The best and most reliable shop in town. If you are looking for a place that does exceptional work and provides realistic, honest opinions on automobiles (especially Mercedes) This is the best place to go. As long as I am in DSM? This will be where I take my Benz. I cannot speak highly enough of the owner and mechanics!

The last time that I got my car back from Hickman Auto, they treated it with practically no care at all. They had broken a knob on my radio, left a 5" long scratch on my front bumper, and the interior and exterior were filthy after I had left the car there in clean condition. I also asked them to fix and calibrate the Speedometer. I got pulled over a week after getting the car back from them because the Speedometer read 38 MPH and the officer said that I was going 49 MPH. So Hickman Auto didn't calibrate the Speedometer and I almost got a ticket when I thought I was driving safely.

My first experience with Hickman Auto was excellent! I have spent years trying to find a competent mechanic to service my 1973 450sl and I have finally found the right auto service. Within minutes of meeting the owner I could trust that he knew his product and would show care for me and my car. Where others were making expensive guesses to address issues, Hickman Auto immediately identified the problems and made recommendations on what needed attention and what didn't need repair. Had a really great experience replacing my rotors and brake pads at a fair price. It seemed like serving the customer is the utmost priority here and the staff and owner were extremely kind and knowledgeable if you wanted something explained to you. I had the problem diagnosed and fully fixed within a few hours and I was on my way. I was even given an accommodation for transportation while my car was being repaired.Service: Brakes

I had recently been passed down a 1984 porsche 944 from my grandfather, it had mot run in almost 4 years, 24 hours after taking the car to their shop I received a call from them, saying that they were able to start my car and get it running! Conservative, professional, knowledgeable, and fair cost.They pre- buy inspect your vehicle at not charge and give you an honest professional evaluation. The cost is fair and worthwhile. They referred me to ALL DRIVE TRANSMISSION & out any strains attached...I am a female and I need an honest mechanic and Hickman Auto has not failed me....RecommendedSun shines Brighter when you go to HICKMAN AUTO

Jorg and fellas are awesome to work with. They are always friendly and willing to help out. I take my older Mercedes there when needed, very reasonable priced, no better shop especially for Mercedes owners. Way cheaper than the dealership. I highly recommend this repair shop, it was recommended to me by my friend and I decided to try them out. I brought by Mercedes for diagnostics to find the leaks. The owner and the mechanics took their time to evaluate the problems and provide the repair plan and their honest opinion what I should and shouldn't do. They also topped off the fluids as they noticed they were on a lower side. The owner knows what he is talking about as he worked on cars as a mechanic in Germany and knows his German cars pretty well. I found the repair shop I could trust and I will definitely be back to continue servicing my Mercedes. Definitely 5 star service.

Derrick helped me out with issues we were having with my car. He was very reasonable and wanted to be sure that everything was running well before I left with it. Considering I have a baby that rides in the car often its very important that the car is in good shape and safe to drive. All in all I would say that it was a great experience.

As an owner of an older Mercedes Benz I really wanted to find a non-dealer option for repairs and maintenance. Mission accomplished! Hickman Auto Parts and service is a great place to take your German/European cars for all services. Highly recommend.

I recently moved back to the area after many years away. I was in a panic when my car s engine light came on not knowing how severe of a problem it could be, if I would be without a vehicle, and how much it would cost. I took my car here on the recommendation of a friend. They were very professional, kind, and extremely reasonable. I have used Hickman Auto Services in the past and they have always done great by me. Today I called out to see if they could help me regarding about my alternator and J�rg was very helpful.He told me what the parts and labor would be and then he took the time to explain because my SUV was more newer model, it should be covered under my warranty. So did some digging and sure enough he was correct which even if it wasn't, the parts and labor price was still a good deal.I do appreciate people like J�rg, who will take the time to help you, and being very honest as well as helpful making sure this whole mess of mine is done right and saving me money. They will always have my business and my trust! Thank you J�rg and the rest of the crew at Hickman Auto Parts & Service. FYI, Stew Hansen stated it wasn't even the alternator it ended up being a battery defect...go figure.

Hickman Auto has always treated me and my family with the utmost respect and honesty! Ive taken things there for an oil change to a fuel pump to a computer problem! Jim always finds a way to slip me in! Great service great people and probably most important great mechanics! Prices are always reasonable for the quality of work you receive!

This is a small shop full of great people. This is my fourth time here. They have repaired everything from a broken window regulator, washer fluid bottle, full brake job, full muffler replacement, and others. They have always explained what needs to be done, what can wait, labor and part estimates and pretty accurate time frames. From the initial phone call to the pick up everyone I encountered was helpful and were willing to answer my questions. Since it has become more difficult to go to and work with the bigger dealerships, I may have found a worthy go-to neighborhood replacement.

Just called to ask if they can press bearings. Got told that they don't have a press any longer. Asked if they could recommend a shop that could do it. They couldn't. I asked what do they do if they run into a vehicle that needs bearings pressed in or out? "We usually do whatever we can to get around that. You can usually beat them in or out yourself."Great job. Totally unprofessional way of doing things. If you're a shadetree mechanic working out of your driveway, I could see this practice. Not a real shop.
