Best team of professionals. Matt is nice and he always goes the extra mile for his customers.Bring all my car to them and they do an excellent job,from mufflers to breaks and normal maintenance, etc. They are always helpful friendly fast and very reasonable prices.Highly recommend!!!!

In the heat of the summer my van's A/C ceased to function. The local Honda dealer couldn't look at it until the following week but I was in town for 3 days to attend a wedding. The owner of Vaughn's took pity on my predicament, diagnosed and repaired it within a few hours. He even drove us back to the hotel and picked us up too. Great service and price. I highly recommend.

Service was amazing! The staff was great, knew what they were talking about, had my rear brakes fixed in record time, looked over everything! Feel very pleased and definitely taking all my car needs to them!!!

Incredibly rude customer service. Don't listen, and literally walked away and drove off in the middle of a conversation. Apparently, he didn't need my business.

They were incredibly rude to me over the phone and interrupted me multiple times. They also talked to me like an idiot even though I have a degree in engineering and was just trying to be polite. Never go here, horrible customer service

I took my old pickup truck to Vaughn's after reading online reviews and having a retired mechanic tell me to go there. My truck had thrown a belt that I could not get back on. The guys were super friendly and understanding when I explained the other issues I was having (bought the truck a few months ago from a shade tree mechanic who actually messed things up). The radiator was damaged when the belt broke and they actually shopped around to find a better price for me saving me a lot of money. The tech went over and above to find my rough idle problems and without even asking, replaced a fuse so my gauges would work. Net result, the amount I paid was LESS than I was quoted AND the work done was fantastic. Thanks, guys, we've found our new shop in Dubuque.

I had a wheel bearing unexpectedly fail on the Interstate on the 4th of July on my way home to Des Moines. Even though they were closed, Vaughn's was the only auto shop in the Dubuque area to answer my call. Matt let me know he'd do his best to get me back on the road the following day. Their great customer service allowed me to find a place to tow my car to even when everything in town was closed. This shop understood the urgency to get my car up and running so I could get home, and they also provided updates throughout the day to ease my stress. This allowed us to plan our unexpected stay in town accordingly. They even came to pick me up from the hotel we were staying at once my car was finished, because they didn't want me walking to pick up my car in a heat advisory. The gentleman who brought my car to the hotel was very nice. This was the best customer service I've ever received from an auto shop to date. I would highly recommend them to others. Thank you Matt!

Not impressed with the service, prices or time it took to fix my vehicle. I'm confused as to why anyone would out tires back on with loose tie rods. They could have called me to okay the repair but they did not. They had my vehicle for 2 days. And mysteriously after I get my vehicle back, the battery cable was so loose that all of my gauges were going crazy. Will not return and will for sure not recommend this repair shop to anyone

I rate Vaughn's Auto 5 stars. I have taken my cars here for over 10 years. I won't get anywhere else. Ron and his staff are knowledgeable and great at what they do. They take the time to explain what is exactly wrong, so you don't have to question your service.Heck, Ron even has good quality used vehicles for sale if you don't have one. Ron's been in business for decades. He won't steer you wrong.

Took my car in to have a problem diagnosed and get an oil change. My check engine light wasn t on but my car wasn t performing properly. I gave Ron an idea of what was going on. He was able to drive me to work and see for himself how it was acting. He diagnosed the issue and even called to explain what he would replace and why and he said I could wait on the oil change. They had it done by the afternoon. Will definitely be making this my regular for anything car related.

I was recommended to Vaughn s by a long time Dubuquer and they re my go-to mechanic. They are honest, even when maybe it s not the best business move (when they recommend certain jobs, they often give tips on how to care for my van if I decline their work). They don t throw a bunch of unnecessary stuff at you and don t try to scare you into certain fixes (this is not true of other shops I have taken my van to in Dubuque!).As far as expenses go, they have always charged average or bellow. And I m happy to pay them for their integrity. The work they have had done has always been quick and satisfactory. Over all a good place to which I will always take my vehicle first.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

We had a water pump belt break while traveling through Dubuque. We found Vaughn s by scanning through reviews on Google and made a beeline to their shop. They pulled our car into their garage immediately and diagnosed the problem within 20 minutes. Very friendly and professional; provided updates every step of the way while we waited in the shop. They even offered to drive us to our destination 30 minutes away when it was not clear if they had the needed parts. But we were back on the road within an hour! The price seemed fair and was less than their estimate. Overall a great experience and I d highly recommend them.

I called them last minute, right before a three and a half hour drive home my window fell down into my door.. I called one mechanic shop who would not help me, I called these guys last minute and they came right out and helped me get my window up so I could get home to get home. granted I did not get the repair services done with them, but they helped me out in a pinch so I could make it home and I definitely appreciate that!

Working with Vaughn's Automotive was a wonderful experience. I was fortunate to to find out what the issue was before getting charge for any labor. They worked with my father calling from out of state and was able to resolve the issues, while being polite and efficient.

On our way to Wisconsin for vacation our Honda Odyssey's alternator went bad. It happened on a Sunday and the farm and home store across the street wasn't able to help. They recommended Vaughn's. After hearing our situation they worked us in as quickly as they could on Monday morning and had us on the road by 10:30am. They were very professional and friendly. Their pricing was competitive and fair compared to the quotes and research that I did. I hope not to be stuck in Dubuque any time soon due to mechanical issues but if I was this is the first place I would go!
