My car had a vibration problem caused by the transmission. I took my car to get an estimate for the transmission to be repaired. They changed the transmission fluid 3 times and were able to get the vibration to go away. Of course it is only a temporary fix and the vibration could come back in a short time or the fix could last a long time. They were very professional and gave me the information I needed to make a decision on the best way to get the transmission repaired before it gets worse.

My wife and I had taken our car into sankots a week ago because the oil light and check engine light had come on. They plugged it in and changed the oil telling us it was good to go and charged us $175.00. 2 days later I get a call from my wife saying she is broken down on the interstate heading to work. I have the car towed to their shop they look it over and tell me the cam shift is broken and it's going to cost me $4000.00 to replace the engine in it! Then they tell me that they won't work with the warranty we had purchased through the dealer when we bought the car and then charged me another $175.00 to tell me this wonderful news! Please explain to me how I shouldn't feel sabotaged in this? It truly feels like it is exactly that, SABOTAGED!

Sankot's Garage is very honest and up front about what is wrong with your vehicle. I've been taking my cars to Sankot's for close to 20 years and I've never once been unhappy. I would highly recommend them.

What a wonderfully honest place! I was certain I needed my brake pads replaced, so I was expecting to replace them. But sankots called me and said they were still good and I didn t need mew ones yet. Now they could have just replaced them, taken my money and I would have been none the wiser but they didn t. I will use them from now on bc honesty is everything to me and I m happy I found somewhere I can trust!Service: Brakes

Sankots is the very BEST GARAGE, REPAIR SHOP I've taken a vehicle to for ANY kind of repairs.As a female, I have no concerns regarding their honesty and integrity.Being almost 70 yrs. of age, many of my experiences with like services and shops are no comparison to Sankots.Still in disbelief after going to them for years, that their service go beyond my expectations.

They have my business for life ! They are honest and do good work. I have a really old car that they keep helping patch up. I ve talked/worked with every single person that works there and it has ALWAYS been a positive experience. Today they did an A/C service and I have a bum windshield wiper I keep forgetting to replace. They just replaced it for me without asking, and it made my day.

Great friendly service! Check engine light came on so they checked it and the gas cap had been loose a couple days before. We had noticed and fixed the gas cap a full day before the light came on but that seems to be the problem. They smiled and said have a safe trip home and didn't charge us a dime!

Very nice people. Had my car towed had no idea what was wrong with it. They looked it over told me the problem &worked with my warranty got it all fixed & got my car running again. Will definitely be taking my car there from now on for any repairs

Being 23 years old, supporting a family on one job, and not having all the tools to do my own work, I took my truck to have the transfer case rebuilt to this place based on a coworker's recommendation. At first, I thought them to be fairly nice and knowledgeable, answering any questions I had without hesitation. After I got the bill, I had to question a $1400 job. Labor was only 400, the rest in parts. Thinking nothing of this until the same issue came up again not four months later, I decided to look up the parts of my own to find a complete rebuild kit for $300. At that time, my company had relocated my family and I to Georgia. Of course, I cannot drive my truck with a bad transfer case from Georgia to Iowa for the 12 months, 12,000 mile warranty. After consulting a local shop here in Georgia, I called Sankot's in hopes he would cover the labor costs he charge me to do the job not for months prior. If the local shop charged me more for labor, I offered to pay that difference just so I wouldn't have to drive all the way to Iowa. He came back with they will not honor the warranty in that way, the way that cost me $400 to receive a service that did not last more than four months, and is under a 12 month warranty. He did offer to pay $25 an hour for the five hours of work it took his guys coming out to only covering $125 of the original $400 cost. In a customer's eyes, when you pay for a service ($1447, which is an overcharge of $600 for parts found online for much cheaper from GM themselves), you would expect to be taking care of much better. I was not asking for more than what I paid to cover some of the expense of having it done elsewhere, simply what it would cost him for me to bring it back to his shop and him fulfill the warranty in house. I will never, ever recommend this shop based on two things: they overprice parts by at least double, and will not be willing to work with a customer in a way that seems fair for everyone involved. Please take this into consideration when looking for auto shops in this area.

Not certain why this is listed as a brake shop. Multi-generational family owned and operated, full service auto repair shop. They do an excellent job analyzing and then fixing car problems. I encourage all my friends and family to have their auto repair work done here. I've been having my work done here since 2003.

I hesitate to tell people about this place because the secrets out and I can't get my vehicle serviced same day. This place is fantastic! Great work for a fair price. They stand by their work, if something isn't right they work with you until it is fixed. I can't say enough good things about these guys.

A great example of a quality family auto shop. I've taken both a Ford Ranger and Crown Victoria there, and had work as simple as oil changes done all the way to having the rack and pinion assembly on my Ford Ranger replaced - all at reasonable prices. Their rates for work are very modest for the excellent job they do - the rack and pinion job was far below the "official" Ford dealership price, and has weathered a good 125,000 miles so far. They're flexible on appointments, and work diligently to get your car fixed as quickly as possible.

Sankot's fixed cam phaser and timing issues on my truck. I had two separate problems arise with the work done over the span of almost two years (it sounded more like part failure than poor workmanship), and these guys were able to get the problems fixed under the warranty period without charging and giving me grief. It's inconvenient and costly for a small business to deal with warranty issues, but it's incredibly important to uphold it, so I would highly recommend them. Thanks guys.

My car just died while I was driving, towed it Sankot's and they were able to drive it into a parking spot. Gave it a few days, they did whatever diagnostics they could and couldn't replicate the issue but said to be sure and call them if it happened again and they would come take a look. Didn't charge me a dime and were extremely friendly and personable.

Great place to take a vehicle for maintenance and repair. I'm very particular about the work I do, and so it's always great to find a business with the same customer commitment I strive to achieve. Good people, good service, good rates, good work. I like em!

I'm new to the area. My car broke down and I asked a total stranger where they'd suggest I take my car. They said, "I take everything to Sankot's Garage." I'm extremely pleased with their work I'll take my car there from now on!
