Tanner and the whole team was beyond amazing to work with. I brought my recently purchased vehicle to check for an oil leak. They discovered so much more that was wrong with my vehicle, that the dealership should've never sold me the car.I have spent 25 years in customer service and have never received an experience as amazing as his, and the whole crew.Tanner went above and beyond any expectation I had. Honest Wrenches will forever be my go-to.Thank you so much for taking such great care of me today! I will highly recommend and spread the word, they are truly HONEST. I brought my vehicle in today for the first time, I was truly blown away by the level of service from the moment I walked in the door until i checked out! Top notch customer service, upfront diagnostic services including explanations, and the tech telling you what you really need to be mindful of. There was a level of attention to the customer like I have never seen in the automotive industry before! Take your vehicle here, you will not be disappointed - i know i will be back!

Honesty and top notch service for a hefty premium. They are friendly, professional and get the work done in a timely manner. They are good about following up with you during and after the service However, I'm surprised that other reviews find their prices reasonable. If you price shop, you will find that their prices are higher than most comparable shops. Their business model is to give honest evaluation and to do work that you feel confident about. Unfortunately they charge for everything they do. Their coupons are chintzy. While some shops will provide free estimates or a free estimate if you get the work done there, Honest Wrenches will change you on average $200 just to identify the work that needs to be done. If your budget is not tight, Honest Wrenches is the best place to have work done.

Extremely polite, professional, and thorough. They looked over the vehicle through and through and found a problem that even Charles gave us Ford missed that was obvious. We will be returning and recommend Honest Wrenches to everyone!

One of the best experiences I've ever had with a broken car, typically when you're in this sort of situation everything can seem pretty grim, but with the guys here at Honest Wrenches ot was hinestly a breeze to get through. The prices are about what you'd expect from a car service, so dont be too suprised. The real experience is with talking to the employees though. Tanner and Evan are wonderful people who made me and my family very happy to be working woth them. Overall the experience was incredible, fast, not too expensive, and fun! 10/10 would recommend if you need service on your vehicle!

Excellent service, great communication. First time in my life I ve had a mechanic do an actual inspection of the vehicle from front to rear and isolate deficiencies, and then clearly communicate what needed to be done and what could wait until the next service.Highly recommend this tremendous experience to anyone who cares about maintaining their vehicle to extend the life and enhance performance.

Neat clean facility. Shuttle service was excellent. I was amazed at the inspection report with photos. Joshua Miksch went over the report with me and answered my questions. He was very personable and professional. Not really knowing if the price he gave me for the work was reasonable, I googled it when I got home and found the price was very good. Parts came in quickly and work completed in very little time. I am so happy to have found such a great place for car repairs, and feel they are extremely trustworthy. I will highly recommend Honest Wrenches to my friends.

Honest Wrenches will continue to get our business in the future. A friend recommended we use them for some emergency car repairs, and the entire process was seamless. Tanner was our CSR, and he was friendly, knowledgeable, patient and fully transparent with everything that we could expect with the decisions we needed to make (the good, bad and the ugly!). They have a process that works, and it made the whole experience stress-free. We truly appreciate their help!

Hands down the best service I have ever experienced with a car repair shop ever! (Thanks for the recommendation Shawn!) They came out to get my car from my home and took the time to truly figure out the issue when all I could say was I just know something sounds off but don t know what. . They found the issues and kept me in the know the entire time. We got parts order and the car was fixed that same day. The communication is 5 stars alone. Someone would text me letting me know when they were leaving the shop and they would text me once they dropped my car off at my home, in Bondurant might I add. Tanner was very informative and would update me as they went. 10/10 will be using them every time. I have been suggesting them to my friend and family ever since.

Honest Wrenches, without a doubt, has been, hands down, the most complete and satisfactory mechanic service I ve ever had the pleasure to experience. Every facet of my experience met and exceeded my expectations! First off, Clinton, the mechanic who took incredible care of my vehicle, returned to me an immaculate finished product that I was very confident driving out of the parking lot because of the immense and diligent attention to detail in the inspection and work done on the vehicle! The CROWN jewel of my entire experience with Honest Wrenches was the tremendous customer service rendered by the stud, the King, the Legend, Mr. DIAMOND Joshua Miksch! His communication was fantastic! I never had to guess, at any point, what step of the process we were in or what, exactly was going to be happening in that step! He spearheaded the project with a level of confidence so contagious that all doubt was removed from my mind from the very beginning. On top of his confidence was an aura of sincerity surrounding him that let me know his only interest was my best interest. From this one experience, I can say, with complete conviction, that Honest Wrenches sets the standard of excellence not only for businesses in the auto repair industry, but for businesses of all fields!

I came to Honest Wrenches for just a standard oil change but I received outstanding service! First they came to my house to pick up my car, which is very helpful especially if you have small children! Then they gave me an oil change AND an inspection of my entire car, not just a couple of fluid levels. I love it! I drive my car for work, so being able to be proactive about the health of my vehicle is a huge plus!!! Thank you!

The nicest employees I've ever encountered at a shop. Everyone was very friendly and made me feel welcome. They also made sure to keep me updated on the progress of my car throughout the day, which I really appreciated. Top tier customer service, for sure. I'll be back.

I asked a friend if there were any honest mechanics anymore and he said call on Honest wrenches. MY friend stated, & I agree the experience was simply wonderful. They have gotten me in the next day when I've called at 4:00 p.m. the night before. They always give straight answers discuss prices and work to be done. If they find an issue when they're working on your car different than what you've discussed, they will call you give you an estimated price tell you whether or not it needs to be done immediately or if it can wait. They are simply the best mechanics I've ever been to, I doubt I will ever go anywhere else, ever. I think that Honest Wrenches is beyond reproach!

I have gone to Honest Wrenches for a couple oil changes in a row now and have been very happy with their service! They have always provided plenty of information about any maintenance they recommend and are thorough with their communication. They also have been very accommodating when it comes to scheduling & picking my car back up.

I have always been impressed with the level of service I am given by every employee and especially my Service Advisor Joshua aka JD . He is the best and is another reason I ll keep coming back. Zero stars. There are other places that can perform the work with quality and costs about half of what they want to charge. I got dinged with two diagnostic charges even when they failed to fix the car the first time. Then was told 3400 for the repairs after paying 1000 for the initial work. Found someone that would do the work for 1200 less. I'm curious if they fixed something that didn't need repaired the first time. I also was told that the part was on back order and would take a week or two to get in. The mechanic that fixed my car found it in 5 minutes. Remember future customers of this company, there are other mechanics that need the work and won't kill you with all the extra fees. Look around and/or ask your friends who they have had good experiences with. I will not go to this place again. I'm guessing they work on commission.

The core of it is that they have fantastic service in every way! The actual work is spot on and I've never had complaints at either location. What sets them apart is the communication, service, effortlessly going the extra mile, and genuinely being nice people to interact with. Tanner especially here was helpful and went out of his way to make sure we understood and were comfortable with what was happening.

I cannot express how much I appreciate the team, and specifically Tanner, for the level of care and detail they have provided my 2019 Jeep Compass since I came into their shop a little over a year ago. Hard working and flexible with my busy schedule, I am beyond satisfied with the work I have had done with this shop. From simple oil changes to brake diagnosis and chassis issues, there is nothing that hasn't been addressed in a timely and affordable manner. We had a great experience with Honest Wrenches in Ankeny from start to finish. Dropped off our car and was able to get a ride home from Honest Wrenches. Tanner called and went over the inspection and explained what needed to be done. He prioritized the repairs, no pressure to repair everything, left that decision to us. Decided to have everything done at once and Tanner said he would update us. Larry completed the work and the car was finished the following day. Everyone was so professional, friendly, and a pleasure to work with, thank you for great customer service.

Phenomenal place to get our car serviced. My wife never feels like she is miss treated or her input doesn t matter. We also never feel dumb when asking a question about vehicles. The service techs do a great job working with us and not pressuring any sales/fixes we get to call the shots of what gets fixed without fear. We also appreciate the attention of service with picking our car up and dropping it off at a destination makes getting the car serviced easy for us!Joshua Miksch is one of our favorite service techs because he gives us full detail explanations with reasonable understanding of attention to budget for fixes.Best mechanic place in the Des Moines Metro we suggest it to everyone we know!

I needed new tires, as mine were very noisy. I wanted black rims, so they had the rims powder coated in black and suggested which tire I should use. They replaced the tires with new ones that rode very smooth and were very quiet, which was exactly what I wanted. Thanks again Honest Wrenches
