My dealership told me I needed new tires after my last oil change. I found a great deal on Firestone's website that cut the price my dealership told me by several hundred dollars. Unfortunately, by the time my tire replacement appointment was scheduled the special ended. Fortunately, the gal working found me another deal with a rebate and also in-house discount that was comparable to the original offer. It took about 2.5 hours for the tire replacement, alignment, and test drive but it was totally worth it. I feel like they were patient with me when going through all the different packages and I also appreciate that she found another avenue to get me what I needed. I also like that they remove the alignment fee if they find you don't need one. The waiting room was typical. The coffee machine didn't work but there was water, a vending machine, and charging station.

DO NOT EVER COME HERE. This place is the worst. We had a vehicle towed into the shop because the engine seized. This place charged us $150 to have a tow company move the vehicle inside the building because it wouldn't drive in and "they don't push vehicles". Then, they quoted $18,000 for a remanufactured engine. They stated it was from Jasper Engines and that also covered the shipping and the install kit. However, the total for the "work needed" was over $25,000. I called another shop and asked if this was even in the realm of reality we reside in for an appropriate cost and they laughed and just said "no". The tow truck driver that picked up my vehicle to take it to the other shop laughed and said "you can get an almost new truck for that price, that's insane. Never heard of a used engine for that price before." I went to Jasper Engine's website to get a quote for a remanufactured engine (I got one but was probably not the exact one they got quoted, but very similar to what is needed) for only $2,800. Even if the $4500 for labor they quoted was accurate, the bill should be around $7,000-$8,000... not $25,000. Insane. DO NOT COME HERE FOR VEHICLE REPAIR.

I've had Lifetime Alignment, Balance and Rotation for a few years now and have had it done a few times.This particular locations Hydraulic lift could not handle my trucks weight and could not complete the service. Appointment making was pleasant. Explanation of the issue was informative. CVI and Oil Change was done well. The whole process from "drop off" to "pick up" took 6 hours. A bit long perhaps. I left feeling confident knowing the condition of my vehicle driving away. Still appreciate the work.

I don't usually do bad reviews, but in this case, I find that it's warranted. I took my car in after having a flat with the desire to purchase two new tires. I was talked into buying four, for the price of $90 a tire. When the order was completed, come to find out they had put the $150 tires on instead. A $60 difference, per tire! And when called out about it, they only took $85 off the total price. I understand that I ended up with the better tires, but I did not ask for them! And shouldn't have to pay for their mistake. I will not use this place ever again, and I would definitely discourage others from doing so as well.Service: Tires

Either they need to fix their heater or replace it! This place temperature is almost the same temperature as outside in winter. Your fingers and toes will be freezing as if you re standing outside. Their defense mechanism was it s because of the glass. There are many business places with glasses, and they still maintain good temperature so their customers body doesn t freeze.

I had to wait for my car to be serviced and it did not take nearly as long as I thought it would. Personnel were polite and friendly.

This location has made lost my 2013 Dodge journey engine and completely denied the act. After doing the oil change and forgot to put back oil cap on.

I agree with all the bad reviews of this place, I brought my truck in Today for a simple wheel allignment, I m an ASE certified technician so I ve recently replaced all of my basic steering components including my tie rods. I do not have an allignment rack at my shop so I thought I d give these guys a try, horrible idea, I was greeted inside by a lady who told me straight off the bat they couldn t work on my truck because of the Lift Kit it had I looked at her and straight told her it s stock. It s a 1996 Chevy k1500 they re tall trucks when you crank the torsion bars . She seemed annoyed with my answer but told me I d have to wait to see if they could get it on the rack with my once again stock truck with stock tires I know this is false they re using a Hunter Machine very reputable brand it can handle a lot. She just didn t want to service my truck. The tech gets in my truck to pull it on the rack and tells the lady that he can t do it because of the minor play in the wheel. For anyone who s not mechanical knowledgeable I ll explain to you, that to adjust the outer tie rod ends doesn t require you at all to use the wheel. That s all I was asking for to drive my truck in a straight line and not be worried my kids were going to die. But nope I then got finally told that they didn t have. A tech capable of working on my truck my 27 year old truck . Why are you even doing alignments . I m genuinely disappointed 0 stars for the lady I spoke too and 0 stars for the tech

If I could give 0 stars.. that would be the ideal rating for this location. They're crooks that think all their customers are dumb trying to charge for work. Definitely don't drop your car off on a Sunday especially during football season. They might close early on you and your car will be locked up if you can't make it there within 20min of their call

Great prices for simple things. Oil changes. Flushes. Brakes. Really great tires. expensive, I just haven't had "real adult" money to buy 4 brand new tires for a long time. they can't do everything. But they can diagnose just about everything. Anything specific to a vehicle program has to go to the dealership. They could work on communication with customers a little. We went all day without our main vehicle. Dropped it off at 4am. Needed it back by 4pm and didn't get it back until 6pm. They didn't charge us for the diagnostics they ran, though.

Drove 40+ minutes for scheduled service, I even called so I could drop off my car early, just to get turned away at the door. They started recommending other companies and it just went in one ear and out the other... Now, honestly I don't even care that they couldn't perform the service. I'm upset that it got scheduled in the beginning because I could have gone somewhere else in the first place

I had my mother take her vehicle here. I thought Firestone would have intelligent technicians but boy was I wrong they tried to screw her over every which way since Sunday they tried to convince her she needed all this service done and was told she needed a rear differential on her Hyundai sonata which doesn't have a rear diff im a ase certified master tech and none of what they told her is correct do not take your car here you will get screwed over I'm reporting the manager and technicians to corporate and possibly even the labor board

I haven't been here but was walking by when I observed some employees pulling things (boxing gloves) out of someone's car they were working on and started playing with them, boxing other employees. After seeing them messing with their customer's belongings I would not bring my car there!

After receiving a quote over the phone for an oil change, I chose to go to this business.I was desperate at the time and low on cash.But then I get to the business and the cost went up $18.What?! How does it just jump in price like that?! That is Bad business and will make me a one time customer.Service: Oil change

Called and scheduled a wheel alignment and tire rotation for 3:00 dropped the vehicle off at 2:30 didn't hear anything for the next 4 hours So I got a ride up there to see if my car was done. Found my car sitting in front of the business. Both front windows all the way down with my valuables inside the car & no employees around. Come to find out they didn't even perform the wheel alignment and only rotated the tires and still charged me $60. Overall poor experience won't be returning.Services: Tires, Wheel alignment

While Firestone tires are very high quality, dependable, and long lasting, this isn't the best place to purchaser them. You're going to pay top dollar and the service fees are higher than average as well. My advice, find your tire elsewhere.

We were in Des Moines for a weekend and someone intentionally damaged one of our tires overnight. We were in a bad spot on a Sunday morning, but the lady at this Firestone location fit us into an already full schedule and sold us a quality tire at a fair price that was compatible with our other tires. She could have taken advantage of the situation since we were in a real pinch, but chose the high road. I was impressed and grateful for the outstanding service.

If I could give it a zero i would. I went in for some emergency work. And they charged me $384 just for the same issue to happen after driving it for less then 1 hour. I had to get a liver transplant in the morning and that's why this was literally an emergency. Ended up having to rent a car. Another 200 out of my pocket. Thanks for nothing. Always taking advantage of women because we don't know cars. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They clearly have no faith and have no care for human being life.

This place is known to slam and cram additional charges on your account. It stems deep into the management at this location(Laurence) . If they quote 300$ for a repair expect to pay 700 for additional stuff you don't need. Be careful asking for your friends/family/employee discount they have no problem calling the cops saying your stealing from them.

Called to ask if they could change a turbo charger boost solenoid. The man that answered was rude and condescending. Stated they wouldn't do the job without running their own diagnostic which was going to be $138. Then they'd charge $100+/hr to work on my car. Sir you're not saving lives so you don't deserve a higher pay rate than us nurses that do!

My dad and uncle George.. went to this location on 4-5-22! To have his truck looked at.. not only did they charge him $113, but it took them all day! Of course when it was time to pick it up!! They didn t have any type of diagnosis!! Just referred them to take it to a dealership! Will not to be going back!!

Replaced 2 front tires fairly quickly. The waiting room was clean and the staff were helpful and pleasant. We only use this location due to the consistent quality of the product and the staff. Trustworthy by comparison to other locations and friendly without the condescending attitude sometimes displayed by others to women.

I took Mar vehicle to this location with an alignment issue and got it back with a check engine light and an oil pressure problem. Firestone refuses to accept responsibility because oil has nothing to do with an alignment. NEWS FLASH that is the problem!! Absolute Tash service and while I was there two different customers came in with complaints of how their vehicle was returned to them. At least the don't discriminate they will screw anyone that comes in. Seems like they are not happy until you are not happy. I can't give zero stars but that is what they deserve.

This is my go-to for auto maintenance, tire, and car-issues. Great staff, Friendly. Always willing to provide that extra call so that you get for what you pay for. I prefer to take my car to these guys than any where else in the whole metro of Des Moines.

Excellent place to get tires. Very happy with the price. Matched exactly what the estimate given was. Service was quick, took no time at all for them to get the tires on and to check over the vehicle. Receptionist and technician we're both very patient, kind and communicative during the process. Highly recommend this place for tire work.
