Searched for an auto shop all through Dubuque after bouncing around corporate shops like Meineke and Firestone. Tried West Side Auto for some repairs on my F-150 and I ll never go anywhere else. Recently, walked in to get some work done on my truck after sub 0 temps and they made room for me in their packed day and gave my daughter and I a courtesy ride back to my house so we weren t stuck. Can t say enough good things about this place.

John and Karla do a great job getting you in/out quickly. I had them replace the brake pads on my vehicle and they squeezed me in the same afternoon! Thanks Jim

Had to make a stop for car trouble while traveling through the area , couldn't have been happier with the service and help provided. Owners were very nice and knowledgeable, found the parts we needed on the fly(last available in the city!) and had us back on the road in no time. Highly recommend , wish we had a mechanic like this in our home town .Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

I had car towed to their shop after breaking down. They were able to get me in asap which was great. I was sure it was alternator but they thought it was only the battery. I explained how it died and was told battery. Later that night alternator died and I got stranded for 5 days costing me another thousand dollars. I do not recommend going here

John and his staff are very HONEST, trustworthy, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. We go to John for all of our automotive services. I was in and out in a short amount of time. They always take great care in the way they treat our cars and are careful to keep it clean by using paper floor mats. We refer people to West Side Auto all the time because we know he never takes advantage of people and above all else, that is most important to us! There is never any pressure to buy extra services like most places. These are the reasons we use West Side Auto in Dubuque.Service: Oil change

I was traveling through Dubuque when my vehicle broke down on a Friday night. The business is closed over weekends, but the owner John came in on Saturday and diagnosed the issue. He ordered the part and had me all fixed by Sunday. I cannot recommend this place enough for going so far above and beyond my expectations.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

I had to come here after my camper van broke down while on a trip. I was from out of town, came in 2 pm on a Friday. They had four guys working on my fuel pump that same afternoon to get it back to me before they closed for the weekend. Even offered me a ride home if I couldn't get my van until Monday. Amazing staff.

Took my 73 Mach 1 radiator to them to get cleaned and painted, they were very freindly and very helpful letting me know it was actually bad and i didnt know it. Even called me back to let me know about something they found in it that could of damaged my motor. I would definitely do more business with them again.
