Global Auto has been my local auto repair shop for nearly 10 years. Tim and his staff have always done the work right the first time and my vehicles have been ready when promised.

I won t take my vehicles anywhere else! This place takes top notch care of my family s vehicles and Tim is always honest and clear about costs and what work will be done. If you re looking for the best mechanic in the Cedar Rapids area this is it!

I have been taking our cars here for years, and it's easy to recommend Global to others because of the great service we receive there. Tim is honest, does quality work at a price that is fair, and always gets things done when he says he will. Highly recommended.

Tim the owner is very accommodating for scheduling. He can usually look at my vehicles pretty quick. GA does a great job and and a very reasonable price. Had one issue once but it turned out to be loosening of older parts once a repairs was done. He still said bring it back and was able to fix- it up for a very small price. Work done is outstanding, would not hesitate to bring any of my vehicles here. Great place, great shop.

Went to dealership in CR, was told I needed new brake pads for rear tires, and would soon need pads for front, it was going to take 2 weeks to get in. I dropped my vehicle off at Global, without an appointment. They were able to work it in. They determined that the rattling was from a a missing clamp, I still had 35% of rear pads and 50% of front pads. Needless to say,I found a new automotive repair shop! Could not have been more impressed with the service!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Found our new mechanic! We have taken multiple vehicles to quite a few other places for maintenance and small repairs when our regular fleet mechanic is swamped and we usually leave without everything being fully fixed. We started taking our fleet vehicles to Tim at Global for these incomplete repairs. He always finds the answer and makes the appropriate repairs. So far he is tracked down 2 separate electrical problems in different vehicles that others were unable to find. He makes it look simple! No reason for us to shop around and roll the dice on any other new service shops.

I took my Diesel Jetta here and I thought that the shop did a fantastic job. I really feel like they went to extra step to understand what was wrong with my car in order to fix the problem and did not overcharge or try to sell me anything that I did not need. They even took the time to explain what was wrong and what I should look for in the future. I will definitely be using this shop again.

Nathan is a great guy and excellent mechanic. Even better, he inspected my vehicle when I thought I had a bad wheel bearing, and let me know that it was fine. Can't ask for more honesty than that!

Dropped my sons truck off on Saturday and had it back first thing Monday morning. The facility is very clean and organized. Tim and his team are great to work with!

A couple years ago I replaced a wheel bearing on a VW GTi at another mechanic in Marion and a few weeks later it sounded like it was going bad again. Brought it here and they said the bearing was fine but that the other place didn t torque it to VW specs. Apparently VW requires the axel nut to be torqued in a specific order (tighten, loosen, tighten, loosen) so they just retorqued it and only charged me for his time which I would have paid double. Very fair place and very knowledgeable on foreign cars that many mechanics have little experience on.

Paid a lot of money to have my car fixed right . Wrong took it in the rear wouldnt take another vehicle there if I had to. Theres a difference between a mechanic and a parts changer, no mechanic here .
