First time customer of Hilltop downtown, wish I had known of them sooner. Fast, friendly, fairly priced battery and oil change service and skilled remediation of a minor engine noise problem. Shoutout to Jason, the service manager - wish everyone in a public facing position had his people skills.

I went in for an oil change on a company vehicle and I was so impressed with the service I took my personal vehicle in for snow tires. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The location is very convenient for folks living downtown.

Called Hilltop this morning to ask if they could re-program my tire pressure sensors since the place I had previously been to must not have done this. They said I could stop by anytime and I asked if being there in 10 minutes would be okay as it was on my way to work and they said that would be fine. They quickly re-programmed my sensors and topped off the air in all my tires and didn t even charge me a thing. I will definitely be a customer in the future! Thank you!!

TRUSTED BUSINESS Been with them for several years now!! Very thorough & Fair Prices!Friend came in town & needed a Oil Change He'd already cleaned his Air Filter & was a little short on cash!! Hilltop Service just changed the oil & filter, did the 22 Point & he got a do able price & saved a little money!! Truck is much happier now!! Thanks

Had a bad tire that probably would not even have made it home after work. No appointment at all the rep got me in within 5 minutes, show me a used tire (that looked brand new imo)and quoted me 60$ for the mount, balance, and disposal of my old tire and had me back on the road in Literally 10 minutes. I did specifically watch the rep hand tighten each lug nut before putting the gun on it!! Great service, great price, and I got home only about 15 minutes later than any other day!!! THANK YOU HILLTOP!!!!!

If you live in downtown, Hilltop is definitely the best place for car care. I m sure I saved hundreds of $ s for one repair and experienced another occasion where they fixed a minor issue within minutes.Services: Tires, Oil changeServices: Tires, Oil change

Set up a drop off and pick up over the phone for my tires to be installed on my pickup. I had 4 mounted and balanced along with an alignment. All the questions I had over the phone and in person were answered and they made it super easy to drop off and pick up due to my work hours. The process went smooth and the person who assisted me was very nice! If I need this service again I would come back here to this location. Took my car in a couple of weeks ago at 8:30am and was clear that I would need to pick it up by 2pm, which they agreed to. Showed up at 2 and it wasn't ready, and the new person working said they had no idea that it was supposed to be ready at 2pm. Tried again today, waiting in line, got to the front and began to hand them my key, their phone rang, and they proceeded to answer it and have a lengthy convo about tires instead of just asking the person on the phone to hold.

First time taking my car here about a month ago and I was, and still am, very pleased with the work they did! I was pretty certain my previous mechanic wasn t taking good care of my car but the guys at Hilltop definitely exceeded expectations... they not only changed my oil & tires, but caught several issues I had been having for a while that the previous mechanic either ignored or couldn t figure out. I appreciate the fact that they send you a detailed report of all the work they do... everything they check, what requires immediate attention, what things can wait but will need to be done soon, etc. They sent me text/emails while my car was there to keep me updated, which was also much appreciated. Their prices are decent too, I ended up spending less than I thought I would for everything I had done and that s always a plus! When I picked my car up from the shop, I could tell as soon as I pulled out of the parking lot how much of a difference they made...my car drove so much smoother, no more issues at all, and I felt much safer! It s been a month and it s still driving great! I will definitely be taking my car back to Hilltop for all future services Thanks again y all!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I dealt with Loren at the downtown location. From beginning to end it was a very great experience. Not only I got a great price on the four tires I purchased, but it was done on time as promised! Loren is a very pleasant person to deal with, he listens, very professional and made sure I was satisfied with the purchase! I will definitely do business at this place again!!Service: Tires

I am from out of state & was in Des Moines due to my grandfather being in the hospital. The night before he was going to be transferred back home, I got a screw in my tire & I was my grandmother's ride home. I picked this business due to the hundreds of amazing reviews & they exceeded my expectations. Not only did they have my tire fixed 40 minutes earlier than their expected time frame, when I went to pay, they said don't worry about it & they hoped my grandfather continued to get better!!!! I & my family will be recommending this business to everyone we know in that area!Service: Tires

I was driving from NJ to KS and came out in the morning to a low pressure warning. I took it to Hilltop at 10:15am and explained my situation. The gentleman took the car right in, took off the tire, showed me the problem and got me fixed up and back on the road by noon. I could not have been happier with the service, the communication, the professionalism. He was great to deal with start to finish and kept our trip on schedule. Thanks again!Service: Tires

I brought my 2011 CHEV Avalanche in for a check over prior to taking some buddies on a Golf/Fishing trip up in the North country. Just wanted to be sure everything OK as this vehicle has pretty much been in storage for the past few years.Jeff @ Hubbell location did a nice job keeping me informed of progress andrecommended service. The staff is always friendly and honest. They have never oversold me anything, and have even suggested that I could wait on some services until later or that I would be just as happy with a lower cost product. It is refreshing to find a place that still has the customer and customer service as their main focus, and are not out to just making a quick buck.

Thanks so much for Hilltop Tire Service.. was told by other place what was supposedly wrong with my vehicle. Took to Hilltop Tire and they found actual problem. Was very upfront about cost and actual time of repair and didn't do anything more. Will not go any other place!!! Thanks again for fixing my car.

I am always skeptical of auto repair shops, but the guys at the Walnut Street location make me feel comfortable and are never pushy. They are always honest with me and don't try to oversell me. I've had tires and brakes changed, as well as oil changes (motor and transmission). Never any issues.Have not used other Hilltop locations.

I had an amazing experience at Hilltop Tire in Des Moines! Jason was so helpful, I came in to get my lug nuts tightened and told him about the rattling that had been happening. He took my car in immediately and started looking at where the rattling might be coming from. I have had rattling in my left wheel for over a year and no one was able to tell me what it was, Jason knew exactly what it was and fixed it right away. I now have no more rattling when I drive! Jason made sure my car was taken care of and was very knowledgable. Definitely recommend this tire shop.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment

Superb service! All staff I came across was very friendly and very informative. They seem very honest, talked me into just doing a tire repair over buying a brand new tire to get me through the holiday season. Will be back in the spring for 4 new tires that even after searching around town they still beat the competition by a long shot. They got a customer for life, thanks again Jason!
