Zips product is typically outside of our usual supply chain but we had one urgent need for an item they sell. Rachel made it VERY easy to gather all of my info and get an overnight order placed quickly. Can't ask for more than that.Especially when so many online companies make it so hard to place an order. I placed an order on Dec 1 a Wednesday. The payment cleared the day next. Check my order status Sunday and seen it was still pending on Zips site. I called the next day on Monday and spoke with Shane, he let me know he sees my order pending and he reassured me that he will be sending it out today (Monday). Fast forward to today Dec 8 (Friday) A whole work week later. I check my order status again, and to my surprise it still said pending! I called Zip again to see what going on with the order. I was told that Shane never sent my order out, they see he spoke with me and took control of the order as if he was going to ship it out, but failed to do so. This is very disappointing, as the order shipping time is stated to be between 5 and 7 business days. I m not someone who review over a fussing moments. Im a business owner myself, so I reviewed when a business effect me as a customer. Both good and bad experiences. I write this review to let Shane know that he dropped the ball. I shouldn t have to call a business and check in on my order status a second time after I was told you personally would handle it. I did however take into account of how the experience was after the second call, the lady made it right and corrected the issue. She made sure the warehouse sent out my order, and gave me a direct contact.

I ve placed my order on October 23 on a very important pice For my truck my payment clear Zips Call me a week later, telling me that my payment was flagged even though my payment went through when I called customer service for them to expedite my shipping. The customer service manager was extremely cold I told her I have a business to run and they need to expedite my shipping because the payment had cleared that that time she didn t care

About a month ago, I went onto their website under contact and filled out their form for an estimate on a Federal Signal Xstream Interior Warning Light. It took about a week for Rachel�Fox to follow up on my initial request. She asked about my quote that I had not yet received. She went to work on finding out what happened to the quote I never received. I took her 10 days to get me that quote. I'll give Rachel some credit though. At least she got the quote finalized and sent to me. I did not buy because of price.

First time buying from Zips and it was a big mistake. I had a truck down and needed a winch and I paid for over night shipping to get the truck back up and going. When I got tracking number they shipped out 2 day shipping and charged me for over night shipping. They admitted the mistake but there fix was to only offered me a refund of the difference of shipping. What about my truck being down for another day because of their mistake!!! Won t be ordering from here no more. I don t recommend them!!

Ordered a part and paid for 3 day shipping ( cost more than the part but I'm broken down until I receive it) Got notified that my part is still a week out. Called company to see if they would adjust shipping cost and was simply told nothing we can do its on our website. You see it clearly states on their website that in 2020 they "Temporarily Suspended" refunds for delayed shipping due to world circumstances. I have ordered parts from all over the world and 1 or 2 days is still expected at this time but a week out? Really? how about you switch carriers or not charge for something you absolutely know isn't going to ship in the expected time? How many more YEARS will you be using the guise of "Temporarily Suspending"? I'm the used car dealer and supposed to be the dishonest one, lol, you got me, you're good. Just wish you would have done something to maintain good customer relations...but every company has a different business model.I did give 2 stars because I'm sure that in a week after receiving my 3 day shipping part, I will be satisfied with it.

Very nice place. Delivered a unit to them. If you are a driver then there isn t an uber service. There is a shuttle driver and there is one bus a day at 1:30pm out of Waterloo.Just a heads up

Stopped in to check on my new truck build got treated like family they took my nephew and I on a full tour of their complex I can see a long term working relationship with these fine folks. I didn't see one employee on the whole tour that didn't look like they enjoyed their jobs and doing the job to high standards

Parts wise, hard to beat. Show room is nice so you can see stuff you probably don't need but will buy anyways. Used trucks-kinda high on price but they do actually look at them and run them through the shop. Salesman was easy to work with, we demo'd two trucks before we found the right one for us. Maybe paid a little more then I had to for the truck, but at the same time it wasn't like I paid 10x what it should have been.

Recently ordered & picked up a new Dodge 5500 408 spec ordered. Truck was finished on time and was completed 100% to spec. These guys are about as straight forward and make the process as simple as it should be! (After years of buying trucks from another builder I was just DONE! I felt like I had to fly out and inspect every truck prior to taking delivery because of poor quality or assembly issues) after picking up this new truck at Zips, touring the plant with the owner and seeing the quality difference between the other place and here yea! it s 3 times as far away (from us) and it was a little bit more money HOWEVER not having to worry about it & being able to send an employee to pick up a new truck in the future & not feeling like I have to do it as well as the quality difference, fit & finish is worth it.

If there was a way to give less than one star I would. I bought a used Miller Titan T7 that needed some repairs. From the agreed upon pickup date until the trailer was finally delivered was over three months. I was there to pick it up twice and went home with no trailer. They refused to budge on the price to help to offset their mistakes. Their attitude when I was there twice and going on home with no trailer was kind of like well nothing we can do about it now so sorry. After I bought the trailer they sent a $75.00 gift card for Zips apparel. Well that was nice. I ordered a zip up hoodie and a baseball cap. Over a month later the hoodie arrives but still have not seen the baseball cap. Good lord, can they get anything right I try to do with them? I can't think of a scenario that would ever prompt me to set foot in their door again. This is far and away the worst experience I have ever had with a company. If this is how they treat most of their customers I am not sure how their doors are even open anymore. To top things off, within a few weeks of receiving the trailer all of the control valves are leaking. They of coarse "fixed" them before I picked up the trailer.

Worst experience I've ever had. Told me the truck I was going to buy was ready to go, it was not and that is an understatement . I got a promise note to give me my money back that said first thing Monday morning after several phone calls my father even had to threaten to call the lawyer we finally got our money back. Ended up walking four and half hours to Waterloo Iowa just to get a rental car. Not only did they lose the sale they lost a customer because I will never buy anything from zips again !

I bought a truck about a year ago when I first opened thought I was making the right decision well the owner and the sales rep at the time took full advantage of me and not knowing anything about maxforce trucks at the time the truck has had six sets of injectors put in it a motor three whole new fuel systems and yet they still won t do anything about the owners son David refuses to return my calls and e-mails you think for never missing a payment on all the trucks I ve bought and financed through them they would care about there customers no they don t all they care about is their money and that s it so don t buy a truck from these guys unless you planned on getting screwed

I'm a car hauler with a 10 car stinger auto transport truck. Zips- agreed to fix a hydraulic cylinder leaking oil under the trucks manufacturer's warranty. Long story short. this is by far the best experience I've ever had in a truck service setting. If a repair shop promises you they will get a job done before closing for the day and doesn't, shouldn't they provide accommodations for the night? Zips- did. If a repair shop makes a mistake while making a repair, you should not be billed for the extra time, right? Zips didnt. I didn't expect any of this. My expectations were not exceeded they were blown away.

We needed a second truck and found a used one at Zips. Did the one page application and got approved for financing Julian our sales rep was just wonderful to work with so we drove from Kentucky to Iowa Julian gave us a room to sleep in and then offered us some breakfast the next morning we was so amazed walking around the lot at all the trucks but anyway Julian and Zips blessed us treated us like we were important and made sure everything was in order like he told us over the phone amazing experience and we will be back for more as we continue to grow THANKS ONCE AGAIN JULIAN AND ZIPS HAD AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE AND IM RECOMMENEDING YOU TO EVERYONE WE KNOW

Had two parts purchases from Zips one had to be returned. The parts sales staff has no first hand experience with how the parts they sell work. It is like talking to my 75 year old mother about the features of an iphone. Its bad when you have to explain to the sales guy that a 1 31/32 shank is correct for a 2" reciever.

We needed a truck within 24 hours and the Wisconsin salesman got exactly what we needed and all the extras we needed done to the truck, and got the truck to me in the time i said i needed it in. This is the 5th truck I have bought from zips and this is the type of service I've received everytime. From sales, service, and financing, I have to say zips deserves a true 5 star. Thanks again.

I ordered a parker hanifin hydraulic gear pump for my tow truck. I live in edmonton, alberta, canada and the authorized dealers (wainbee) here couldn't get this pump from parker hanifin shipped to me until atleast December 6th 2019. So I found zips on the net and got the pump 3 days later with the price being a bit cheaper as well. Needless to say, in the towing industry, time is money and when your truck is down, you make no money. Zips got me back to work in 3 days from the states. Thanks so much to you zips, and you'll get all my companies business.

The new process for ordering parts is a waste of our time. Calling to speak directly to Rick or Mike took 5 minutes, which I would give 5 stars for that. The new process takes 25-35 minutes and then sometimes you still can't get the part you need.Kathy Atcheson

Called for a quote on a repaint on a 21 Carrier bed and Trent in service told me he didn't have time and best to find someone else. Then asked to speak to a manager and they hung up.Bob did call back but Trent then come up with a fee to do estimate that wasn't there before. We are in Iowa and this is why we will be taking our business bout of state to someone that doesn't wanna say call someone else or help!

Placed order by phone, the part had to be sent from an affiliate of Zip's, Zip's charged my credit card, promised to email a receipt. Three phone calls later, still no receipt for my purchase.
