Scotty s was the only place I could find in town that did fiberglass repair, they helped me out when I was in a jam and I am glad I was able to do business with them as I will come here going forward. They not only gave me a very fair price but went above and beyond by washing and detailing my vehicle it looked and smelled like brand new when I got it picked up. I can t speak highly enough. Do yourself a favor and at least give them a chance. I m glad I did!

I was rear-ended in the fall and took my car here for repair. They were on time, communicative and overall very easy to work with. Tucker was always very willing to answer all of my questions and help me with genuine kindness. I would recommend this business to all of my friends and family. If I ever have car troubles again I would happily make the 30 minute drive from my house to go to Scotty s!

I stopped in this morning for an estimate on the plastic guard under my front bumper that had come loose. Tucker took the keys, pulled it in the shop, and reattached it at no charge. Made my day. Great customer service!

Scotty s is always amazing! They have done work on several of our vehicles at both of their locations over the years and they never disappoint! They make the process easy from step one, deal with the insurance company so you don t have to and get your vehicle back to its original condition quickly and beautifully. Their excellent service continues with the ability to leave your rental car there and they will take care of the return for you. The detail they do on the interior of your car after every service is a nice touch as well. A plus service again, and we will be back if the need arises again!

Had the front assembly replaced and repaired and they went above and beyond. Took out a dent in the back without me asking to have it done. Dropped it off for vacation and came back into town and they had it completed in perfect time! Great communication and exceeded my expectations ! Stress free

Best customer service ever! I would absolutely recommend this body shop to my friends or family members. They helped me reattach a piece of my car after it came off in a car wash. Not only does it look back to new but they also saved me $400! #winning

I had extensive hail damage to my car and my insurance was only estimating a small portion of what it would actually cost to fix it. They were willing to work with my insurance to show them that it was a total loss with no benefit to themselves, and they did it within 3 hours. It was much appreciated and I will definitely be back if I ever have any issues in the future!

Amazing experience - called in the evening to fix a broken tail light, and they scheduled me the next morning. Got a call an hour after dropping off my truck, and it was ready for pick up! Super friendly staff and very reasonably priced!

I brought my truck in for body work after it was backed into in a parking lot. I had the passenger side door replaced, the rocker repaired, and new door painted. This was my first time needing body work in the Des Moines area so I brought it to Scotty's based on generally good reviews. Overall, the job looked decent. Parts were aligned well, and the paint was blended very nicely. Everyone I worked with there was professional and they have a very nice facility. Being a details guy, it was a handful of small things that cumulatively put me off about the job.The first thing I noticed when I opened the new door- there was a screw (presumably from the door) sitting loose in the center console. It may be an extra or something that was replaced, but when you're picking up a car from having work done it doesn't put your mind at ease.Next I noticed there was a grommet missing in the door frame, which I pointed out and they replaced on the spot.They left a roll of painting tape wedged in between my back window and my tuck topper which I'm going to have try to get out.They did not apply the new truck emblem on the new door. When I picked it up I didn't think it would be a big deal because I figured there'd be nobs on the emblem to indicate where on the door its supposed to line up, but apparently there isn't. I'll need to measure and tape off exactly where it needs to go to make sure it is straight, level, and in line with the drivers side emblem. Pain in the neck.Lastly, inside the new door along the line between the new/existing paint there were places where the new clear coat was peeling off. Not a huge deal with where its located, but if you are particular it is noteworthy.Update- company reached out to me after the fact and attempted to make things right. They really did have great customer service.

Scotty's on University at 1st Ave. has been the best repair shop!!! The work done is fantastic; it looks brand new. They are all kind and helpful when you have an accident that brings you to the shop. The office folks dealt with my insurance without any difficulties. My car was even finished before the promised time frame. I recommend Scotty's for any repair needs. The first place I called, at the insurance company's suggestion, never returned my calls, so I returned to Scotty's. I know they will do good work for you!Service: Body & Trim

I was scouring town this morning for a place that could cut a small piece of trim from my Crv so I could install my roof rails and rack. Low n behold I walk into this establishment and am greeted by Tucker. He took my car and I was waiting for a quote. 10 min later...Bing Bang Boom all done. He didn't even charge me. 5/5 service

This place has it all. The customer service is phenomenal, going way above any expectations that I had. I got a virtual estimate returned within 24 hours and they were able to schedule service within a week. I had a bumper replacement done and they did a fantastic job. I took my wife's 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe to Scotty's in downtown Des Moines for repair after a rear-ender on Interstate 235. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience. Getting an estimate was quick and easy. They worked hard to get the car in quickly, and repairs were completed FLAWLESSLY sooner than I was told to expect. Communication during the process was timely and comprehensive. Above all, the people at Scotty's with whom I worked were polite, friendly, and professional. This is now my go-to spot for this kind of work. Nothing bad to say. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.Service: Body & Trim

There are reasons some businesses stay around forever and Scotty's exhibits all of them. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable about the work being done there. I came in on a Saturday for an estimate and Robert had me set up with a quote, filed it with my insurance company, and helped me get set up with a rental car within 30 minutes. The work they did on both of our cars was immaculate. The service was so far beyond what we expected that we were blown away by the experience. Above and beyond expectations doesn't happen often but when it does it really makes you appreciate a business like this. Hopefully we won't need their services very often, but if we ever do, we will be lifetime customers.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I ve used Scotty s twice now and found the service to be nothing less than exceptional. Most recently I went to the shop to get an estimate to repair a small scratch on my SUV. To my surprise, they pulled my vehicle in the garage and repaired within 15 minutes all at no charge to me. The tech even provided some touch up paint to take with me for when it happens again. We recently bought a 2007 Honda Accord. My wife took it to Scotty s for some minor work. She could not say enough good things about them friendly, helpful, excellent customer service. The best service I have ever had. We hit a deer and needed a significant amount of work done. They worked with the insurance quote and were efficient and thorough. They were done with all repairs in 4 days. The car was spotless inside and out when we got it back. Looks like a brand new vehicle. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and helpful and very informative on the phone. We will definitely be using Scotty s in the future if we ever need work done again!

This is an excellent company if you have autobody needs. Their drive up estimate is extremely convenient for those that have inconsistent schedules! I came in today for an estimate on hail damage and they got me in right away. They closed at 5, but continued to look over my car even after closing. I greatly appreciated them staying after hours. They were all very professional, respectful, and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend Scotty's Body Shop!

Worth the wait! I was in a car accident back in February. The earliest they could service my car was mid March. I was kind of sad that it was going to take a month, but I am so glad that I decided to use Scotty s! They had my car for about six or seven days, and it looks brand new! So very impressed. You might have to wait a few weeks before they can service your car, but you won t be disappointed!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

My vehicle was backed into while parked on a side street on Easter. I was not sure where to even start with getting it repaired and Scotty's body shop jingle went off in my head so I took the car here. The man working the front is amazing. He's friendly, knowledgeable and honest. He got the mirror ordered and replaced so it was safe for me to drive again. I believe his name is Tucker. Also had pleasant interactions with 2 women working up front. It's rare to see people at work, enjoying their job these days. Seemed like a wonderful environment and ill be back to get the rest of the damages repaired as soon as I can. I appreciate it so much Scotty's
