire are awesome, I have been going there for over 3 years now. They have always been straightforward and helpful, taking time to explain car-related issue. These folks care about customers satisfaction and not taking advantage of you just to make a buck! I have recommended them to my friends and family and go there for all my regular maintenance tire-related issues.

My son goes to college in Iowa City, which is 3 hours from where we live. He called me to tell me that his brakes were making an awful noise. It was too far for him to come home and have our trusted local brake/tire guy check them out. So we gave Iowa City Tire Service a try. They got him right in and where very helpful with payment options as I live so far away. Turns out he just had a lot of gravel and dirt in there. They cleaned it out free of charge! Talk about Iowa nice!! You can bet I will have my son get his next set of brakes and tires from this store! Thank you for taking care of my son when he was too far away for me too!
