Very very nice people helped me out to the fullest of their abilities. I would recommend them to anybody you needed place to go for your transmission. They re very knowledgeable.

VERY satisfied with my experience at Sta-Rite! I had my truck in Des Moines for a meeting and the Transmission decided to die. Torque converter failed. They were pretty backed up and told me it would be 2-6 weeks to rebuild my transmission, and I was totally okay with that, knowing how hard it is to get good help. They were one of four transmission shops in Des Moines area recommended to me. They under promised and over delivered! They looked over everything from the engine back and had it done in just over a week! My truck is running great and comes with a fair warranty as well. I would HIGHLY recommended Sta-Rite Transmission! If you're looking for quality work at a fair price, visit Sta-Rite!

This company is always busy. They make take some time to fit you in, but its worth the wait. Fantastic Service, fantastic work. They've done both an Auto and 5 speed for me, and both work exceptionally well.The prices are fair also.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Great experience. Honest business; and, fairly priced. They are very knowledgeable. I would recommend to anyone needing transmission work or service. I was recommended by a taxi service. My Nissan transmission decided to go out two weeks before Christmas. Sta-Rite not only quoted me the best rate to fix but they got me back on the ROAD in 4 days! Everyone else wouldn't do the repair until after the New Year Holiday. So glad i found these angles on earth.

Austin and the crew rebuilt my transmission pretty quick. I brought the transmission in to them separate from the truck. Pricing was fair and turnaround time was quick. I still haven t installed the transmission from last year. Thanks guys!

Austen operates a great company. He made the extra effort to make sure our transmission issues were properly resolved at a fair price. He had to deal with a salvage yard as to whether the dealer was correct about the used part being proper for our Jeep, but he stuck to his ethics, even to his possible financial detriment. Austen is very admirable business owner. Highly recommend.

I had an appointment but they didn't service it until a week later AND it STILL has the same PROBLEM, and I've only put a hundred miles on it and only driven it very carefully, I call them often trying to get them to back their work up, and they fail to return the phone callsService: TransmissionService: Transmission

I left my differential to be rebuilt, speaking to the owner directly. He wrote my name down and said they were busy, but it'd probably be a week. I checked on it weekly, stopping by and looking at the differential sitting in the exact same place while other differentials and what not came and went.When I asked about it after 4 weeks, the owner's wife answered and said she would find out what was going on with it.She called back later to tell me that they looked at, but it was missing a bearing and a nut, and that the fluid coupling that the owner said was fine 4 weeks before, was bad. My guess is that they didn't want to mess with it.I stopped by and picked it up from the floor of the shop without a word from anyone as I left.I wouldn't recommend "Sta-Rite" Transmission to anyone. Absolutely terrible service and indifference towards their customers. THIS customer, at least!

I went in with a 9 O'clock appointment and at 9:03 my van was being evaluated, expertly.To my delight the problem wasn't my transmission but an engine "miss". I was charged zero dollars.I am not a customer but I will be if I ever need. Impressive.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

Awesome place. I've called them up and got easy quotes. They rebuilt my C4 Corvette 700R4 perfectly. They work on a wide range of cars. Owner is cool and personable. I ever bought a Volvo from him. Great guy, great business.

They did a good job replacing my transmission fluid and letting me know the status of my transmission.They called to let me know my car was ready, but when I arrived the only counter worker had gone to lunch and not told anyone about my car, so it took a while to get the bill and keys together, which is why I give 4 stars instead of 5.

Austin was an absolute pleasure to work with! I had my Nissan transmission replaced at well under Hummel's estimate and in half the time! I've NEVER met such a professional but super friendly crew. Fingers crossed I won't have to revisit but if I do, I can't say I'd hate it. My car is my lifeline and sta-rite saved me!! THANK YOU!!!

Had an appt. to get my clamps from the transmission to the radiator leak fixed and when I took it my car in the workers there all looked at me like why was I there. I told them that i made the appt i think it was with Austin few days prior to my appt and I also told them what needed fixed so dropped my car off for all day . The guy I spoke with sId that they would call me when theu thought it wood be done so here it is 2:30pm still no call. I called Starite cuz it was getting late that day and the kid that answered the phone had no idea wat was gping on with my car so he told me to hold on the phone to see when my car wood be done then he got back on the phone and told me it agould be done by the tome they closed at 5pm. I then told the guy on the phone i will call them back by 430pm so i can pick up my car before they closed at 5pm. I get there like 5 til 5pm and the other guy i talked with that morning told me that my appt wssnt even written down and the Austin i made the appt with was on vacation!! The guy apologized to me and told.me to bring it.in the next day again and he promised they qood gwt.my car fixed!! Wow really i was ao piased off bout their services and cust service cuz i had to get a friend to take.me so.my car qood get fixed and we waited all day for my car and they have poor services and they estimated like $300 so over priced.... My boyfriend that nite said forget them fixing my car and that he could do the job himself.and fix it!! My parts were all.under 20 bucka from O"reillys and i saved alot of money by not going back to Starite transmission!! Can u believe how much they were charging me when thebparts were so cheap and labor wasnt hard to do..... Im glady they didnt end up getting my car fixed that day cuz i saved like 280 dollats by my boyfriend googling how to fix my car!!! I just cant beieve how.much they can overcharge the customers

I had my son's car towed there because the clutch was out. They stated when I called them it would be done in a couple of days. After not hearing from them, my husband called after they had the car for 2 1/2 days and they still hadn't started on it. When it was finally finished, the gears wouldn't shift in the car. They said they could fix it, but instead they put a temporary "fix" on the car and we had to take it back. After realizing there was a gasket that they hadn't replaced they repaired it and sent my son on his way. Not 10 minutes after having the car back, it started overheating. When we called them back, the response I got was "What do you want me to do about it?". I took the car to our local repair shop and they found that 4 fuses were "pinched" from the transmission being removed. One of those fuses was to the fan and that's why the car was overheating. I WOULD NOT recommend this taking your vehicle to this place. Find a better transmission shop who can do the work right the first time and has a much better attitude towards customers.

I had some work done on my Durango there it was pretty quick and a decent price and when it wasn't up to par they took it and fixed it for free no complaints

I've been going to stay right for 20 years, I have always received fair pricing, actually Austin could have charged me much more for less work by requiring a rebuilt transfer case. I wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else.
