Helped my mother-in-law purchase a new vehicle and could not have been happier with the Smart Honda experience. From my initial inquiry with our sales rep, Ted Lane, throughout the purchase, finance and delivery process, we were very impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail. Very fair pricing and excellent finance/lease options. My mother-in-law decided to go with a 2024 HRV and her monthly lease payment is only $250 for 3-years. She was trying to keep her payment under $300 and Smart Honda made it happen. We had contacted several other dealers around the area and none of them could come close to the deal we received at Smart Honda. Thanks again to Ted Lane and the entire Smart Honda team!

I'll make a long story short. But the shortest story of all is how exemplary the team at Smart Honda was when we pulled in with our cat trapped in the dashboard!On a recent road trip, our cat, Meatball (go figure), somehow crawled up through the footwell and into the dash where he became trapped. We called ahead to Smart Honda to have him rescued .When we arrived, the team was waiting for us. With a plan. Robin, the service manager, temporarily closed the Service Bay and arranged for Derek, a Master Tech, to perform the "extraction". After Derek disassembled most of the drivers side of the dash, Meatball walked out. Unharmed. And Unfazed."In 35 years, I've NEVER seen a cat trapped in a dashboard" is a direct quote from the Smart staff.The Smart team went so far above and beyond what we could have expected, that we are very grateful to them for being such great human beings. We have five cats, so we may be back Thank you to everyone at Smart Honda.!

Quick and easy process and everything went smoothly. We ended up selling our old car elsewhere, not as a trade-in, to get a better value to use as down payment. Matt Carlson was super accommodating even though we weren t trading in, very flexible on scheduling, and let us borrow a loaner car to get back to the dealership after selling our old car at the other place. Matt was very helpful, transparent, and informative through the whole process: answering lots of questions, providing inspection documentation and services completed, letting us do test drives on our own, handling license plate transfer, and getting us into our new car at the exact payment we wanted. Wasn t looking forward to going through the car buying process, but couldn t ask for a better experience with Matt and Smart Honda.

My wife and I bought a new CR-V with the help of Scott Davis and Steve Fulton. This was by far the best experience we have had with a dealership. Straight forward process without pushing extra things we didn't want. Very happy with the service, I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone needing a vehicle.

We have leased from Smart Honda for several years. Todd Decker has been our go to salesman. He is very helpful! He kept us updated in what cars would be arriving on the lot and any deals that were happening. It took us several months(our lease wasn t up, but knew we needed to be ready). Todd walked us through several different models to help us decide what would work best for us. Usually we lease a CRV, this time we chose an HRV and love it!Please see Todd for your car needs!The service department was absolutely wonderful too!

This is our 3rd vehicle that we have purchased from Smart Honda of Des Moines. They provide excellent service. Matt our salesman remembered our names even though we haven t been in the dealership for several years! I would highly recommend Matt and crew at Smart Honda!

We just bought a used Honda Pilot and I couldn t be happier. Will was the salesperson and he was knowledgeable and professional throughout the process. I really dislike buying cars, but he made everything so pleasant and easy. I brought the vehicle back in because there was a minor issue with some loose trim and Will brought out a service guy who fixed the problem very quickly. But he saw another piece of trim that was slightly out of alignment (hardly visible), and he fixed that too. After the adjustment Will noticed that there were some finger marks on the glass so he went and got some glass cleaner.All in all it went really well, and the vehicle is just great.Happy, happy, happy.

I am very happy with the used Chevy Equinox I recently purchased at Smart Honda. Dave, my salesman was very helpful in the whole process from meeting him at the door through the purchasing process. He took the time to make sure I knew all the cars features before I drove off. I felt very comfortable with everyone involved in this buy. Its a got a good deal from a dealer who cares about their customers.

I was debating on posting this because I don t want him to get too busy but I have to because he deserves it. Josh Smith is one of the hardest working and nicest guys i have ever had the pleasure to work with. He is always honest and up front about any and all issues. He will tell you the truth and be open to all questions. He keeps you up to date on all issues or things that are going on. If something can wait he will tell you and not make you terrified. He can always make me laugh even while my wallet is hurting because of a repair. I am sometimes worried about being taken advantage of because i don t know a lot about cars but he never does. He ll even be honest saying some places will tell you it needs be done NOW but you don t it s ok to wait I cannot give this guys enough praise. He s amazing

Scott Davis is the best auto sales person I have seen in some time. He is not just interested in selling a Honda to people, but he acts as an advocate for the people he deals with. This is the 2nd Honda my wife and I have purchased from SMART Honda, and we enjoy doing business with them - largely due to the great service we get when dealing with Scott.

I love dealing with Smart Honda and especially Leon Wilkens! I have leased 4 cars over the past 7+ years and I will only deal with Leon! I m am now driving my 3rd CRV and it saved us from a couple of what could have been very serious accidents this past year! Extremely happy with the start to finish process of buying our new van at Smart Honda. Will was extremely helpful and not pushy at all. Gave me all the info and made the process go perfect with no issues at all. Even was able to get our new van early for us . Ted Lane, Tim in finance and Mike Morales in Service are truly the best! They all came to introduce themselves when I bought my CRV SPORT. I am beyond impressed by the guys at Smart Honda in Clive Iowa, none better! Ted explained my SUV to me in great detail, best salesman! Tim in finance was funny and light hearted which is a great combo when you re spending so much! Mike Morales in service was a sweetheart that really knows the workings of Hondas, I appreciate his knowledge. Thanks everyone, you all rock!!!

Matt Norman at Smart Honda was very helpful, not pushy, and quick to respond to questions with helpful answers. The sales department manager tried to low ball us on the price of our trade in, despite me showing him on my phone the price that Carvana was offering. So we sold our vehicle (in perfect condition and with lots of extras) to Carvana and we bought our new (used) vehicle from Smart Honda. Matt made it a great experience and the finance department was quick and efficient with the paperwork too.

Dang took the time to go thru all of the car s features and make sure we understood each. He pointed out features of which I had been unaware. This only served to confirm for me that we had made the best vehicle choice for us. I also greatly appreciated that he didn t push and let me tell him when we were finally ready to move forward and buy our CR-V .

I love car shopping that s a popular phrase right?! Well with smart Honda it was easy, fair, and trustworthy. It made me actually enjoy the process for the first time. Great dealership. Very friendly atmosphere and very helpful with the process of buying a car or two. I recommend to talk to Lou Castillo when buying a car. Very good salesman! Definitely wil come back again in the future if I need another car.

We had some general service work completed on one of our CRV's this week. David S - service advisor, did a great job keeping me informed on the work status and possible repair items I need to consider in the future. David is a stellar employee!There is one issue regarding payment that should make a make many customers irate! Smart Honda is now charging 3% extra if you want to pay by credit card. Come on folks, prices are high enough!! Bad move.

We just bought our second vehicle from Smart Honda. We had the best experience. We used the same salesman Levi Hawk. He is wonderful. Very thorough and knows his product very well. Had the perfect personality to work with the public. No pressure from him at all. Will recommend him to anyone. The manager Aaron Logan also stopped to check if he could be of any assistance. I recently moved to Iowa from Columbus Ohio. Before relocating, I was involved in a bad accident, leaving me with nothing but a rental. I was in a frantic search to find a vehicle & further frustrated when a different dealership insulted me & told me that I couldn't afford something from their lot. I'm happy that dealership pushed me away, so I would turn to Smart Honda. This place is more than a dealership. It's community and makes their customers feel like family. I was lucky enough to work with Cole. He was amazing and did everything he could to get me in the vehicle that I wanted. In less than 24 hours Cole, Matt and rest of the team had me going home in my vehicle. This was definitely a warm welcome to Iowa and a break from all of the mishaps of 2023. Excellent customer service!
