Excellent service as usual. The technician spent time walking around the vehicle with me, reviewing any issues. The work was done quickly at a fair price. It s difficult these days to find trustworthy repair facilities. This is one of the few. Highly recommended.

Took my '66 Ford F-100 here for brake work. They did such a great job with the exhaust; I wanted them to work on the brakes. Adam worked thru the cobbled brake mess that the previous owner had put together, found many issues, and fixed them all! The price was less than I was anticipating, and I am VERY happy with the final product.Thanks for fixing my cobbled mess!

I don t write a ton of reviews but was very impressed with my recent experience and would highly recommend them. They were friendly, got me in quick, explained and confirmed options before starting work, quoted accurately, and finished the work much faster than expected. They were even nice enough to recommend a shop to complete work outside of their offerings. No one wants to pay for repairs but I will look to them first for any future work.

The owner heard me pull up after hours and pulled my rig in the shop for the night. Pretty good first impression! They came highly recommended and I can see why.

I had an amazing experience with this company. Firestone quoted me $1,400.00 for a whole new exhaust system, when all I had was a leak that could be patched, and 1 pipe that needed to be replaced. I saved over $1,100.00 thanks to Iowa Mufflers & Brake. They even helped me when my engine light came on randomly afterwards. These people really care about their customers and it shows. They have a very friendly and professional team.

Quality work! Ladies at the desk were very friendly made you feel more like a friend rather than a customer. The folks working in the garage were also great. Didn t talk down to me and explained fully what was wrong and needed to be fixed. Didn t push anything on me that I didn t want to have done. Will definitely come back if I need muffler and or exhaust work done.

They were very pleasant to work with and offered several options to fix the exhaust on my car. While I was in there I saw classic muscle cars to modern muscle cars to everyday vehicles.

Great experience, excellent customer service!! I showed up for my scheduled appointment, they took my vehicle straight in and got to work on it. The mechanics Had me come back and look at What needed to be fixed gave me their pricing, and had me out of there in less than an hour. I would highly recommend them! Thank you

The owners provided me with an estimate. The final bill was what was estimated. The employees showed me on the car what I needed for repairs. I recommend this business very highly. They were very professional and had a very nice clean lobby where I waited while my car was repaired in a timely manner. Thank you

They replaced the brakes on our 2016 Hyundai Elantra GT. The mechanic showed me all the parts that came off the car and explained the deterioration and the reasoning behind replacing them. I believe they were honest and efficient. I know that you get what you pay for and we paid for top rate service.I would go back when need be.

Another great job by Iowa Muffler on my new Ford F-150. This is the third F-150 they've done dual exhausts on for me, and John did a perfect installation. That's why I keep coming back, and will continue to do so. It's really comforting to know you can go to a place where you don't have to worry about whether the job will be done right. We were having some issues with exhaust on our car, so made an appointment with Iowa Mufflers. Had never been here before, but had a great experience. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They showed me the issue when the car was up on the hoist, and gave me a practical way to fix it without a big expense. I was in/out in about 30 minutes. I just moved here from Kansas and began having issues with my car- my dad gave them a call and got an appointment for me. They were very kind to both me and my dad and did not take advantage of my cluelessness. They even went above and beyond to tell me that if I had any other issues with my vehicle to bring it in and they would recommend where to take it if they could not fix it. Reasonable prices and very nice staff, would absolutely recommend their services!

Great place! Old School shop feel. They diagnosed, quoted and order parts. Repair was made 4 days later after parts came in. They were on point with the cause and costs. Good experience overall. Planning to go to them from hear on for general maintenance and oil changes.

They were so friendly, they checked out my vehicle the problem wasn't what I thought it might be, there was no charge for them looking at it. Awesome shop, I will definitely return there if my vehicle needs work....I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

If I could leave Zero stars I would.Owner is rude employees lied and dId bad work .They also did bait and switch estimate was one price then they said it would be 6 times the original estimate.The have friends and family leave reviews to inflate their rating ,even the left her own review.Like others have said they cater to the high dollar car guys.I have since been to 2 other shops (converter)(dealer warranty)to have exhaust work done both were better options.Go anywhere else but IOWA MUFFER!!!!You have been warned.Services: Exhaust, Auto exhaust system repair

Quick Service, friendly staff, great prices! Had a rusting exhaust pipe connection and my main mechanic recommended I take it here. Called and was told I could have taken it in in that same day, but it worked better for me to schedule a few days later. I expected to be there at least an hour, if not more, but I was in and out in less than 45 minutes! All the staff seemed very friendly and professional, and they even showed me what was going on and suggested fixing another rusting connection so I wouldn't run into issues later. I was able to see where the issues were and approve the repairs, saving some money in the long run. The pricing for the repairs was very reasonable. I highly recommend Iowa Mufflers & Brake!

Great, Friendly service, they take the time to explain everything that they are doing to your vehicle, and have you inspect before taking off the lift. Everyone there was a pleasure to deal with.

It's been a week or two since I took my car in and it's been great! My car hasn't done a singular sound of complain! They were super nice since I walked in. Got my car fixed the same day with no appointment. The whole Muffler system had to be replaced since it had rusted and almost fallen off so of course it was a pricey repair, but they gave me three repair options with cheaper prices which I thought was great! I got the most expensive one and I don't regret it! They even showed me how rusted and deteriorated my old Muffler looked. A week later they sent me a thank you letter on the mail which I thought was super sweet. Highly recomend this place!

Had a muffler installed here and could not be happier!! Shop was able to get me in very quickly and even better they were able to do the work that same day. I was able to see and hear what it was like before final install and work with them to get what I wanted. I wish every shop was this friendly and easy to work with!!! Iowa Muffler is the only exhaust shop to go to in Des Moines. Daily drivers, muscle cars or full customs they are the experts with reasonable prices and fast service. I have been a customer since the early 1990s. Thank you for all you do.
