The employees were super friendly and nice, and walked me through everything that needed done on my car. The only complaint I have at all is that the pricing for some of their recommendations was definitely higher than what I'd say was reasonable for the work that needed done. (I was quoted roughly $50 for wipers when I'm confident I could get my own for less than half of that) but the pricings of other things, such as my oil change, was very reasonable, especially with the promotion that was going on.

I was in town to pick my daughter up from college and started having problems with my vehicle. Trying not to panic, Firestone got me right in and for $10 did a complete inspection of my car! They were very professional and honest with what was wrong with my car. They made me feel much better about my 3 hour drive home.

Tires didn t look new also they tried telling me that the sensor was gonna stay on because two of the sensors didn t match when I brought it in this was not a problem now they turn the light of it but it s not showing the numbers also customer service why not wipe all the stuff that they used tire cleaner can t be that expensive. Firestone Auto is a really great Autoshop! They are always super helpful and very kind. I have taken several fleet vehicles to This location and each time they do a great job with the task at hand. The quality of the work is astounding! The inside is cool and has a nice lounge while your waiting. The inside is clean and looks very professional! I would honestly recommend this place! They are quick to get the work done. I'm very pleased with Firestone!

Friendly and professional!!! They were able to take care of an issue I had on a Sunday afternoon before my long drive home. As a walk in customer they had me in and out the door in 20 minutes.

An under staffed and under appreciated shop, Aaron and his one tech were honest, efficient and helpful to their abilities. I was taken care of in a timely manner when No one less Could for out of Townes s on a Sunday. I hope that Firestone takes care of these gentlemen as good people are a better reason to return to a great company when you have tire needs. Thank you for all you do- McCoy

Brought my car in to fix a nail on my back tire. They didn't torque my tire correctly and a week later the tire came of while I was driving. My rim was damaged and all five of the wheel studs were sheered off. Firestone did reimburse me for the wheel studs, but not the rim as the damage to it was "only cosmetic". However, after getting a second opinion I was then told the rim was toast and I needed a new one. I'm still out of about $500 for a new rim and towing that I wouldn't have needed if someone would have torque was wheel correctly.

I like Firestone but this is one of the better locations they let you know when your car is done promptly. And do not try to Hard Sell you an upgrade or Services you don't need immediately. The store manager Aaron always addresses any of my concerns and keeps me up to date of the status of my car.

I got four new tires and did an alignment six months ago, I noticed the new tires were cupping. I took it back with alignment concerns and to rotate tires. The tires have felt unbalanced since they were put on and I mentioned that, they wanted me to pay $60 to balance the tires. The alignment was indeed off, but they said the cupping was due to a Suspension issue, which they could not find. Now, my steering wheel sits to the left quite a bit and is crooked. I will definitely not be going back.Services: Tires, Wheel alignment

My vehicle was returned late because of a national shortage on the specific part my car needed. Even though it wasn't their fault, they hooked me up with a free rental and a discount for the inconvenience. Great service!

Never again take my vehicle to Firestone. Our car would shake when we went over 45 mph. And they told us they didn't see anything wrong with it. And the reason why they weren't able to take it out on the highways, they had to stay in town. So they couldn't get it over 30. Seriously, the dumbest thing I ever heard in my life. Never again.

Before moving to Iowa City I always used Firestone for my car service needs. Sadly all Firestone locations do not offer the same professional service. Back in June 2019 after just recently moving to the area, I scheduled an oil change at this location. Everything seemed normal and the individual at the desk was extremely friendly. After expressing some concern about the condition of my brakes, the employee said they would give them an inspection. Sure enough he came back and told me that all my brake pads were in critical condition and that it was recommended to do a $400 replacement. I told the employee I would consider it later and proceeded to head home. Upon arriving home I noticed that the miniature replica Nebraska helmet that used to sit on my rear dashboard was smashed to pieces on my rear seat. Even if it was to roll off during the oil change, there was no way it would have been in the condition I found it. I gave Firestone a call and was told that no manager was present at the time and that they would inform the manager of the incident tomorrow and to expect a call. That call never came and since then I have found far better places to take my business here in town. Extremely disappointed that someone was petty enough to do this. To add to this wonderful experience, when I took my car in for a second opinion on my brakes at another establishment in town, they stated that my pads looked wonderful and had another 30,000 miles potentially on them.

They'll force you into a diagnostics fee of $100+ no matter what you go in for.Had a diagnosis from an out of town mechanic friend already and went in for a simple fuse change. When I told them to simply change the fuse and I didn't want any additional diagnostics, the (rude) lady at the counter questioned me about whether I could do this myself (irrelevant?) and if I had the circuit figures (again, why would I come to you if I wanted to do this myself?).Not to mention in 2019 they sent one of my cars back home with nearly non functional brakes. Took them a week to fix it again.I keep going back because of their convenient location and should probably stop. Will be taking my cars elsewhere from now on.

If you are an international student or someone who's not familiar with car issues and trying to fix your car here, be prepared to get ripped off.A few years ago, I decided to purchase our tires here and they installed four tires that were already a few years old. Tires have lifespan and old tires are not safe. I noticed this and immediately asked them to replace with newer tires and they declined. The store manager was extremely rude and angry and yelled at me for making the request. He also had the Firestone Midwestern regional manager (not sure whether the guys was or not) to lie to me that, if I replace the tires they installed, I cannot re-install same run-flat tires again.I had to reach to their headquarter with a few calls and get the much newer run-flat tires from another store. If you encountered issues with them, be prepared to speak up and hopefully someone above them could fix the problem.

Literally don t bring your car here ever. They cross threaded a lug nut while working on my car and now I m dealing with more problems. Of the 5 Firestones I ve been to in different states, this is the worst one without a question.

Not sure how these people quoted me 2x more for catalytic converter than other shops. Overall place is a rip off and try to diagnose your car with every problem in the book. I went to another shop and said maintenance on my car was fine.Service: Auto engine diagnosticService: Auto engine diagnostic

I recently brought my car into this location for an inspection because it was having trouble starting. I was initially told that it would require a diagnostic test fee and then an additional fee to charge the battery if that ended up being the problem. I was informed that the battery was the issue. However, because the battery was still fairly new, I decided to go to a second auto body shop that stated that it was in fact not the battery and a whole different replacement was needed. I realized that I was charged for a completely wrong diagnosis and attempted to ask for a refund. Unfortunately the woman at the front desk barely even took the time to look at both of the receipts I presented to her with proof of the actual problem before she declined my request. I understand that mistakes can be made, but I thought the customer service in this situation was very poor and the store manager was not very friendly from the start of my request. I felt as though I spent a significant amount of money for nothing in return, and left very dissatisfied.

Very pleased with the service here, with my work schedule being able to get car service on the weekends is a huge plus. They got my car working much better and there wasn't a long wait. They were fully transparent about prices and how much everything would cost. The person who helped me today, Kaylee, was fantastic and went above and beyond to find a part in town that my car needed. I also appreciate that they take Covid precautions very seriously unlike some other auto shops in town. All together, great service!

Took my truck in becuase my rear brake line broke - they refused to work on it saying it was "unsafe to work on" because it was "rusted and cracked down the middle of the frame." I find this very interesting since a few months prior they put a new tire on it when my tires got slashed; I doubt it had rusted that bad that fast. I don't know why they would refuse service, essentially the only thing different with the vehicle between the two visits was a pride flag sticker I had put on the back (coincidentally, of course). I brought the truck to Professional Muffler a week later and they had it fixed in two hours with zero problems - I'd recommend a local mechanic over this chain.As for customer service, Technicians and those behind the couter were always very short and dismissive.

I retracted my initial review of one star because the nail was, in fact, right at the edge of the no-repair section of the tire. They replaced the damaged tire, but it took a long time to get the road-hazard warranty payment processed. The manager was courteous throughout the entire process, though.Service: TiresService: Tires

I have gone here for several things over the last several months because the location is convenient and I did not have another choice. Customer service is not very helpful. They charge very high prices in general- especially on diagnostic tests just to discover that the problem is very easy to solve. I had my windshield wiper blades replaced here and the next day, one of my wipers wasn't moving. I went back in and was charged $20 for them to inspect my windshield wipers just to discover that it was a bolt that needed tightened. I was told a battery replacement would be $250, went to another place to get a quote and was told it would be $120. There are definitely better places to go to get better service at a cheaper price.

Excellent customer service! We came in today, 3/6/2020, for a tire that was almost flat. We were on our way from IL to WY when we noticed our tire pressure in the back left tire was extremely low. We drove straight to this Firestone location on Burlington Street in Iowa City and they were able to replace the tire timely right on the spot. Dee, the store manager, was extremely helpful. I highly recommend. Thank you Firestone!
